Why should I believe that when your own method isn’t even working on YOU, you silly meathead?
You feel good because you're eating your own body fat and cells, it gives a euphoric and high feeling. Vegans tend to quit when the body starts eating the organs. It was one woman who's gotten to her brain and she fed her baby weeds from the backyard in the form of a smoothie.
Yeah but you were never in hers shoes. You saw him attack others, not you. BTW, i like much more how he is aproaching it now, before he was violent, im happy for him
She's a good example of someone that uses words without any understanding of what they mean, making them just empty words when they come out of her mouth.
Thank you Joey, I changed due to your videos. I come from a Muslim background that uses the “halal” work around to justify the killing. I am now considered extreme but more at peace with myself
I became vegan because of your content Joey... mostly by watching the way animals are treated in factory farms, how these animals are innocent and educating myself about the processes in animal agriculture. And of course, realising that being vegan is healthy, sustainable, delicious and easy.
Vegan daughter of a dad who raises grass fed beef cattle. These animals aren't treated any different than factory-farmed cattle. They are taken to feedlots and slaughtered the same way factory-farmed cattle are slaughtered. The bull calves are castrated the same way. They suffer when they are weaned. Romanticize grass fed beef cattle if you must. But they aren't treated like pets, and they die the same way factory farmed beef cattle do.

My sister went vegan because of your words : "I don't think that a cow deserves that we take her baby away just so we can eat cheese." She get that instantly and became vegan
Her brain is full of animal hormones which are making her act that way. I hope one day science and human psychology will do studies on how the brain works in relation to eating meat (red meat especially)
11:58 I remember when I thought the same. "To eat a cow but not a dog/cat is hypocritical, therefore I should be okay with eating a dog/cat". Then I realized how *fucking psychopatic* that line of thinking is. Became a vegan maybe 1 month later.

well I don't think that it can be summed up or reduced as such so easily. for better or for worse the human animal mind has certain mechanisms that need to be tackled within the conversation of veganism ....things like bais, compartmentalization, cognitive dissonance, etc. all of which contribute to strongly held beliefs, culture and traditions that define communities to whole societal structures.
Nope they do reduce it, stopping entirely isn’t possible. Animals get killed in the harvesting of plant products and get killed to protect crops etc by paying for plant foods or products you’re creating a supply and demand, farmers wouldn’t be harvesting or protecting crops from animals if you didn’t pay them etc. you also will kill bugs if you drive a car, you will also accidentally step on ants. reducing the amount is the only possibility entirely eliminating it isn’t possible.
@@lxnkzi1266 plant based lifestyle is by far the most ethical we have at the moment (obviously I’m aware small animals & bugs die during farming crops for humans and many more die for the animals you eat). Interestingly, she mentions that "it's YOUR job to convince ME to become vegan." Yet here is Joey explaining every viable reason why, and she still says that she won't stop, but only reduce. :/ More proof that meat is valued for nothing more than taste and texture, and less for nutrition.
There is no data in existance that states meat isnt nutritious nor is there any data that states humans must not eat meat. Unless you get your data from cancel culture parasites like peta and the simps who hang off ever word. Youre a gamer. Stick to what you know. Health and nutrition isnt it.
The moment she tried to put the blame on you was the moment she realised she had lost the argument. There was nowhere else for her to go so she made it your fault. 😄
It's because of your hard hitting approach to share the disgusting truth of the industry as well as Ed's way of shedding light that made me vegan. Count me towards your followers
Exactly the same for me. It was the no nonsense approach that got my attention, listening to logic and reason and people like Joey who don't shy away from the facts. People who try to police Joey's tone are just deflecting, they cant argue against the facts so they complain about his tone instead. And when they say his approach doesn't work, well that is demonstrably false. There has been some research (see Sam Harris) that shows that being exposed to facts that conflict with your world view can induce strong feelings similar to disgust, which explains why people find it so difficult to change their mind even in the face of pretty straightforward facts.
@@kasroa Sam Harris is a very poor example - he's a vivisectionist. If you don't know what that is, it's someone who tortures and kills animals in laboratories to get a degree in "neuroscience."

How could he not be impatient.
I stopped eating meat in 1991, but didn't know about the egg and dairy industries until 3 years ago. I watched Gary's Best Speech Ever and Dominion, and I went vegan on the spot. As most vegans, my biggest regret is not knowing sooner.
Your "extreme approach" made me go vegan two and a half years ago. 🌱 And I wish that someone had told me the truth about the consequences of my actions earlier. She, on the other hand, wishes that vegans never say what's really going on. I think these are the type of people we will never convince, because they simply don't care about animals.

