I wish it well but ... At about the same population of Tokyo Japan, the Line will not just have a bottle neck, it will BE a bottle neck. The thousands of streets, sidewalks and subways of Tokyo are packed.. But try to force the very same number of people to travel within just a 600 ft wide area and see what you get. To mitigate this the only thing to do is for the residents to be restricted and make them get approval to travel outside of their 5 minute zone. Much like the WEF's 15 minute cities. Not only will you have all the goods and services "THEY" say you need in your small assigned zone, you will be punished or prohibited to access those outside of your 15 minute city zone.
At the end of the day both amount to prisons. NO matter how nice that try to make your enclosure. THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS. If your goal was to restrict people to their one small sector in a normal city environment it would be more apparent that this is a free range prison. But with a line, the mandates and desires and efforts to restrict residents can be blamed on the design itself. Think about it. I hope I am wrong. ,

I highly doubt the entire project will ever be built. If anything, just constructing one mile or even less could be feasible to test the concept out and see how the inhabitants interact with it. If the concept is successful, they can add additional linear sections to it, each time incorporating improvements from unforeseen issues from the previous phases. There will probably need to be breaks between some of the phases to allow people to get to the other side of the complex, unless there will be underpasses for vehicles throughout the length of the building. I like how people will be able to float inside the large open atrium space between the two building sides!

In fact, what does a city need to be successful? It needs an airport and a port, it needs transportation, it needs services from hospitals, food stores, police, schools, and parks, whatever the shape and design of the city is traditional, circular, or linear. Living in an area of 500 meters in 170 km is enough, and the city will succeed, I promise you that from Saudi Arabia, Omar 2023.

Yes, I'm thinking of the circular cities that Jacque Fresco designed. I even watched an interview with Fresco, where he criticized the concept of a linear city. He said that if you live in a linear city, you want to get from one end to the other, and then you have to go the same distance to go back home. Whereas in a circular city if you go around the entire city you get back to where you started. Jacque Fresco said that the concept of a linear city is foolish, and that circular cities are a much better choice.

The biggest question is 'where are they going to get the water to keep this development liveable ???? - it's portrayed as being built all covered with luscious greenery - hence the dream of the Arab people who mainly live in dry dusty places - but unless they are going to access some huge water table under their country, water is not an automatic thing - or are they planning on desalination plants all along the city's path & piped sea water - I guess recirculation concepts are getting better & better so there is that ? And why bother with something so ridiculous - they can succeed with smaller areas as this video points out, so maybe this dramatic thing is just a product of a hyper-ambitious brain, who loves fame, and has a fortune to slosh around on strange ideas ???

The Construction Work that you see in this video clip, is not of The LINE, it is of The Spine, which is the high speed railway which will in the future go from the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba to NEOM international airport NIA. The Spine railway will support the The LINE for both passenger and freight services. The images of construction shown are for the rail corridor, which is a cut and cover tunnel for most of the length of the 170km route, with only approx 37km actutally being built as a tunnel. Of course when the remainder is "covered" the whole Spine railway will be a tunnel. The construction work shown in this footage is not of The LINE but of the cut n cover rail works of The Spine.

So you know how small area 10 meters is? My backyard is bigger lol... Try to make that an inner citys center aisle with trees and walking ways etc.. Not going to happen, maybe some small miniature version. IF it true and as in the animated video it must be at least 220 meters wide, so 4-5 times wider what its now. Alson the depth is to shallow. It they meant to build metro and highspeed trains underground among with secondary maintenance road that should be at least 50 meter deep also. Now its bare 2 meters deep. LOL. What a fake thing.

Food for thought... this and most of these other "abandoned city projects" all over the world, especially China, was thanks to the American Economy. China didn't really have modern mega cities before the 80s, that was all due to the factories leaving the United States. Other countries have made so much money off of us since we stopped making everything here, that they got over-ambitious... and when the US market crashed so did their projects. Up until the 80s, we rarely had anything that wasn't made in the USA, and since then it's hard to find anything actually made here.

The design of this project reveals something disturbing. This design does not allow development outside of the line and you may be restricted from gong outside of the line once you enter it. Like a prison. Also everything you see or do will be controlled and monitored. It is hard to know what the advantages of this design really is seeking to achieve. It makes perfect sense to have transportation lines and to build along it but a more natural meandering path would be more natural and beneficial for those living there.
I suspect the line also serves a something like the Great Wall of Chynah dividing and or protecting a region. Only time will tell. . I wish them well and I wish the people who have to live there well but I would not want to live there.

If they were to try to treat this as a geo-political structure, it would not be smart to drive this much attention to it or allow drones to watch and release footage of it that they would not allow.

its a beautiful idea! Its a great way to integrate/practice a Holistic natural lifestyle & habits to our idea way of living for our anatomy/mental health.
So im saying its better we speed up the evolution of humanity's Consciousness/awareness/knowledge of self & thee duality of nature.
Than to have all this suffering for lack of knowledge & the use of wars, viruses, misdiagnosis, neurotoxins in food, products, pesticides.
We are all interlinked in this electromagnetic universe.

This does not seem feasible. The harbor can maybe accommodate 1 cargo ship? That is not enought to suppport this type of infrastructure. What about an airport? Are they going to just attach it to the side or are ppl going have to fly in from another city? What about Fire fighting and rescue?
