Yes, finally. I agree with the notion of Stheno being a very niche servant; however, that niche is wonderful when you are facing a certain knight of the Round Table.

I've seen people run a double Stheno & Euryale team, for complete stunlock and NP denial. But that involves maxing some of her skills for a meme team.
Also only actually works on males with low or no debuff resistance.

I swear each time i get Death from Gae Bolg or Gae Bolg Alternative on a Servant, i feel like i won the lottery, but then proceed to curse it cause it makes me feel like all my luck was wasted there rather than where it counts, with the Gacha Hell.
Assassin Shiki and Saber Shiki both have mystic eye skills, which lower death resist. CA Hassan, and Assassin Shiki both have a bond CE which increase death procs.
I got a Gaw Bolg kill on MHZ, when fighting her at the end of saber wars. it blew my mind.
It's worth noting, that even with all these effects stacked, death effects are not a reliable tool.
yup i know that, i saw some post somewhere bout the calculations, just seems like the Devs purposefully made the mechanic a "for shits and giggles" system so that people couldn't farm efficiently, which i guess makes sense but dam, even with the best setup you have what? a 30%-40% chance to inflict death (on servants) after all calculations smash together? or was it lower? i forget.
Ok, I seriously think Stheno gets a bad rep. Sure, she's not OP and only fits certain teams, but she fits those teams really well: She has a 60% Attack Up for the entire team once you factor in her NP, which you definitely should do since it's spammable as fuck. In fact, if you get a lucky crit she can easily stack two NPs _and_ her Divine Whim on an enemy, effectively giving her entire team 80% Attack Up against that enemy. Situational, sure, but still pretty strong and as high as an _NP5 Waver._ Apart from that, she is absolutely required if you want to go for stun-locking shenanigans, has a somewhat reliable NP drain and can function as a half-decent star generator.
I'll freely admit that she could be a lot better: Giving her 3 hit quick cards, making her NP quick, removing the gender restrictions on her NP etc would go a long way, but she's nowhere near as useless as most people make her out to be. By the way, the gender restriction on her NP is bullshit; she uses her charm on the MC during both of her interludes, regardless of their gender.
-And no, I'm definitely not biased because she was my first SR outside of the starter, and saved my ass multiple times during Orleans and the Moon Goddess event!-
If they gave her an upgraded charm that worked on all enemies, like Shuten and Tamamo Lancer have, then yea she would probably be a top tier servant, and she hasn't gotten an interlude for her NP yet so if she ever does it would great if they added that
Honestly, I think Stheno's greatest failure isn't her mechanics (those are easily fixed with future interludes and rank-up quests) but the fact that she failed to charm the player base (IRONY!).
Like, there's some mechanically meh or terrible servants that people still love. Saber Lily for example. Her numbers absolutely suck but people love her regardless. We all have her NP5'd because she's a welfare but I bet it never crossed anyone's mind to turn her into 5 rare prisms.
And then there's Shuten Douji who walks into Stheno's niche, drinks all the wine and eats all the food. There were people who had no intention of rolling for Shuten...then they heard her voice and players were literally charmed into rolling on her banner. It's really not fair to compare a limited 5* with a relatively easy to get 4* but the gap is so big that it bears mentioning.
On the other hand: the Euryale/Stheno/Support Euryale comp is so ridiculously strong against challenging quests with male bosses that it's basically worth level Stheno solely for that purpose. Not only are they permanently charmlocked, Stheno's support makes the double Euryales into guided missiles of doom. That boss better have Raid level health pool or else he's toast.

even giving her np a damage multiplier of a normal AOE np would make her really insane imo, she has the only double buff type charisma that also targets the user themselves and insane np gain rate, if only DW would buff her someday.
Yeah, Stheno's NP is one of those WTF were DW thinking even when it first came out. Why they didn't just copy Euryale's NP format with a flat ST NP damage multiplier unaffected by NP leveling and have the death chance remain as what gets leveled up. It would make her and her twin the complete nightmare of all Male bosses and even allow her to deal good damage to a none male enemy. Stheno is just so close to being really really good, but DW keeps delaying her much needed NP upgrade.
I think at most giving damage on her NP might be hard to balance due to its spammability (She could spam it more than Archer artoria and Rider Mordred) I think possibly increasing the chances of debuffs would be a decent buff like a garunteed charm on her NP when she needs it would be absolutely insane, or tagging on more debuffs to her NP could also make it pretty powerful as well
She could not spam her NP because its buster. Basically what I'm saying is that she should be just like Carmilla but targets males and have a lower damage multiplier since she already debuffs with her np
@@PlushieMistress Uh she can even if she just uses quick cards she gets roughly 50-70% np gain depending on your crafting essences not to mention there is that one servant with a buff for increased np gain on quick cards (Forgot their name but I saw it in a build video) she basically nps every time she gets a brave chain
Np Q Q does NOT gain 70% lol unless you count crits, and if thats the case a np spam that requires another servant AND crits on both cards is not OP. Her np gain and hit count is basically identical to Carmilla and Carmilla cannot consistently spam her np
Also, the other joke is: She's an Assassin with a skill charm and a NP against males, when most of the Rider Servants are female...

