Thank you for your info! This business stuff is confusing and overwhelming lol. Can you tell me if I have to get an LLC in order to make sure that my business name is not stolen or can I just get the EIN and sellers permit (also if I don't get an LLC do I get a Sellers permit as a Sole Proprietor?)? I really just wanted to kind of order some things (small quanities) and just see how that went before I jumped into a website and all that. But I want to be able to purchase from wholesalers, go to Market, etc to get the best prices so I just assumed I needed an LLC from the get go? I appreciate any time and info u can offer me 🙂 also I am in Oklahoma and I would want to be able to sell outside of Oklahoma so I don't know if that entails different things I have to do 😕
From what I found out if you’re a sole proprietor you don’t need and llc. You will need to go to county clerk office and register as a DBA and then go to your city office and apply for a sellers permit.

The government website you register your business on will ask the name of your business and tell you if it’s taken or not

@@BoutiqueBoost no it’s not. Always start with LLC because you never know what could happen. You want to always have that liability coverage and have your personal assets covered.
So how do you hype up your business on social media without any inventory? Like what would you post? I wouldn’t want to post me in outfits I won’t be selling. Ya know?
I posted my giveaway, setting up my room for when I got inventory, sneak peaks from market, polls of things people might like to see while I was at market, and I posted periodically counting down until the store launch. I made graphics that said “one month until launch” or “one week until launch day” etc. gotta get creative.