Some meat eaters say some stupid shit 🤦🏻♂️ stop tip toeing around and just say you’re selfish and don’t care, own in. She keeps saying vegans shout but I hope she looks back at how she behaved during this.
Joey, I became vegan 3 years ago and it has been, by far, the best conscious choice of my life. It's thanks to people like you and Ed that I managed to open my eyes at such a young age (I was 19). Since I've done a lot of inner work on myself, I can tell how unconscious and uncomfortable she feels with herself, because I used to do and say the same exact things. Deep inside she knows that what she says doesn't make any logical sense, but she is resisting it soooo badly, she doesn't want to listen to it, therefore she starts acting like a spoiled child that wants to take revenge on someone, trying to make you feel like you are in the wrong position. She is scared of the truth, and she keeps going in circles trying to jump from an argument to another to cover herself and find an excuse. I profoundly admire how devoted you are, your passion and drive for what you're doing, and how brilliantly you recognize patterns, trying to bring her back to the topic. There is something that I've learned by analizing and studying history, and I don't think that most people realize it: in order to bring change to society, we need people who are willing to risk their lives (that got murdered, burnt and tortured for example - which still happens nowadays - because they went against the "common belief") and reputation, that are not afraid to step up and let others hear their voice, challenging the ordinary. Someday, one of my goals is to be part of such an awesome team by helping spread true information and BE THE CHANGE BY ACTING. That's what I've discovered to be my life purpose, and I would have never been able to realize this if not for you, I was about to head towards a completely different direction that didn't resonate with me at all. So thank you Joey, for triggering something inside of me and making me kick my own ass, only true courageous people are ready to do such work. You are such an amazing and inspiring soul, we keep supporting you. Sending lots of love and kindness ❤️
Veganism has changed my life as well but not for the better. My wife and I have two fifteen year old boys. I am self employed in the hunting and sport fishing industry. And I figured that it was time for them to start working. Well their science teacher is a vegan activist. She debated and shamed them right in front of the whole class. She uses her classroom for spreading her beliefs. My boys did become vegan and so did my wife. She quit working for me and started working in a office. She started an affair with a vegan there. The boys went with her I am thankful for prenuptial agreements since started an affair with someone else she gets nothing but child support. All this got going when our boys ask me how could I live with ourselves knowing that everything we have is paid for with the blood of innocent animals? They did have a good point. I mean they have cell phones,. Computers in their room,. Tvs, Xboxes,. So I realized that so I took away every luxury item that they had. My boys now are cut out of my will since they don't want anything to do with me until I turn vegan. Plus no self respecting vegan would take assets from such an industry
You did not convince me to go vegan, I've gotta give that credit to Earthling Ed. You did however solidify my stance in veganism, and help me get into the mindset needed to never even consider going back, and for that I'm very grateful. Thank you for all of the hard work you do.
@@Iwanttoblowmybrainsoutrn Well yeah, because it’s unethical, obviously. You’re slitting a sentient beings throat against its will. Would you not get pressed if someone else abused a child? You probably would, because it’s unethical.
I guess empathy can't be taught. For some people, only if they are in the actual situation maybe they will realize what others are going through. Even then, they may never get it.
Influenced me, I was looking to counter the vegan argument a few years ago and it quickly dawned on me that you cannot agree with facts and logic. Keep going Joey 👍, you change my mind.
As Hench Herbivore once said; "Turn yourself vegan first, then tell us how to turn others vegan". If someone is not vegan, then they're not part of this justice movement, so why is it of concern to them how effective our method of advocacy is? Doesn't really add up.
Three years ago I did the research and decided that on paper going vegan was the only ethical thing to do. Two years ago, it took people like Joey to kick me up the ass and provide the impetus to change - I became vegan overnight. The ‘process’ is just more excuses and kicking the can down the road. Anyone who actually cares about animals wouldn’t even consider merely reducing their meat intake - they would just stop.
She seems more extreme to me because she is fighting against the peaceful approach and for the continued suffering and killing of animals. She wanted to hear the message that reducing her meat intake is good enough, but the truth is that any amount of unnecessary violence towards animals in not okay.
I absolutely admire the way you don't back down at all from anyone. Be it police, people dropping dead fish corpses on your table, the dude in this video trying to ask about your prison past (what an asshole) and you not even being slightly intimidated whatsoever. If anything, I think your past has gotten you thicker skin and I love that you turned it around and used it to save animals. But that is just what I can see. Being confident, but also patient, and staying like that is one of the hardest things for me as an activist and I wish I was more like you. The animals appreciate what you do.
Thank you so much for your work! Your channel gives me hope, comfort and the tools to debate when the subject comes up, even though I’ll never have your patience 😊🤗
She contradicted herself so much that it actually made my head hurt. Very ignorant person, I would not have talked to her for that long. What you said towards the end, was true in every word, Joey. And yes you've made thousands of people go vegan. People that are actually willing to listen and to question themselfes and their actions and who are not stubborn to change.
Exactly, she started to switch off the moment her consciousness started to knock on her heart's door... Scared to see the reality, to see the true problem of her choices... It's not the extreme vegans, it's her own fear... In her heart she knows all the answers to every question you asked, she is just scared to be honest with herself, scared of change ...

People who care about animals don’t “reduce” the amount they hurt animals. They stop entirely.

well I don't think that it can be summed up or reduced as such so easily. for better or for worse the human animal mind has certain mechanisms that need to be tackled within the conversation of veganism ....things like bais, compartmentalization, cognitive dissonance, etc. all of which contribute to strongly held beliefs, culture and traditions that define communities to whole societal structures.
Mate, you're brilliant
Nope they do reduce it, stopping entirely isn’t possible. Animals get killed in the harvesting of plant products and get killed to protect crops etc by paying for plant foods or products you’re creating a supply and demand, farmers wouldn’t be harvesting or protecting crops from animals if you didn’t pay them etc. you also will kill bugs if you drive a car, you will also accidentally step on ants. reducing the amount is the only possibility entirely eliminating it isn’t possible.
