Great Video Gary! The ORX is an excellent coin shooter in the US Parks... for someone who doesnt need all of the features on the Deus... the ORX is very simple turn and go! The ORX is also gaining a nice following online as well. I really like both of them for my type of detecting ... just depends on what type of detecting I will be doing that day to determine if I take the Deus or the ORX! You cant go wrong with either one!

Love these videos. I have an ORX and getting a DEUS to go along with it. At 68, the heavy Minelabs and White's have to go. Time for a change!

Which one would you recomend for gold coins buried about 8 to 10ft deep???? Or treasures buried deep????
lol, you need magic. No detector will reach 8-10’. Why so deep?
A backhoe and a ladder to bring in any detector in that deep hole, LOL!!!!
Hi,...love your channel and your delivery style. Its incredibly addictive ! One question please, if I may. Im a UK based detectorist and Ive had a EuroAce for a few years - time to move up ! For general relic / coin hunting, do you consider that the XP with an HF coil (over the ORX) would be a safer long term investment ?
Difficult question Martyn, it is more of a personal choice.
This is a very good part one, I am liking the orx and xp, does the Deus have a depth meter?
Depth meters are just a gimmick, the machine doesn't know the size of the target so will never give an accurate reading.
Finally a video that fully satisfies me. It was what was lacking to complete the little "theoretical" knowledge that we can acquire about these 2 versions. Mine for now is the ORX, and HF Elliptical. We'll see if we get to X35. The problem is that XP is not sending anything to Argentina! I will look forward to the 2nd part. Thank you very much Gary!

Do you think xp will incorporate a volume control in an update for the orx ?? It would also be nice if xp would add iron volume control also for the orx.
Sorry, but it's not possible through a sofware update because that would need an hardware upgrade. Buy the WSAUDIO wireless headphones and you will be able to monitor the volume of the sound

Hello, Harry! I am the owner of XP ORX with a coil "boat". And I am constantly tormented by doubts whether I chose the right size and shape of the coil. I would like to have an understanding of how much I lose in depth relative to the round HF coil. does it make sense to change it to it or to X35. The places where I use the device are the fields and forests of the Leningrad region, Russia. Could you create a short video on the depth of each of the coils, sequentially, and compare small coils, up to 11 inches, that?

Depth is not always down to the coil, it depends on the size of the target. Mentioned in my last video about XP coils.

Thats exactly what im planning to do. As far as I know all the xp coils are compatible but the orx headphone are not. Orx has the new WS4 audio

What would you recomend for north america (alberta canada) we dont have coin hords or ancient sites...just old pennies, no beach...golds all in british columbia
What i mean is which machine...ive wanted a deus but it just seema like overkill for finding a bunch of bottle foil tops and some nickles...
If you are just coin shooting the ORX may be your best option.

I’m thinking of getting an ORX remote, but would like to know the control recommendations for beach settings. The DEUS remote obviously has beach settings for wet and dry, but can you get the same results on the ORX??
No, you need to remember a beach is essentially a solid mineralised surface, being the sand, with a moving liquid layer under the sand. Even if you are on dry sand and dig down you will find water. That is a nightmare for metal detectors. Because targets can be suspended in the water not the sand. There are brands that make specific beach detectors like the the sand shark which are very good. Or buy the deus. The deus is a great all rounder, i have a deus, a nox 800 and garret at max. The nox and deus are similar but the nox is more complicated to use. The at max is my favourite detector and the cheapest out the 3, if I was buying my detectors now I would get an at max and a specific beach detector.

Each of those machines required selling the old to buy the new. I prefer updates over internet. Sell old machine to afford nrw one? That just makes dollars, not sense!