Have her at NP3, at the rate I'm going I'll have her at NP 5 faster than any other gold servant. wish her NP was better but she's cute and has an amusing personality and at end of the day that's all that matters.

I love Marie as well, one of my favorite servants, have her at NP2 would love to NP5 her. I know that I will definitely try and get Caster Marie when the summer events come to NA.

You forgot one more thing: running a team with both her and Euryale. Since they look almost the same you have to be careful what cards you pick, especially after sleepless night of farming/gaming.

my theory is She is suppose to be a "support" Assassin since now she can chain her phantasm with her allies who are buster phantasms since most of the servants you want to support have buster and she can basically stun and stall for days against the right enemies
she is indeed supposed to be kinda like an anti-male ofensive support assasin. high star gen, big atk boost for a considerable variety of servants on short cooldown, double charms, a battery with enemy NP drain, and her NP is now able to remove enemy buffs after her STR quest on 3rd anniversary.
unfortunately, she suffer from beong a launch servant, and we all know how dar this game was on its old days, they didnt knew how to scale overpowered and underpowered servants properly, so they are all either very strong till this day with no or at most 1 STR quest (like herc, cú, gil, euryale, hans, salter, caesar, ushi) or extremely weak compared to everyone else in their class/niche, and sometimes borderline useless even till this day (both gilles, benkei, boudica, and stheno of course), the list of bad launch servants used to be bigger, but some of them were graced with STRs (not counting 3rd skill unlocks), like emiya, siegfried, liz, tama cat, atalanta (i know there are many post launch that suffered similar situations even till now, but im putting aside here) but even some of the still claimed useless servants got buffs, like stheno, its still not enough, they are still heavily outclassed.
honestly, i think people shit on stheno too much, they may be just salty for her to spook them while rolling for jack, gramps or even shutten (and maybe cleo, but only men of culture rolled for her) sure she can be underwhelming, but i was able to make her work as a buffer for my divine units (like soberoni said, most divine servants have high atk, and the higher the atk, the more significant the atk buffs) and she can generate a rather decent amount of stars, and if the enemy is male, she can lock them or you can make a team around charm locking.
i honestly think its quite fun to make some comps around stheno, people need to shit on her less

I.... maxed Stheno on NA :| and I have the materials around to max out her charisma soon as that comes out. My support list is nothing but Divine Servants, she fits the theme to perfectly ._. [well Divine Servants and Jeanne/Amakusa.]

Stheno was my first SR servant. Once her rank-up quest is out, she'll a great Divine servant support! Of course, charm/stunlocking male servants is one of her best Niche alongside Euryale ♥

yea, stheno is a super bad servant pre strengthening quest, i quickly abandoned her when we got the free SR ticket and i immediately switched to heracles, but there's no denying that she's still a qt
After seeing that there's a strength quest for her in the future, my hope for stheno reignited, and i pray that day comes so that my first SR can shine again, even if it's just for a small while

i got him on both my NA and JP accounts recently and this is honestly the worst spook i have ever had
Stheno is my first SR Assassin, along with the low rarity servants. Now that I have a lot of Assassins (1 SSR, 6SR), I use her against males either with Euryale, Medusa and Gorgon or Tamamo and Waver for stalling or Jeanne and Mashu also for stalling.
She needs new animations, stop firing orbs already, its have been years.

I can't really argue since Stheno was the first 4* to ever notice me when I first started playing and didn't know a thing about team comp or usefulness. Truth be told she actually carried me in my earlier Master days.
I raised her up to her final art and skills at rank 7 each, waiting on Camelot where I do plan to use her. I'm still waiting on her sq where she actually gains some utility, and hope against hope she may one day get a rework. Curiously, she's never spooked me in gacha, that honor belongs to Elizabeth.

