    before the mvp, you drum up lead/demand. to get a sense of what to build. if you create the mvp first, you're wasting time. you need to see if there's a market and if said market has an urgency to fix the problem.

    Is it really an MVP if it’s not viable enough for people to use though?

      That’s right. Formally it could not be even called an MVP. My point here is that MVP is not dedicated to perform market validation, because invalidated product is uncertain and thus could not be viable. That’s why it’s important to validate the hypothesis before building an MVP
