@@LucashtagMusic Very true. Had the same problem with my first Ibanez as well. That Multiscale looks pretty sweet love the chameleon color. I'm also a Fishman Fan. 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
@@CricketbugSessionsthe look is amazing on Ibanez basses but this monorail bridges aren't... I don't want more Ibanez in my studio, very disappointing but sound and wood are fantastic, but I don't to want to sound flat with the saddles screw forward to the neck with maximum adjustment ahah. Sorry for my english 🤣
I got into fretless because of Steve GiGorgio back in the 90s. It’s great to see him finally getting a signature bass. Ibanez seems to be the only big brand company that actually puts some thought into something other than just different headstocks on fender shaped basses.
Thanks for a catch up on all i missed! Only really saw the Ibanez stuff cause that's who I follow on socials. That Reverend bass has me reconsidering a possible future purchase though
The SRD 900F is an amazing bass to play acoustically you can really hear yourself and that extra extra octave and a half yeah amazing doesn't need to feel like it's that long I don't know how they did it but the design is ingenious
Awesome video, Patrick 😎🤘🏻🎸 I personally liked the Ibanez soundgear basses and the btb basses. I remember danelectro made some interesting basses. I also dig the l.e.h basses, Those basses from cream guitars(They look like a reverse explorer) sterling stingray basses, The darkglass bass combos, The schecter basses(especially since I’ve always liked their stiletto basses), The sire z basses look pretty unique(They look like a mix), and I’m really intrigued by the ebs black haze 2. Looking forward to that pedal’s release
I was also excited for the new Ibanez talman finishes, I’ll say it again but this is a body shape that makes me excited about Ibanez. I feel similarly about the Epiphone embassy.
Spector has brought out a bunch of Basses which look amazing including fan fretted ones, one I would love to try is the Dimension 4, and there's also a really whacky design by PureSlam which is their Creep bass, it looks so weird and crazy, and I love it!
I saw Johnny Dibbles video on the Ashdown Roasted Series Basses and I loved them. I got what I believe to be the last Ashdown Roasted I was able to find online, a Saint Soap in Onyx Green. I found in a Mom & Pop Shop in the UK. It was stuck in Customs for nearly a week, then, when it was released, the plane broke down! ARRG! It should be in soon. I'm really looking forward to giving it thorough shakedown. As for the Ibanez TMB400TA and 405TA, from everything I've seen and read, they have the same electronics as the TMB-100s, but with a beautiful finish. The Dynamix P & J pickups are fairly hot ceramic pickups. They aren't a vintage style like the looks of the bass, but rather modern sounding. Of course, with the new finishes, they do seem more appropriate. The tone and hardware quality of the preamp left a bit to be desired. I installed a set of vintage voiced pickups and an aftermarket two band preamp with blend control and it sounded much better for my playing style.
Hey, love your vids. What bass would you recomend for post punk new wave kinda stuff. Would like to use analog chorus effect. Rickenbacker for my ears has the best glassy sound but its too expensive.
Hey, the Ibanez with the holes, what a great idea. I hear myself plenty unpluged, when the home is quiet, This would add a thad just perfect. Will they make fretted basses with that feature?
I've tried the Gary Willis bass and they are truly amazing The easiest fretless bass I've ever played really the easiest bass I've ever played to play. And the tuning pegs are ingenious that he created on his own so you don't knock yourself out of tune when it's in a bag or something it's pretty awesome
I won't lie, I'm totally stoked about the Sire Z series basses due to the added neck pickup. I used to play a Music Man style bass for a long time and always missed having a neck pickup to add a bit more warmth/oomph without making the bass sound too boomy as maxing the bass EQ would. Z series basses with neck pickups are even going to be available in lefty, this is almost too good to be true!
I wish Ibanez would make passive-only basses. I could buy like a SR505E with the active/passive toggle, but I'd never toggle it on. I'd love a passive SR305.
I live in Canada 🇨🇦 and believe or not in Quebec were I live, it’s virtually impossible to have a Dingwall. You have to import it from the states 🇺🇸 and it cost a fortune. My friend went in Japan and told me in every music store, there’s a wall of Dingwall… so I’m a bit bummed , I wish I could have one, but there bussiness strategy is garbage. I could have a Canadian built custom, yeah for 6000$ and up . I think I will go with the Ibanez SD4 strings fishman chameleon that thing is sick. And cost less than 2 $$ Canadian.❤ great vid 👍🏻
A really good 5-string has a scale length of 35" at the MINIMUM for the B string to sound clear, and have the correct amount of sustain. A 32" scale just doesn't cut it.
I was really hoping to see more from Darkglass than just a combo amp. The brand has really lost momentum since Korg took ownership. They're still THE sound, but nothing released since the adam has been remotely exciting
Don’t get me wrong I love Ibanez basses they’re my favorite but they seem to be on a “here are those basses that no one asked for” kick. Multiscale short scale? Why? Multiscale but none of them are 37 inch again… why? It just seems odd to me. They are killing it with the BTB and fretless basses this year though!
Indonesian Silvertone single cut basses in 3 colors? Very cool, don’t like the price tag. Don’t own many Indonesian guitars, but a couple Jackson beaters for living room use. This could have gotten me more excited for some Indonesia made guitars but again the price tag isn’t great. Danelectro sells a similar single cut dolphin bass for $40 cheaper… made in Korea.
Sire really has completely invalidated Squier and even Mexican Fender for me. They make Boutique level quality basses at such low prices and their QC is always on point. I have the V9 Ash sort of black doghair finish jazz bass and that thing is still the best feeling "normal" bass I have played.
Unless you know someone who can finagle getting you a pass, the price for us common folk is OUTRAGEOUS. THAT'S why I won't go....can't afford it, and I think that NAMM does it on purpose.
It's a great time to be a bass player.
Couldn’t agree more!
You absolute hunk. Thanks for the shoutout pal! You’ll have to come back on the podcast soon please xo
Just say when, hermano!
Tom Segura's long-lost son
😂😂😂😂😂
WAY funnier tho …
And not a classist piece of shit@@adityanemlekar
Geez dude 😂😂
Appreciate the shoutout bud! You have to go next year to NAMM 2025!
You know it, man!
Really liking the new Ibanez Basses. Great Job Patrick! 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
Nice bass with misplaced bridge like my old BTB805MS... Impossible to get a decent intonation like many Ibanez owner 😔

