@@evaworrall9544 so many memories, and The Masterplan is a Masterpiece. I remember seeing for the first time in the movies, and thinking "this is how this story should end, with the fanfares of The Masterplan".
The last truly Great British band. Since then The Arctic Monkeys have come close but no one really broke through the way Oasis did. I count myself lucky to have been in my early teens when my best mate introduced me to Definitely Maybe. By the time What's the story came out I'd passed my test and got a car with a CD player and we'd started surfing with a group of friends. Oasis was the soundtrack to my youth and I'm so glad they were around as the British music scene definitely needed a kick up the ass at the time
Arctic Monkeys at 2013 were most like that, in my opinion the last great rock band, world wide known, until then. Rock n' Roll isn't dead, just has it's own cyclical nature. Someday another goup of random guys will join themselves to make great music again, and bands like Oasis are some of those that always will be remembered and idolized by the new rising stars.
They were pre internet era, i think now because of the internet we have access to a wider availability of music so fans have more options to choose from and it can impede artists getting as big. I also think most people I know will like one or two songs from an artist and rarely become engrossed in their music as a whole the way people used to. When you ask people these days what they are into its usually 'oh a bit of everything'. I dont think we will see a band blow up the way oasis did but the timing for them was also perfect for it to happen.
i've been a massive fan of oasis since 1995/96, they stayed with me all my life, i've seen tons of material about the band, and this is by far the most introspective and raw ever, it showed me oasis on a completely new perspective that i had no idea it existed, they understand fate, sinchronicity, God... thank you for this, loved it
Seen so many documentaries and read a couple of books regarding the story of Oasis. The documentaries were full of talking heads who weren’t even close to the band. What makes this documentary so special is that you’re hearing the story from the mouths of the band and others closely associated with it. Some of the footage is incredible and the way it’s used as the story is being told is very clever. One thing Noel says at the end that I agree with is that after Knebworth they should have left it there. 2 classic albums and an amazing story of a band that went from unknowns to superstardom in such a short timeframe and all that went with it. That’s how I and I think many fans will remember them anyway. ❤

This is my 10th time watching this documentary and i'll never get bored of it. What a top tier band, i'm pretty sure they'll Live Forever.
Would be great for these two to just be mates and brothers again even if they don’t bring back oasis. Liam has always been my favourite but always felt like he was the more problematic one but it seems to have turned around and Liam is ready to fix things and Noel isn’t. Obviously I don’t know the ins and outs before anyone gets upset haha. End of the day without them both neither would have been such a success.
Totally. I don't want a reunion I liked the band then and it would be a bad idea to reunite just for the fans or the money. They should only do it if they sound good still
noel is just a very stubborn person. he’s the type of guy who if you have one too many arguments with, then don’t expect him to forgive you & move on from it. he’s just gonna cut you off if he feels it’s best for him. and that’s what he did with liam, he probably didn’t even think about how it’s his brother & just thought that he would be happier without him in his life. it’s a sad situation & noel becoming this way likely would’ve stemmed from his childhood

What an absolute legend peggy is - a lovely soul and typical of women from that era who stepped up for shit blokes and worked their arse off for their kids. Love it when she says she was upset cos 'it really spoiled their night' lol
We are all very lucky they didn't release the Monnow Valley version of definitely maybe.
Noel: I have alibi for that🤣🤣🤣. Oh god the hair at that time🤭🤭🤦🤦🤦🤦
