    Really been enjoying your videos mate. I recently bought a DR650 and have made a lot of similar modifications as you have and in some cases, got the inspiration from what you did, the screens for bikes is an exact example - looks awesome on the DR! In your video you mention changing the stock seat for a Seat Concepts one, great choice! I have already upgraded mine about 3 weeks ago and I can say that this is a super comfy seat that also looks great. I got the Complete seat, comfort version with carbon fiber sides and the gripper top, it's a ripper!

    I have used B&B bash plates on my Hondas before. Strong, but a PIA to get on and off. When sorted my DRZ400E I tried Force products and the on/off procedure is much easier. I also used their radiator guards too.

      It's a "screens for bikes" windshield from Australia. I find it good. Some people get buffeting. I must be the right height as the wind cuts off at my neck leaving my helmet in clean air. I am about 5"11 / 180cm. Hope that helps thanks for watching.

    Hi NzJohny ADV (I ordered a Clarke fuel tank as the 2006 I got has rust in it. It has been sitting and I seen you had a Acerbis one). Goin to have to order a new petcock as well as I am sure it is full of corrosion. What do you think of the Clarke tanks or you ever use them?

    • @NzJohny
      @NzJohny  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bugger that's no good! But atleast it's all fixable. I dont know alot about the clarkes but I have never heard anything bad about them myself. I would guess they are just as good as the acerbis. Almost guarantee the Clarke fuel cap is better though 😅 good luck with the repair! Thanks for watching

    • @NzJohny

      That's a fair point actually. I suspect its around the same or maybe 2kg or so heavier. Not sure how to measure accurately

    • @armadilllo
      @armadilllo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NzJohny Just curious because I did pretty much the same thing to mine, I'm too lazy to weigh it, I need two bathroom scales, one for each tire and only have one. EDIT: I just weighed mine, front wheel on scale then back wheel on scale. Front was 180, back 250lbs,=430lbs. 195 kg. I'm guessing that's about right with all the junk I added. I have bigger heavier steel racks,, sargent seat, and aluminum panniers with half tank of gas, tusk traverse pannier bags with two quarts of water in each one, tank bag, gps mount, bar risers....no wonder I couldn't pick it up on the side of a hill when it fell on my leg🤣. Still 200lbs less than the GS I had. I actually like the DR better than the GS and it was about $20,000 less even with everything I've done to it.