Ibanez are the only ones making interesting fretless models and not just a fretless jazz bass variant
Missed that progressively "Tim Howard circa 2016" face of yours at the show this year, my guy!
Was hoping you’d bring up the dingwall SP-1. Soooo stoked to try one!!!!
DUDE FOR REAL!!!
February 2025 😭
Was hoping to swipe one on a trip later this year to avoid paying import taxes
Looking forward to Cort's upcoming bass releases. I manged to get one in my hands early and it sounds amazing.
There is news from Peavey. Ther have brought back the Peavey Cirrus Bass for 2024. There is a NAMM video about this.
Thanks for a catch up on all i missed! Only really saw the Ibanez stuff cause that's who I follow on socials. That Reverend bass has me reconsidering a possible future purchase though
Was hoping for a video like this from you!
I was watching a video from Peavey's booth, and to my surprise they appeared to have prototypes of a reissue Cirrus bass in the background.

Yes!!! Would love to see you do a review of the Reverend Decision Bass. Enjoy your channel.
Were you able to get your hands on the 37” BEAD Combustion? That was the most interesting bass for me of the day
the tech 21 products look really interesting i use the bass fly rig and love the stuf they make.

I picked up an older black GW on a deal a while ago. 1st fretless, 1st 5 string. I love it, but the new one looks awesome.
That Steve di Giorgio signature bass looks amazing 🤘🏽 2:11
Do you ever get out to the Dallas International Guitar festival? We should link up sometime!
The Sire Z7 in natural finish!!! got to get that

finally an import version of Super P !! I was hoping for a narrower string spacing, but 18mm will do..

11:07 tell me what you want, but thats basically a Joe Dart Signature Sterling...
Off topic: WHAT Toluca lake is a real place?! I had to search ot after Patrick said it. I thought that place was a Silent Hill invention lmao

Sire seems to built the next Stingray- Killer. Let's see whether the first detailed test reports reflect what you can expect from the brand.
Gotta give Reverend a try, some truly amazing basses. Would love to see your opinion on them.
I’ve always wanted to try a Reverend bass.
I love my Reverend Mercalli 4 one of the best basses i have ever played.
watching at 2:20, and Patrick Hunter is NOT beating the Green Bass Fan allegations

Yeah the Sterling Sterlings are already sold out according to the website. I have the American Version, It's RAD
All the Joe Dart fans bought them to remove the pickguard and rip out the tone pot 😉
Still available through ProAudioStar in New York!
Dude I got to play it at NAMM. the SP1.... holy crap it was sooooooo damn good. I told Sheldon I am definitely getting one.... or 2 lol
I can’t wait to have a Z7 the Z7 also has mids frequency 🤘 not sure why but doesn’t seem like the Z3 has that option
I really was wishing for a Sire U5 version 2 with a more comfortable body.
The best bass is that Sire Z7 5 string
I'm surprised Danelectro haven't released a Victoria De Angelis signature model.
REVERENDS ARE AMAZING!! TRY A MERCALLI 5 AND A DECISION P!!!!

Oh man, I was so done saying “jatoba”, “panga panga” and “roasted maple” after filming😂

I don’t look past the 80’s for Bass guitars the last great era of great instruments.
The Sterling by Sterling seems like a consolation prize put out by EB for those who couldn’t snag a Joe Dart lol. Still cool, but def odd.
1K likers 🤘🏻
The GB5 looks like Godin
Ibanez. The basses for extra fret buzzzzzz. I wouldn’t shovel my driveway with one
Those cream basses are hard to look at.
i cant stop buying ibanez basses... i prolly have to should search for help...
Sire killing it again! Can’t wait to try the Z series.
Love to see Ibanez making bold design decisions, but the SR and Talman body shapes never looked appealing to me.
Don't like Nordie pickups, especially the big singles. I'd like to hear a bass with the big singles WITHOUT A PREAMP, just passive.

"Only" $2K for an import DingDong bass. Seriously?? No thanks, I'll pass.
The Sterling is a massive disappointment. Give us color and give us the old design!
