26” FU multicade machine. Yes! Agree though that it will take both time and investment to piece it all together considering accessing games, skinning it, and getting matching controls based on those games.
That Alice pinball machine will be all about ball physics. Going to make or break its success. Really want to see game play before committing to purchasing it.
Yes, that is for sure one of the big concerns. Not sure they should have gone with a smaller ball (as opposed to the playfield simply being a little bit smaller.)... time will tell!
So much has changed in such a short amount of time. The home arcade hobby disappeared as fast as it exploded. It was fun while it lasted though. Great Video!✌
I have been wanting something bigger then a 3/4 cab, but also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars for it though. Personally I think that the XXL cabinet has a great form factor, good art and a solid game selection. I agree, that there should definitely be more games... but this will be a welcome addition to my small basement corner cade. EDIT: Yes I preordered the ALPHA XXL. Thanks for the video!
Make no mistake, I'm not trying to yuck anyone's yum - I totally understand the interest in it, but if I'm blasting A1uo for the lack of 20 games, I gotta do the same for John D! I actually think the art (and however they're attaching it) looks amazing.
Evil Genius, it seems that there has been call from the community for XL cabs. I ordered the XXL Alpha 2. I put my money behind John D’s vision. Going to give my old street fighter to the grandson. Ready to move to Arcade 2.0 from the old Arcade1UP’s. 🖖🏼
Hi buddy it’s been awhile,I’m looking forward to wonderland amusement, they are making a physical pinball machine for under 1000$.also Im getting back into my toy train hobby with Lionel trains, great show!
Even judging just be the comments so far for this video, I think there's some excitement for them - people have been wanting an XL SF for some time now. But is there 3,000 cabs worth of excitement (3K is the number of cabs people say you need to sell to make money)? That I'm unsure of. They'll def sell a lot of them, but perhaps not enough to justify a new cab for latter this year.
Fight themed cab with a Raspberry Pi, meh. Glen is least trying do something interesting with a rotating screen. I own some of Glen’s products and they well built and work great.
Funny you mention the Pi aspect of it, b/c that's a turnoff for me. Pi's a re neat for science experiments, but very troublesome for arcade builds. I've have 3 of 'em die on me (although not a gen 5 - haven't used one yet), so a little wary of that as the backbone of the machine. I LOVE the idea of a rotating screen. Done before in other cabs of course, but Glen's take looks to be the best yet.
Great video. I’m interested in Street Fighter. What are your thoughts about Unico Nova Blast? It has a beautiful profile, big screen and designed for players to sit.
Personally I don't love the look/form factor of them; no nostalgia for me personally. But functionally they are great. I do like a taller cab for sure though....
Well that's the thing - there are literally hundreds of titles that either have never been released, or haven't been in a long time. Which in part is why I was a bit disappointed in the STREET FIGHTER announcement as it's one of the most produced cabs in the world.
There’s no excuse why this should not be priced at $599 to compete directly with A1up’s XLs. Not interested in ANY rehashes. Give us something totally new. Until then NO company gets my money.
Dave, the price IS a bit jaw-dropping. A $799 price tag for what is essentially an A1up is probably not going to work for even die-hard home arcade enthusiasts. And I think you're accurate to call it a re-hash: the inclusion of ALPHA isn't enough to call it a new product (anymore then the Midway/Golden Tee XL released by A1up was last year). Don't hate the cab, but I think there were many other more exciting titles ...
Wonderland Amusement’s pinball is what has me most excited this season, can’t wait for it!
If it actually comes in at $999, and is any kind of fun, it'll be awesome
I am interested to see Glenn's final FU cabinet design.
Oh yeah, me too! That rotating screen looks amazing... of course, a 26" screen is nice too!
I always look forward to your videos and your take on the latest developments!
I appreciate the kind words loganq, I really do!

Oh I meant it when I said it won't be for the faint of heart.
Wake me up when AvP, Track n Field, Smash Tv, Wrestlemania or Sega games get announced. Until then it’s vpin packs and root beer for me going forward.
Then you better stock up stock up on root beer!
Wonderland pinball is what im watching the most
Me too!

I don't think it's disappeared, but not having A1up being a major player anymore has definitely changed the game.
Wonderland has my attention!
Oh yeah, me too! Hopefully the ball physics aren't too wonky; too much like a tabletop pin.

Tim - I totally understand! It is (will be) the nicest SF cab on the market... and perhaps the ONLY SF cab on the market as the year progresses!
Hi buddy it’s been awhile,I’m looking forward to wonderland amusement, they are making a physical pinball machine for under 1000$.also Im getting back into my toy train hobby with Lionel trains, great show!
LOVE me some trains - but talk about a hobby that can get expensive fast!
Not sure the market will support more SF cabs. Anyone who wanted one would have purchased an arcade 1up

Thanks Evil Genius 👊🏻😎🕹️
Hey, thanks for watching Ted!
Great video
Thank you Steve!

Another great piece of content
Thank you King D!

I want a Double Dragon arcade

twilight zone and creature from the black lagoon are both already available on the 4kp
He was referring to a skinned theme cabinet.
Yeah, the footage you see is actually from the 4KP. I just think a THING themed cab would be amazing.
I like the killer instinct skin
See? I knew there were some of you out there! :)
