What an absolute legend peggy is - a lovely soul and typical of women from that era who stepped up for shit blokes and worked their arse off for their kids. Love it when she says she was upset cos 'it really spoiled their night' lol

Even though part is play acting it has always bothered me how conceited these guys are at times - yes I've seen them more humble as well - to call yourself one of the most important bands of your generation is 1) a claim many can make; 2) something most of them would be ashamed to claim out loud; 3) they were original in ways but also quite generic in others. The thing that made them stand out was the few very strong big songs and their overall energy. But in the big picture I mostly hear typical hard rock with a more edgy tone to it (mostly the dissonance in vocals and guitars). Personally I don't feel it as deeply, to me it often seems a bit monochrome or something. I actually think Standing on the Shoulders of Giants is maybe their best album, but apparently most people hate it. Idk their music just doesn't blow me away as it does with so many, even though I can listen to it for a few days and like to dig through it, I just think even in their strongest songs there is a production overkill that sort of irritates me at times (example the repeating chorus with keys at the end of Wonderwall). You know, I've tried, but I appreciate Oasis more than really love them I guess.

It's some miracle Liam is better looking because his brothers really have that British - ahemm- 'not so good lookie'.. And Noel seems to look a lot like their dad. I think Damon Albarn actually is harder though.

What a let down it would be to go an Oasis show only to have Noel singing Liam's parts :(

They were both trying to run the band but in reality neither of the them were more important than the other, they were equal. Oasis is oasis with Liam and Noel, everyone else is expendable no matter how great they are.
