  • Installing an Acerbis bash plate / skid plate on my Suzuki DR650.
    Edit: The shorter screws go in the back without the washer. They're recessed so they don't catch or hang on anything. The video was edited with the fix.
    This was a really fun and easy mod to do. I was pretty happy with the end result.

    The only thing I don't like is one of the front bolts
    is to close to the engine after tightening
    everything. Hopefully don't ever hit it hard
    enough for it to penetrate the case!
    You say no issues with the engine over heating?

      Nope no issues with over heating at all. I've ridden some distance too. No problems at all.

    30 foot pounds of tork is the rule of thumb when not tork specifications are given. Personally I would've used lock tite or Permatex blue threadlocker.
