the children who’s parents died by murder or suicide are impressing me by being here at this camp & being capable of discussing it with intelligence.

My daughter attends this camp every year. It’s an amazing place that allows kids to be free from their situations, and free in themselves (with and without others). It’s become a sacred place for my daughter; that one time of the year that’s treasured by both of us. We are so grateful that Grief Camps exist. We LOVE Experience Camp!!! ❤ 🕊

My nephew went to this very camp after his father's suicide and it helped him so much.

As a former camper and now counselor I can say this camp changes the path for grieving kids. I once was someone who really thought things couldn’t get better. The camp opened new ways to be comfortable with the loss of my brother.

I'm really glad that these kids are able to take this opportunity. in this circle they can share their grief and speak more openly about their losses. also they can learn to grieve in a healthy way. it's so important to help these kids heal, even though it is only for a week.

I am crying so hard - half because I'm so proud of my son for the growth he experienced and the other half for everyone's losses. This was a beautiful film. Thank you for highlighting this incredible camp. I am sad that these kids have lost loved ones, but I'm grateful they have each other to lean on now.

I will actually be volunteering for these camps next year. I cannot wait! I lost my mother 4-years ago to cancer.

I watched a documentary in 2014 about Grief Camp on HBO I never forgot how intense, touching, and heartbreaking it was. Those kids and these kids are VERY brave facing their emotions and embracing the grief. These camps are such a incredible thing for children dealing with such loss. I hope they all find healing ❤

An incredible organization that does life changing work. This camp was an essential part of my son's grief journey after the death of his dad AND he had so much fun and got to just be a kid with all the camp activities. Thank you!

This is a great camp as long as religion is not part of the basis, nor pushed upon the children. We definitely need more places that children can feel safe talking about their emotions surrounding grief.

Hi I’m Jaylen, a kid in the vid lol. And religion is mentioned like at all, if I or my friend said it they sure ! But it wasn’t infringed or mentioned specifically by a counselor.

@@proxwilltickleurtoes That's good to hear, & exactly how it should be! I just know that there are various places that will have religion incorporated into their program, & though it may be ok to share what each others beliefs are, imposing is a whole nother thing.
So sorry for your losses, & thank you so much for your feedback! Healing blessings to you, & all the others! 🏵🤍🏵

No religion imposed on these kids at all. My son attended three years in a row as a camper and two years as a volunteer counselor. Life changing for him. Essential in learning how to accept his grief and feel so much less alone.
