the usual essay-style content is on the docket for this weekend/next week. so much to dive into in terms of impressions and thoughts. Wilds isn’t perfect, but damn is it really pushing the right buttons. If Capcom gets the PC version right then hoooo it’s gonna be a good weekend 👏🏼
Rey Dau got absolute destroyed! I thought I would be disappointed with hammer without the clutch claw but this is going to be so amazing with the side steps while charging! Love it!
I wish that the second charge level attack was an offset attack as well. It would be easier to perform but I can understand why they didn’t want too as hammer literally has an infinite attack combo which is insane.

@@DN-sl9qb Yuuuup you can hold the golf swing to try and time an offset. Rey Dau has great telegraphs while still being challenging enough, perfect for offset practice lol
@@ORLY911 hammer’s offset is the golf swing (upswing technically). You have to time the golf swing to connect with a monsters attack. In my experience the timing is tight but has a lot of active frames so being slightly early still seems to work. If it connects then the monster will be sent reeling (bunch of sparks) and each weapon that can offset has a combo/move to use right after. Sometimes the offset will still let you hyper armor through attacks even if it didn’t quite connect properly. It’s fun and quite strong!
@@mike35424 golf swing is way more prevalent in Wilds than it has been in World/Rise. It definitely takes more setup than the GS or SA offset, but you’ll be doing the pound -> golf swing combo often.
