Even though JJK had a well animated anime adaption Im surprised this mediocre manga sold over 100 million copies. More than HxH (84m), FMA (80m), Berserk (60m), Nana (50m), and YYH (50m). Uhh, no disrespect to Gege but they definitely got lucky anime and manga became super popular in the last 5 years.

The entire anime/manga industry essentially astroturfed the story, THAT is the actual main reason for this. Remember how half the awards of "best xyz" of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards (or at least I believe it were the Crunchyroll ones...) only went to JJK? Defnitely not rigged. Don't question it! Nothing to see here...

This is why I will never greet the "it sold amazing" argument too seriously. Because in essence, what sells the manga is the marketting machine from the publisher, not the quality work from the mangaka. Non official online hypemongers add to the glazing, also, something the pre-digital age manga didn't benefit from. And bored cons00mers with very low standards, easily starved for fire and forget adventures, are going to riot the library shelves anyway. Not to forget, there are more practical ways to consume manga, like official publisher apps, which can draw in even the laziest fringe of readers. Record sales is then a not so impressive feat in my eyes.
I have more respect for works conquering the hearts of a demanding niche of readers, personally.

5:40 Reversed cursed technique was established very early in season 1 when Sukuna resurrected Yuji. It was explained it's an advanced technique that not many have been able to master.

Always puzzled me when JJK got popular for being the standard of Shounen women actually mattering in a story when Black Clover/Demon Slayer was already doing this during said time and other shounens prior having a good female cast.
    That's how puzzling it was.

Female casts in Jujutsu Kaishit are the same as their male characters for it being generic and do fights after fights because physically strong women equals “great character” to them, ignore depth as long as you can fight you’re good.

The Junpei shit really pissed me off.
Could’ve had a really neat arc about rebuilding his self confidence and developing as a sorcerer.

Fleshing out characters? Buildup? execution? Are you out of your fucking mind? You know Gege can't do that but hey, there's an infodump on a fucking Grasshopper.
Nanami really did carry this shit manga.

Junpei character was more like a bad copy of Nina of FMA, in the sense of being a minor character who is present in a short time in the story but leaves an emotional impact in the protagonist until the end, of course JJK is nonwhere close to FMA in writing quality so that fails

The best part of watching this arc was seeing the flame wars about feminism written in broken English in the comments (the site has since had its domain seized).

5:42 What creates the hollow technique purple which was used during the Goodwill Event competition too are extended technique from Red (divergence) and Blue (convergence) based on limitless (inherited technique), which was not hard to understand. What Gojo used to "escape death" was cursed technique reversal by converting all negative curse energy in to positive which saved his life (its how people can heal in this setting) and its not something anyone could do since its rare while being risky (strips from defences) and gojo is one of the few if not only character that has so much control over his powers. If Toji had decapitated his head he would have stayed dead and prevented Gary Gojo from coming back to life, but this is anime (not just shonen even seinen anime too) so Toji didn't expect him to survive fatal wounds like his throat getting stabbed, etc. Either you suck ass at reading manga or you are being bad faith on the matter, might aswell lie at this point.

Jujutsu kaisen volume 0 showed geto's death though
    Yes it's canon
The manga even brings up volumen0 in volume extras
    Also kenjaku isn't a monster
He's a sorcerer that has been shoving his brain inside others for years

Snob, which would you say is better, literary or genre fiction?
I get you like plot so I’m guessing you’re a genre guy? You didn’t care for Catcher in the Rye after all. I mean LOGH is literary science fiction so as long as it has some kind of plot then it’s good?

The fact Gojo used it in the past made perfect sense

8:16 Yow wasn't expecting a Shotout lol I think ya took me way out of context here, in my coment my original complain wasnt that you gave up to the brainrot or "don't ask questions just consume product" I recomended you went trough the manga with a clean view as other people did cause it would paint a better picture of how this manga execution went downhill. Your response was "It's an analysis of the manga as a whole so I obviously take punches at what happens later." and that was my main complain, why focus into analyzing the whole thing when ya go from one volume to others?
Is like doing the review of a videogame and complaining about how bad the final boss is in the first 2 minutes of the video when we haven't got to the final level yet.
I agree with a lot of your points like Nobara-What happened to Mechamaru or Gojo becoming the walking nuke that stops the plot as soon as he shows up, and the power sistem being an isore; I am happy you took my comment into mind since I saw this one more focused than your previous video so keep it up with the good work lad

  • @VideosJuandieguinchi
    @VideosJuandieguinchi 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

I seriously don't know why some people like Nobara. I thought she was obnoxious from the very start and didn't contribute anything to the story. The feminism bullshit made me cringe when I first watched it, and surprise! The moment Nobara dies, the feminists go and flame JJK saying its misogynist.
Also, finally someone who tells the truth on the power system not making any sense. Gojo's power is convoluted as fuck, Reverse Cursed Technique does NOT make sense (you jabbed at autists in the video but not even my sperg brain could understand this rubbish), Binding Vows don't make sense, even the way people get cursed techniques does not make sense. Curses are supposed to be manifestations of negative emotions, so where do the techniques come from? Do people get cursed and that's how they get the powers (Just like with Yuta) ?
I only really enjoy JJK for the fights, as well as Gojo and Sukuna, and maybe the main character who's name I cannot remember, because otherwise this manga is generic trash.

Did you read the manga ? The cursed technique are litteraly in the body.' and has a link with the brain. Jjk is really overatted but many times people just don't read the manga to complain about everything

The only part I end up liking of this trashfire is when they were making digimon references...
Another thing that also surprise me was in the Nobara fake dead scene, Gege fuck up her flashback, how in f you manage to fuck up a KnY style flashback is beyond me...
What is problem with the flashback you might ask, simple: is that is told from the perspective of character that had nothing to do with anything in the arc, boy I don't even remember it being introduce previously in the manga...