I think if her noble phantasm was a beam that was able to damage enemies, then it wouldn't be as bad along with being an art card

Man, I love your videos. Super detailed and to the point. I really really appreciate the time and effort you put into these. They've been very useful for a beginner like me. I do love stheno, simply because her voice soothes me kinda like asmr, but I agree. She is pretty useless outside of her niche. I do have a gilgamesh, but my stheno is level one right now. Do you think it would be worthwhile for me to level her up? I am already having a hard time leveling up hercules as well.
Aman Haridas If you are a beginner i'd say to put her on hold right now and use your materials to level up more general use servants, when you max then out you can start to level up the niche servants like Stheno.

She frustrates me because aside from her NP she's an amazing servant. Her passives, skills, and stats are all good. I just don't understand why they would mess up so badly with the NP. And she always, always spooks me when I don't want her lmao.
Hopefully they buff her in the future. If they can take Scheherazade and make her solid (seriously they brought her from garbage tier to solid), they can for sure save Stheno too.
Honestly, if her NP would just deal typical single target buster NP damage to anything it doesn't instant kill, she'd be pretty solid.
FINALLY!!!!! Someone Finally gives Stheno some praise for her Skill Set, use as a Crit Star Generator and Atk Buffer for Divine Servants, and how she can help stall out the enemy!!! I saw that potential and more in Stheno where others just choose to pick on her, which is completely unfair, so thank you so Very much, Sober Oni, for giving Stheno the Justice she deserves!! Also, that Jab at Fionn at the end made me happy; seriously he's EASILY the WORST 4 Star Servant in the game!! ^_^ Looking forward to your future videos, Sober Oni!!! ^_^

Euryale is my main servant as I center my account around her,so she is fantastic.
I did use the four star ticket for Stheno & from what people said I did not expect much but once I used her & figured out in what way to use her I was surprised how well she is for me,her damage output tends to be pretty good once you get the ball rollin,her buster card does way more damage then it should with no buffs which was a pleasant surprise.

Well am happy in having both Stheno and Siegfried specially because of Camelot coming soon but your right as they are now is very difficult to include them in any team specially Stheno, because if it wasn't for the current event that actually rewards the player for using her she would be just waiting for Camelot if only her NP would be a quick type or if it also increases her crit damage and star generation it would be more tolerable since she can hit very hard and can do crits very often, but right now without her third skill she is just a very niche servant that is outclass by all the other anti male servants in the game.
I was saving up my saint quarts and randomly got a lucky feeling, so I went and did a single and I saw the gold flash only to be spooked by stheno god damnit.

Honestly she's so close to being good. If she could have provided a team evasion or something, she'd be perfect. She already provides 2 np delay skills, which can buy plenty of time to cycle through another defense skill, even for a 3 turn np gauge. Then she provides 20% atk buff on her skill and another 20% from her np, which is a solid damage buff, discounting the extra for divine servants. If her NP were quick based she could also continue quick chains for a quick team. She's also let down by laughable np gain and stargen for quick assassin. She's so close, but so far.
TheEmperorGulcasa If they gave her an Interlude that upgraded her Noble Phantasm (i.e. actually having it deal damage), she'd be good. It's an ST, so it'd likely do Significant damage. If not, Heavy is fine. Just make that shit deal damage.
They can upgrade her charm skill to be like Shuten's and charm anything, as well as being party-wide (in one of her Interludes, she charms skeletons and other undead and such).
Why is she let down by those when she has one of the best NP gain, along with a skill for np gain?
The thing she needs the most is changing of buster np to art or quick.
Best thing for her to be good which would never happen ever is give her weak aoe damage along with her charm and debuffs so she can be a budget shuten. But like I said thatll never happen.

I dunno, I kinda just quickly wrote up my impression, and I was comparing her to jack, who can basically loop her np with quick chains if she crits. Also even jacks star gen can feel shaky, when a bqq chain without cries only gets you around 20 stars and doesn't really guarantee crits next turn without the next person having a weight skill.

As of now best snek isn't very good but I think when her strength quest comes she'll be a decent support servant with her 3rd skill and she's a good stall servant when combined with Eurayle.
If you run Gil alot or any other divine servant that 3rd skill when maxed out gives u an additional 40% atk increase for 3 turns which is big.

