This might be 2 years old but thank you. It is so far the best and easiest video to fallow. Thank you. I hope turtle and sunfish will enjoy the flow of this filter and I will be able to kill the air stone in the tank to help make a current for them
So today, April 5, 2023, I put mine together after I searched & found this video. You made it super simple... WAY better than the instructions themselves... ty so much for doing this... May more people find this useful 😁😁😁
I would read everything in a manual before using it.. he doesn't cover some really critical things in regard to what to be careful with especially during maintenance. AFTER you read through the manual even if its just the warnings and maintenance, then watch these sort of videos. Just my opinion :)
Excellent instructional video. I've sat and watched countless so-called instructional videos and come away with the feeling of "What"? The instructor either goes too fast, drags on too slow, or starts to tell endless side stories. I didn't choose to listen to anyone's side stories and thank you, I didn't hear any! Your presentation was clear, precise, and concise! Thank you! I just subbed your channel in the event that I have to return to clear. up a point that I forgot.
To anyone who reads this, please make sure the gasket is in the correct spot! You saved me from a lot of flooding! I couldn't figured out why it was spraying water everywhere and kept checking the directions to no avail. Turns out the gasket was in the wrong spot because it fit so well where the little clip-looking things are. Turns out it fits in more than one spot and one of the spots will empty your tank onto your floor within minutes.
I unfortunately read this after I had the flooding. 🤦🏽♀️ I couldn’t understand why it was pouring water out of both sides of the filter…. It was the gasket put in the wrong spot, they really should be marked in red because it really looks like it belongs in the top of the lid. The flood is cleaned up and the filter is now running and doesn’t appear to be leaking. I will continue to check on it for the rest of the day because I’m very paranoid.
@@ariannasearway oh no!!! That really sucks. Hope it's all good now? And that it didn't get too out of control... It pumps a lot of water. Mine hasn't leaked since I put it together. Seems to hold up well
@@olgav4271 well, I'm happy to have helped, but I'm sorry that happened! I think they need to clarify the instructions to be more clear and effective... My mom had her tank running for about 6 months while the media and charcoal were both still in their plastic bags. The gravel, decorations, and filter sponges were the only thing keeping the tank going.
Was in a slight panic with my brand-new filter, and hubby suggested I look online for a tutorial. Yours was PERFECT. I followed each step, with fear and trembling, and it all worked. Thank you for taking the time to state the obvious for people like me.
Thank you! I bought a fluval 307 for a tank I got to keep my painted turtle in. Opened the directions and it felt rather daunting. So, I looked for a tutorial on TH-cam and found this video, and in less than an hour I had it all running. Cheers from Illinois!
I just returned an Aqueon canister filter that I couldn't make it work. I got today a Fluval 207.... I follow you step by step, and have absolutely NO PROBLEMS, whatsoever. THANK YOU!!
Your tutorial was amazing! I have no canister filter experience. You made it simple, easy to follow, and such a joy to put it together. I’m amazed how quiet the filter is!!
Thanks brother, I work late night shifts driving 18 wheeler's, Im always in a time crunch, needed to get this running asap and your video made it happen without me having to muddle through the manual. Very direct concise and inclusive instructions. Thank you
THANK YOU!!! It's been many years since i put a canister filter together. I've been staring at my box for three hours. BRILLIANT tutorial. Seriously. Thank God!
I know this video was done a few years ago, I managed to put this together while I was cooking dinner and i had my knee replaced 6 days ago. To echo everyone, it made life much simpler. Great job!
I commented two days ago when arrived and I watched your tutorial. I was so excited I started the process, but ended up with a two day migraine, so I just NOW finished installing it. I ran into two tiny issues, both extremely easily resolved thanks to your amazing, easy to follow instructions! It took minutes to finish. After, it took only 15 minutes to notice a difference --in a very well established aquarium that was already doing really well. Heavily planted, CO2 injected, great light and filtration before hand. But this!!!!??... It's so quiet and improved the appearance of the water immediately, which like I said was already really good, and more so the esthetics had been noticeably streamlined. So gorgeous. Thank you. The ONLY thing I would recommend that you didn't mention... is that priming can take up to a couple of minutes before being ready to plug in. I thought based on your suggestion it would be a few seconds and I plugged it in just a bit too soon. However, this isn't a issue at all. I just unplugged it and waited longer. There was a clearly different sound when it was full of water. You'll also notice it because it sucked enough water out of the tank that I needed to replace just under three gallons to bring the water way up. But, again, this could be to many factors. Again, THANK YOU!! YOU'RE AMAZINGLY EASY TO FOLLOW. 💕 😘
Thanks so much for producing this. Bought one of these, the manual looked so awful and far too complex but you made installation so easy. All working great! Thanks again!

Great video which I followed step by step yesterday for setting up my Fluval 207 which is first my ever use of an external canister filter as I embark on my first journey into freshwater tropical aquariums. Since setup yesterday evening I've noticed there is a constant low pitched humming which is audible from other rooms, enough to be slightly annoying. I understand this external cannister filters are supposed to be virtually silent filters. I looked up possible causes online and thought may it had some air in there as there was a lot of new bubbles made and present throughout the glass walls and all over gravel, decor and internal equipment, from when initially setting up the aquarium putting in some gravel and decor and when pouring in water. I thought maybe a lot of air in the canister after that. I've tried tilting it many times at an angle which does bring out some bubbles from the output after a slight fizzing of bubbles heard. Also tried to manually pump with the self priming pump a bit. However, there is still the ongoing hum. I am sure all the medial and baskets were assembled correctly, etc. Any suggestions would be great please as was looking for an almost silent filter! Thanks.
Thanks, new filters can be a little bit noisy and take time to bed in and remove trapped air. Also if your not used to filter noise it's possible you're being sensitive to it which happens a lot with new fish keepers. Nothing with moving parts is silent and that's the same with filters, there will always be a slight hum even though fluval are one of the quieter brands, some noise is to be expected (I find it relaxing now). You will get used to it over time and as I said it should become a little quieter with time. If it's rattling or being very loud it's faulty FYI. Good luck with your new tank and I hope you enjoy the hobby!
I like this one, straight on point. Fluval has this thing that makes understanding the instruction manual harder, than just figuring out the filter. :) Perhaps the easiest to use canisters out there - you can't put anything together the wrong way. Even if you get a ''brain holiday'' and leave the ceramics and charcoal in the bags, there is enough sponge volume to keep most tanks going :)
I hope this video helps you setup your new Fluval 07 Filter!
