- Today I want to show you a set of b&w film photographs that I shot in December. What's interesting about them is that I unintentionally created a narrative throughout the whole roll that tells a little story - enjoy :)

Seeing your monochrome photographs of Vienna, especially the first shot of the children and the bicyclist, reminded me of Carol Reed's wonderful 1949 film "The Third Man," beautifully captured by Robert Krasker's cinematography. Vienna has of course changed greatly in the intervening nearly 75 years, but his black and white images and yours ineluctably tie the past and present, at least for me.

Pheeew maybe, but not sure. I feel like it doesn’t quite suit the channel, because I‘ve been focusing purely on photography now. Actually I‘ve been trying to go that direction on Patreon, where I made Videos on how I made my Short film, how I edit certain photos or other more tutorial kind of videos, that I feel would be a little too technical for the channel🤔
But maybe the right inspo or idea will hit me one day and I‘ll think of a way to make that kind of a video in a way that it better suits the channel🙌🏼

It's actually not that complicated or intense - I think the most important is the recording itself actually. I speak rather softly and quietly into the mic and go pretty close, approximitely 5-10cm.
Then in Premiere I adjust the amplitude so that the louder parts of my speaking peak at about -7db to -4db.
Then I add a DeEsser with the preset "Low Voice DeEsser". Next I add a Parametric Equalizer and use the preset "Vocal Enhancer" and set the highest frequency point to 12db, instead of what the preset had set.
And finally I add a "hard limiter" just in case and that's it :)

Ahh it‘s not connected to the PC, just to the camera. I‘m just using a normal Aux cable to extend the mic cable🙌🏼
