I have a 2020 XC60 T6 R design with the air suspension and a couple of the option packs and can’t fault it. Fantastic car and great on a long trip. Plenty of power and rides fine. No issues and the quality is A1 with no issues as yet. Had Mercedes and BMW and Audis in the past and always had issues in the first year or two.
I've had my base XC60 D4 Momentum for 4 years and its the best car I've ever owned. It's a shame that Volvo aren't providing diesels anymore. The base model comes with full LED matrix style lights which have been faultless, and something I think is often overlooked. I agree with the rear-facing baby capsule dilemma, however our capsule did not appear as intrusive as the one on test. A great car, and we're planning on upgrading to the R-Design sometime this year.
I have a 2019 D4 Momentum and like Adam Small said, it's clearly the best car I've ever owned, including the last of the V8 Commodores, a Spec B Liberty Wagon, which are my other 2 favs over the years. The XC60 just does everything so well, including easily towing our 2100kg caravan whilst fully loaded with 2 tweener kids and boot full of camping gear. I would buy another if not going for a new van which will require a full sized 4WD or Dual Cab ute.
It's not an issue in the older one which still had digital control. Mine sits on 22 year round... unless my wife is driving. Clearly she does not understand how thermostats work, lol
Just test drove one today. Drives nicely, very comfortable, good tech however considering price and small boot don't think it's worth upgrading from Volkswagen alltrack wagon
Thank you SO much for adding the part about your height and the rear facing child seat in the back! I am curious if there is room for a rear facing child seat when the child is 3-4 years old? Of if it will have to be turned by then. I am on the shorter side (157 cm, about 5'2) and my partner is 178 cm).
Volvo Australia says they are legal for children to use in Australia - just make sure you read the information label to ensure your child meets the criteria. Cheers Matt
XC60 has always been a great vehicle. 19” wheels would be sufficient, and a much better / softer ride. It’s not a sports car. Boot space is decent, but not class leading. I’d love a back to back test against the V60 CC wagon. More cargo room in the wagon #makewagonsgreatagain
@@kuldipsingh366 The V60 CC wagon is not discontinued in Australia. FYI The V90 CC wagon ceased in Australia late 2020. No V90 CC wagon sales in Australia in 2021. I know they recently did a price increase in December/ January. I think when he made the video it was $83k (sounds about right) but they just increased the price of all cars recently
I'd love to do a used review on that car for you - I've always been a fan of the Touareg! But we focus on new cars in Australia here, so I won't be addressing that car, sadly. We have a number of reviews of the 2011 model, and you can see our coverage of the 2008 version here, too: www.carsguide.com.au/volkswagen/touareg/2011
Not all Volvos are made in China. Some, like my North American version, are made in Sweden. You can find where a specific Volvo was made by referencing the country code found in the V.I.N.
It's now using Android Automotive, so Android Auto is not going to be integrated into the new system . Apple Carplay may eventually return , but its unlikely. Diesel models locally are now only available in the previous variant and will remain on sale with the new model. The last diesels arrived here late in 2021. Volvo will cease diesel production globally within the next 6-12 months & those remaining oilers are solely reserved for Europe.
This should confuse the designers of the XC60! On the 2022, dust and mud creeps into the car through the rear doors and trunk slots. There were no such problems with the XC60 12 years ago. They would have to be put in a German car to learn what a driver assistant needs to know for a car. This car is not ready…
Not sure about that. Definitely agree there is always mud around the door jam areas of the rear doors but it is outside the seals. I totally agree it is annoying and I curse it every time I’m cleaning the car but I don’t believe it’s entering the cabin area per se.
90k for a SUV made in China I think the XC90 is still made in Sweden. They charge as if it were assembled in a western country I'm pretty sure the people in Shanghai China don't get paid western style pay and conditions
I guess Volvo wants customers to use Google (paid partnership), it would not have been that difficult to have the option of Apple Air Play. Very bad choice for Apple users, I am not one of them. 4 years paid subscription, nobody know how much it would cost after 4 years. I would hate to pay $90k for a car then pay subscription fee to make full use of infotainment system.
A lot of manufacturers are doing this As per the story, Apple Car Play and Android Auto will be available (shortly) via a software upgrade… Did u actually watch this review of the vehicle ?
Wrong Air suspension always gives a better ride then coil / fixed suspension. Various reviews on Volvo product, and similar vehicles always say this is the case.
It’s a old man’s car . It’s definitely not worth that kind of obscene price tag . It should be perfect and packed full of all safety features available and I can’t believe it doesn’t have apple wireless car play ! Seriously what were they thinking
DONT BUY A VOLVO XC60 my mother bought one less then a year ago and has been on a tow truck 6 seperate times and at the Volvo mechanics for more then half the time she has had it… $90,000 and it’s been nothing but a piece of junk… Volvo will not help her with a refund or replacing the car bunch of pricks..
Well you'd be doing them a disservice. They represent fantastic value and safety compared to rivals. Build quality is flawless in mine despite peoples misgivings on Chinese built products. Only proviso I'd make is you must buy the servicing pack or else the dealerships will rip you off. I use an independent Volvo specialist mechanic for 1/2 the cost of dealerships, as the service packs were not available when I purchased mine.

Do you have any problem with car or something you dont like it ?
Another honest review Matt, well done!

Why do you only show the high end Volvo?, what are the other XC60’s hybrids?
I would have preferred B5 in R Design body kit. I like the crystal gear shift in B5 but hate the back bumper on Inscription and Momentum.
The only thing that puts me off is the digital climate control. It would be much easier and quicker to control with physical knobs.
It's not an issue in the older one which still had digital control. Mine sits on 22 year round... unless my wife is driving. Clearly she does not understand how thermostats work, lol
You can use your voice to control and set the temperature, even better and safer on the road.
@@kuldipsingh366 yes that is true. But I have found that voice controls don't always work all the time.
Honestly set your temp and forget it.

Could you please do a similar review for the Recharge model?
As soon as we can access one, we'll try and do a review on it.

Are the inbuilt booster seats (06:12) at the back legal for children to use in NSW?

It looks better at the front, not sure about the back bumper, I prefer the real exhausts on the previous generation.
Awesome!
I was checking Volvo’s website and the MSRP for B6 is actually $90691.62 not $82490. Can someone please explain to me the difference here?
I know they recently did a price increase in December/ January. I think when he made the video it was $83k (sounds about right) but they just increased the price of all cars recently
Exterior design is very good. Only the back lamp design is not attractive at all.
Hi my man.
Can you do a review on volkswagen touareg. 2008-2011 model.
I think that may be way too specific

No mention about USB ports? Does it allow one to play from a USB C Diskdrive/Thumb drive?
If anyone knows kindly assist?

Is she coming back?
Air suspension sucks on Volvo, stick with standard suspension, would love your view on the normal suspension.
Wrong
Air suspension always gives a better ride then coil / fixed suspension.

We hope to drive a different spec with the normal suspension at some point soon. Stay tuned.

Yep boot is to small
Then buy a wagon. Most SUV's compromise boot space
Too expensive

who owns Volvo?
Geely Automobile, a chinese company.