She'll still sit in my Second Archive til I need a Rare Prism.
If DW cares about making her somewhat useable, they could do one of two things 1 either giver her 3 hits on quick cards to make her a strong 4* crit star generator with an anti male debuffing niche on her np or 2. just give her a aoe np that does some damage. There's like 3 aoe assasins in the game that i know of. Scathach assassin, shuten, and phantom. giving her an aoe np that does some damage without an insta kill effect would make her somewhat special in her class and useful without being gamebreaking considering while she has fantastic np gain she'll still suffer damage penalties for having an aoe np and assassin class modifier. Modify the charm chance to max out at 60-80% at overcharge 5 l and there she's useable and fairly balanced.
Fun trivia I found out using her, the America robots are male for some reason. I have found myself using her np in america for mob farming a lot actually, since most enemies there are male and are susseptible to instakill

Not as hard as Fionn lol, Stheno is pretty straightforward and at least she does what she was made to do very well. I'll be doing the Onigashima guide and servants next

So Jack and Shikibu shared rateup was live decided to do 1 multi and about 10 tickets i.e all my resources and lo and behold Np2 Nursery rhyme and Stheno...
I put her with Siegfried as my anti dragon party since most of them are riders, her NP is buster, and siegfried's NP is a buster too...
I pick Stheno in the free 4* servant in the current event cos of her 3rd skill... I just realize wow almost all of my servants are with divine trait.. so why not.. And I'm very fond of Assassin class..
Hmm, interesting, I'll need to get her third skill for Karna. And maybe use the plug suit to remove her after she uses it.
my first servant on america server.. i must say its hard to use her especially when i just begin the game, but when she instantly kill gilgamesh and other male boss enemy with one hit, i starting to respect her more
I did Camelot with Support carrying me in JP and from my experience it's better to bring Euryale or Artemis for Gaiwan and we'll Lancelot is a joke for me on NA due to Double Jalter and ofc the most OP servant that I got to bond level 7 (hope 10 come Babylon) - Angra Mainyu

I think this makes D'Eon the last of the 4* you can get in the initial roll to get a spotlight(It's wether that or I'm blind), which would be really cool as I don't really know what to do with that shemale.

I rather use Nero Bride if I want a 40% attack buff, and it isn't limited to divine servants. It even increases crit star gen by 50% so yeah.

I see your point but I think she might have been given a Buster NP to fit into teams with other buster NPs to chain them like herc and Gil, which goes with her attack buff and to help keep them alive with her stun and Def down but it's still situational

I Would Have either made her NP a Quick so you chain them with her other Quick moves or Apply a % Damage to target if Death failed.

camelot is the next singularity and notorious to have a hard boss servant battle the servant is Gawain one of the main knights of the round table and one of the strongest besides Saber Lancelot infact gawain is so strong its recommended you start RIGHT NOW to get an "Anti-Male" servant meaning one the two gorgon sisters (the archer one is best) to max ascend and NP5 i have the archer gorgon at a high level but i neglected her
Yes and no, the main reason people are saying Camelot is difficult is because it has quite a big difficulty spike with gimmicks which can destroy you if you were not prepared. While it is difficult it ain't that hard as long as you know the gimmick and Euryale/Orion will be your best friend in the singularity.

camelot is extremely overhyped, it's just a few knights with gimmicks that people say it's hard. In reality there are multiple ways of cheesing these bosses if you already know what their gimmick is and know what to borrow. There is also a playlist of someone with lvl 1 fodder + borrow friend servant to do these bosses.

If you can already do 3 bp rashoumon, I doubt you will have any real trouble with camelot, it's basically a borrow a friend's 10/10/10 class adv servant with some survival abilities and your done.
Honestly if you actually know what you are doing you can cheese almost every story content in the game outside of shimosa since you are locked into a musashi support and can't borrow anyone's servant for those fights and even then that's not really all that hard if you got your own maxed servants.
The hardest bosses in this game are usually at nerofest and I guess kiara if you do hard mode or didn't really clear out her buffs.
Is it possible for her to get a change to her noble phantasm or deck in the future or will she always stay like this?
Anything is possible, JP is experimenting with giving servants alternate costumes that change their skills so it's possible they could do that for Stheno, though unlikely anytime soon
