It is absolutely disgusting that they throw this stuff away. Sure, it's good for you and other dumpster divers, but 99% of this kind of stuff goes to the landfill when people would love to have it. They should have a box in the store with free stuff instead of tossing it, or send it to Goodwill so some poor kid can get a game or controller that he would never be able to afford otherwise. And believe me, GameStop is not the only company that does this, in fact, most companies do the same thing.
I worked at JC Penny when I was a teenager and they threw away almost all of the returns. The clothes they would usually cut up so nobody would grab it. Perfect pieces of clothing that someone returned because it didn't fit right, or didn't look right. But since I handled the trash I got some cool stuff. They would throw away entire sets of kitchen knives because one was missing, or throw away a huge set of dishes because one was cracked. I found a brand new pair of expensive work boots that had two little drops of paint on them, I yanked them up and wore em for work for a couple years.
It just disgusts me that millions of things get thrown away that people could use, and like JC Penny, they go through the trouble of destroying some of it on purpose so people can't get it out of the trash. Technically we weren't allowed to take any of it.
So wasteful...it just pisses me off to no end.
I work at a power plant now and up until a few years ago, we could get a permission slip to take anything home out of the trash that we want. Scraps of copper, metal pieces, random parts, wood pallets, perfectly good empty buckets, all types of parts and chemical containers, computers and computer parts, speakers, tools, office furniture, file cabinets, machinery, etc. Now they came out with a rule that they will fire you if you take ANYTHING from the trash. So if you got caught taking a empty bucket home you could get fired. The reason? "We had a request from the board members to implement this rule because it is in the best interest for our members" (the people who buy utilities from our power plant) Don't ask me how that reason could possibly make sense, but they won't budge. We see them paying to have stuff hauled to the landfill that people literally beg them for, but the answer is always "NO!" GameStop might have the same rule, which is why this stuff ends up in the trash and no employees take it. They may get fired for "stealing" if they take it.
That shit drives me NUTS! FUCK!

After school every day I go into my school dumpster because you would not believe what they throw out one time I found 10 figit spinners and a China doll. Now every night I see it and I depend on my dives for money 💰 to provide for my self because my family is considered poor thanks for the tips dude love u ❤️

I don't think it is fake. I explained this in Black Friday comments. Why would he buy all this stuff just to say he "dumpster dived" to get it? Why would he put games in trash bags and fill them with garbage just to put it in a dumpster and take it back out. I honestly think no one would do that. It's too much of a hassle. Even if it's for views. I don't think this is fake. I just think Speedy is super lucky.

You most likely discovered this by now, but that cable you thought was a HDMI cable is actually a display port cable for the newer computer monitors with graphics carbs that have the display ports on them. They're used for monitors that display 1440P and above.
