My sister went to a music store and asked if they had a recording of it (this was before the internet and illegal downloading) and she was told they didn't have one and she explained why she needed it. The store owner said he would get her one and have the equipment for the graveside service. When we got to the cemetery, there was nothing set up or anyone around. Then we noticed a van was in the procession that I didn't recognize. While the minister was speaking the trio got out in full regalia and started playing. It was the most beautiful song ever. When they were finished they got in the van and left. The store owner still denies ever knowing how that happened. We never did find out who they were.

Was in a pub in Sydney almost 50 years ago and the place was crowded mainly with a lot of bikies. The juke box was blaring forth with rock and roll songs. I saw Amazing Grace on it so put in my coin and pressed the button. My mates said I should run for the door. When the song began there were a few startled comments asking who put it on. I am from rural kentucky and i am an older Irishman. 95% of the people here in this 10-12 county region are Irish, Scottish, or Scotch-Irish mix, and i must say i am in awe of this performance, one of my favorite songs ever, and words cannot describe the God given talent on stage here. Amazing Grace was played on the bagpipes at my grandpa’s funeral. Hearing this version of Amazing Grace makes me tear up every time I watch it.

This was played in my husband's funeral with the 21 gun salute in 2016, even today tears still flow.
My Father passed away in 1999 but as a child in the '50s he introduced me the the Black Watch. This is as a tribute to his memory for me. There is NOTHING like the bagpipes in all of the human musial experience. Thanks Andre.

I am from rural kentucky and i am an older Irishman. 95% of the people here in this 10-12 county region are Irish, Scottish, or Scotch-Irish mix, and i must say i am in awe of this performance, one of my favorite songs ever, and words cannot describe the God given talent on stage here. I imagine this it what the song Amazing Grace sounds like when played in heaven.
