I search for new Fr. Turbo content on the regular, Ive listened to near everything I believe, and when I heard you ask for his story I was ready eye rolling, but its been awesome so far

I always love listening to Fr. Turbo's interviews. I was deeply involved in the occult, especially Crowley's work, in college. I was baptized and entered the Orthodox Church almost three years ago now.

Man when Fr. Turbo said "Thats why you're here" in reference to your grandfathers prayers it brought me to tears. The reason it brought me to tears is because I'm here (in Holy Orthodoxy out of prelest) because of my mothers constant prayers. Mind blown 🤯

I became Orthodox when I was 27 and was baptized in 2000 and choose the name Elijah or Elias. A few years later I read in some of ancestral info we have of our family back on my dad's dad side I believe I saw several if not many Elijahs. It really surprised me that I had serendipitously chosen this name . . but then again not really. Dad was from the Appalachian mountains and his ancestry last name is English but Dad has so much Cherokee Indian in him he appeared quite dark.

Watching this interview brought me back to 2014 when I was rescued by God or Angels out of the New Age movement into the Orthodox Church - through St. Herman of Alaska Monastery and Fr. Seraphim Rose. Made me cry. Thanks for helping walk us through the transformational stages of entering into the true Church. Thank God.

I too came home to the Eastern Orthodox Church out of the new age! It was the best decision I ever made, and I am so excited to be baptized after my chrismation classes end. I was also blessed to learn Fr.Turbo’s parish is in my old neighborhood. I have not been to that area since I cleaned up my life, but I will surely be visiting soon! I want the nuns to make my baptismal robe! Christ is risen☦️

I was probably a poser… into punk to get a boyfriend and be liked… to find a boy to love me…. I got plenty of them… all empty.. all disappointing… then following my Mom into the Hindu cult so she would love me… at the same time I’m getting a PhD in clinical psychology to “help” people…I needed the help, only to be found in Christ! Finally!
