Great review. I bought an immaculate 2nd hand XC60 two years ago and have driven 8 hours non-stop in it arriving at my destination as fresh as when I left. Only niggles for me in that era are some of the pilot assist settings, most of which I switch off and the satnav which has obviously been addressed now. Denim blue. Blond interior. Classic. My next car will be another XC60. They are pure quality in design and comfort.
I got a Volvo XC60 T8 recharge 2023 . Full spec . Driven 600 miles . It's comes in about 90 000 US dollar . But if you as me it's worth every penny compared to BMW, Mercedes , etc . And for say 463 horse power makes the car moving . Comfort with the air suspension is really good , bower and Wilkins sound is real good , seat is in a class of it's on when it comes to comfort . Got the withe leader interior , I hope it age well but you need to keep it clean . Over all , it's a car way above bmw X3 or Audi Q5 Mercedes CLE . I think you have to go Mercedes S class if you want a "better" ride . But then you need to pay much more ... Best SUV ever . Enough said
What an insanely cool review. Got a T8 xc90 which I think, with a certain bias, is an even better car. But your review popped up and could not stop after watching the first minute. Brilliant car and awesome review
I drive first edition of T8 Twin Engine AWD from 2019. splendid car, only I got less overall horse power than new Recharge models and batteries are only 10.4 kWh. But there's one advantage for my model year, no maximum speed limiter installed, like in new ones, what makes me very fast on Autobahn!!! :)

I have to agree with most of what you say, my daughter has just bought a 2021 XC60 B5, and it's so comfortable, easy to drive, and so quiet, when I tried it I couldn't even hear the engine inside the car when ticking over, I had to ask my daughter was the engine running !
I owned this vehicle and is sooooo good! Is a boutique, powerful , luxurious and comfortable suv; is so fun to drive it! NO comparison with bmw, Mercedes, Audi and even Tesla lovers

Great review of the XC60 had one when first introduced, dirty engine then , had XC90 T8 too that was a fabulous car, currently driving a Tesla Y and a Jaguar I pace both great cars imo
Totally agree with previous reviews. Great presentation and love the delivery of the details we really want. It is a shame that fantastic Volvo service package no longer on offer as so many customers would use Volvo main dealers I am sure for most of the car’s ownership. You will have got many people now seriously interested in this car.
Also owned 2 Volvos .. great experience.. however .. living in Africa cannot consider Volvo going forward with them totally moving away from ICUs ( this is not Europe )
I agree. I went after one 6 months ago and had to pay £42k for a MY22 T8 Recharge with Polestar tuning and air suspension etc. Still had to pay £1400 for tow bar too, but boy it’s one hell of a car, nothing like I’ve owned before. Talk about Jekyll and Hyde. So much fun!!!❤
I have been looking at getting this car, but the middle seat not being a full seat puts me off. Can anyone confirm the middle seat is big enough for a teenage child. Thanks

I just have bought a new Xc60 Polestar in Brasil and will arrive monday and should be run flat (22 Wheel)but i think is not because my 2024 Ultimate dark (21 wheel)isn t and that s my only bad review from the car.

Great review. However, what happens if you get a non repairable puncture on a dark rainy night with all the family on board? I didn't see any mention of a spare wheel? I'm going to guess there is no space to put one either? If that's the case this lovely car suddenly becomes as much use as a chocolate teapot!
@@Aldisjanis You are completely misinformed. There is no Volvo being made on Ford platforms anymore. All 60 and 90 series are built on a Volvo developed SPA platform. Including the XC90. Funded by the owner company Geely, yes. But not dictated by them or handed by them to Volvo.
@@PriitKaru Only the XC 90 can be called a Volvo, and then only with its eyes closed. The platform has little meaning when it is hung with extraneous things. XC 60 = Ford Kuga, 60s, 70s, 90s modeļi = Ford Mondeo, old 40' and 50' modeļi = Ford Focus. There are no new VOLVO cars. EM 90, EX 30, XC40 are 100% Geely group models. The end of VOLVO Cars has in fact begun.
Do not buy this car! I have a 2020 T8 and the ERAD has just gone (had it since 2021 as a low mileage demo from the garage). Absolutely no help or support from Volvo. £10k bill for motor and transmission...it's that or scrap the car! This is clearly an issue with this model as you will see from the Volvo forums. Although a great car in most other respects, this should be a deal killer. Unless you have an insurance that will cover it don't go near this car. What is most frustrating is that I know that Volvo know this is an issue! My advice, go for a BMW or a Lexus.

From a big Audi fan, now Volvo V60 T8 recharge, totally converted, ticks all the boxes, oh & get the Polestar software upgrade to make it even better.

Xc60 in specific tends to have issues with the connection between the electric and gas engine. Its called the ERAD, take a look at it.
Always buy a used young Volvo because they depreciate like an anvil off a cliff. No idea why that happens but it does and always has.

20s if you stick with the correct size from the 20s and as long as they are Michelin and VOL tyres, you are golden.
I would buy it if the warranty on it isn't sucks. 4 years/50k miles,... like.. try harder pls Volvo!!
