You actually don't need to connect through bluetooth first to make the Android Auto connection since you're using a hard wire no matter what. But thanks for the instructions!
Hey, What can I do if I have a CTS from 2016 that unfortunately doesn't have Android Auto? I've already seen these boxes for $500, are they the only options?
Very nice instructions.. I just got a new phone and I cant get it to work... keeps saying connect a phone with android auto installed... it is installed I even tried uninstall and reinstall... not working. If you can help I would be grateful!!
Android Auto offers a more familiar interface so you can use apps that you're used to using on your phone (Spotify, Waze, Podcasts...)! Also, you can make calls and send texts using voice command features without the need to pick up your phone and take your eyes off of the road.

I have a 2016 escalade platinum, and i am trying to turn on android auto, but it just keeps trying to access files on my phone. It wont start android auto. I have a galaxy s7. Is this not an accepted phone?
@@muntherdahy5771 you can do 1 of 3 things 1. Buy an aftermarket headunit 2. buy a "navtool" www.navtool.com/cadillac.aspx 3. upgrade your factory system with a Cue 2.5 module like I just did in my 2014 cts www.gmpartshouse.com/p-cadillac-cue-25-upgrade-apple-android-nav-cue1316up

You don't need to do the BlueTooth thingy. Just hook a cable and off you go.
