My father was a Royal Canadian Cameron Highlander that landed at Normandy. Made it to Berlin and survived the war...he passed in '81 and I was a pallbearer at the funeral. What I didn't see at the graveside was the piper coming up behind me as I stood at the casket. He played Amazing Grace and I fell to pieces right there crying like a newborn. I still cry everytime I hear a piper playing it. RIP Dad.

Há minha istoria e tão simples ; ne epoca ei tinha oito anos de idade é ,e verdadeira eu conheci um um casal de holandes que todas vez que eles brigavam entreci A esposa dele pegava Ha gaita de folen e começava Ha´tocala eu estava brincando de fronte a casa deles é pare i de brincar para eu escutar HA escutar aquele estrumento diferente é fiquei nsentado no portão da casa deles ela bercebeu e me perguntou se eu estava gostando ai eu perguntou que estrumento que era aquele ,ela e respondeu que era um a gaita de folen .NO DIA SEGUINTE ELA ME VIU É ME FEZ uma pergunta se eu queria aprender a tocar eu respondi para ela que eu queria aprender porque eu ja participava de uma banda eu tocava plato no grupo escolar jaques felis, DAI elea me dice que era muito bom ,dai ela começu há ME ENCINAR há manosear ho estrumento musical e comecei á prender a tocar isto foi otimo fiquei bastante contente e contei para minha mãe ficou contente desaber no dia seguinte eu voltei na casa dela para contnuar aprendendo atocar e HÓ marido de a ajudava que ele tamabem tocava junto comigo eles eram fabulosos com ho estrumento eu estava gostando muito e aprendendo com eles EU gostava muito deles iste aprendizado durou um ano ;QUANDO SERTO DIA EU FUI NA CASA DELES E encontrei os dois brigando ela dice para ho marido dela que ;queria voltar para há escocia pois ela estva com saudades dos parentes dela e tabem da mãe dela e do pai dela . HÁ briga foi feia meu que augava á casa para eles sair do armazen dele saiu correbdo para apartar a briga deles dai ho meu avo perguntou HÓ que estava acontecendo dai esposa dele dice que setava cm saudade da familha dela HÓ meu avo que iria ajudar eles voltarem para há ESCOCIA Hó MEU VIAJOU são paulo na epoca foi ate hó consulado com eles para revalidar hó passaporte depois eles voltaran para taubaté já estava com há viagem marcada para semana seguinte dai há minha avó é isto que voce is querem ai há esposa dele respondeu que sim ela perguntou de mim para há minha avó que eu estava na escola quando eu cheguei na minha casa esta sr eu não sabia falar ho nome dela estava lá para despedir de mim so dice que eu nunca parace de aorender á tocar e ate hoje eu não sei ho nome dela ,infeliz mente eu dice a ela que eu nunca iria parar de tocar isto ate os dias de hoje tenho saudade de quando eu tocava na fonfarra do idesa eram 140 integrantes da banda todo uninfome identico com HÁ GUARDA DA RAINHA ELIZABETE11 ATE HOJE eu estou querendo montar um fonfarra infanto juvenil estou tentando arrumar esta escola há não e por causa da covd19 pocivel mas asi que surgi esta oportunidade eu asim que tudo melhorar dai ninguem mesegura vou encrementar tudo ho musica em estrumento de sopro sem recurso trompa em fá corneta em síbmol e mibmol e outros estrumento de sopro da mesma especie de estrumento HOJE ENDIA EU TENHO 72 ANOS DE VIDA É QUERO VIVER MAIS CENTO E CIQUENTA ANO ESTA É HA MINHA INTENÇÃO EU TAMBEM ASSISTO OS VIDIOS DA MEU FARFAN NO TH-cam HO TATOO PELA INTERNETE MEU NOME É BENEDITO CARLOS GAMA NACIDO NO DIA 22-01-1948 ESTA É HÁ MINHA HISTORIA PRIQUANTO UM GRANDE ABRAÇO PARA QUE EU NÃO CONHEÇO PAZ E ALEGRIA ATODOS

He was sent to Germany after the war and spent a year there dismantling our planes and bringing home the parts. He passed in "06 and we got a color guard but never thought to get a piper. My niece had been in Iraq and had some connections. At that time so many were dying that there weren't enough to go around. They handed me the flag as I was his oldest child. I was a total wreck for months.
