Hi Linnel. You can do it this way, but no guarantees it will work. The wheelset I filmed this video on are not tubeless ready (neither are the tires), and it worked for me. I've heard of other people having no success with it. I recommend using tubeless ready equipment, but it is possible for it to work. Just understand the risks involved and check it often for safety/make sure the seal is tight. Best of luck!
I've read and heard mixed things about converting non tubeless rims even if you use Tubeless compatible tires that it can be dangerous. I ordered a set of whee1s I thought was tubeless compatible but it is not. 650b alex rims 23 internal width seem very deep. I've heard of tires blowing off and peope getting hurt on converted non tubekess rims. Your thoughts.
I've heard mixed things as well. I rode the setup in this video for a full year with no issues. I dented that wheel though so replaced them with tubeless ready wheels. I recommend only doing something that you are comfortable with. As there is potential for it not to work just proceed at your own risk.
Very well actually! I've had no leaks or flats as of yet, and I ride a lot of rocky terrains. If you have the means, I would recommend getting tubeless ready, but I am impressed with how these are working.
Hadn't watched your video on this. Thanks the shout out, much appreciated!
Great meeting you this weekend and getting a ride in, was a lot of fun.
BlindstuffMTB No worries man. This weekend was awesome. Thanks again for meeting up. Hope we can do it again!
Wheel of Fortune in the end, lol other wise great vid.
It's my nightly ritual to watch it when I get home from work haha

How is the tubeless holding up with those non tubeless ready tires?

@@CobraKyle after a year is it still good?
ASB Parts has some awesome sealant & Tape as well. Check it out.
Oddly enough I just picked up some ASB sealant. Gonna try it out on a new wheelset I got.
if you think tubeless conversion is fun, now install cushcore!
Their product video makes it look simple, but I can only imagine the real pain involved.
Hahaha. Nice!
