    4:24 I'm a Soft Classic and have a pink dress for weddings Veri similar to the one Marion Cotillard is wearing in the middle. But with a little bit shorter skirt and longer sleeves.
    People told me loads of compliments wearing this gown.

    First off, let me state that I really love your channel!
    Second, I have given up trying to find my type. Is it possible to have a head type that’s a completely different from a torso type?
    Third, do you have a video on shorts for the different types? I live in a climate that warm most of the year. Wearing shorts is a practically a necessity in South Florida. A nice extra would be to provide examples of more comfortable shoes that would look good with shorts on the different types. It’s not uncommon to see a grown woman wearing tapered, skin tight, denim shorts with a novelty tank top, dangling earring, sunglasses, messy hair, a expensive designer handbag and outrageous colored sneakers.
    Fourth, thank you for showing both Katherine Hepburn and Sofia Loren. For those, who prefer vintage styles or would like to see how the different types would look in different eras, might I suggest showing fashion by types during previous decades?
    Lastly, could you show images of different aged women, please?
    THANK YOU! A LOT OF TIME, EFFORT AND HARD WORK GOES INTO YOUR WONDERFUL VIDEOS!

    Love your channel! I was thinking it might be interesting to look into the style changes characters in tv shows go through throughout the years. (One example being Three's Company, a personal favorite.) I love seeing how the fashion changed for the female characters. Some of the outfits and style changes suited the actresses and others... not so much. :) I'm sure there are more modern shows that more people would be interested in, but just throwing an idea out there!

      I didn't think the DC images in this video matched the description Aly was reading out, either. None of those outfits were actual DC lines - *maybe* the black suit with gold trim would qualify. None of the others would look good on DCs

    • @Tamara-uw8gv

      @agneturney5135 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Tamara-uw8gv am I a misconstrued type? :D It's just challenging for many, that's why :) It's this very sharp edge, but adding anything from dramatics looks too heavy. Tricky. Alex Perry midi dresses or some of Dolce&Gabbana are great for DC

    • @Tamara-uw8gv
      @Tamara-uw8gv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agne Turney i don`t know which bodytype you are. The problem is that there are so many celebrities typed as Classics who actually aren`t. Diane Kruger and Olivia Wilde are dramatics, Olivia Palermo is a FG, Jacky Kennedy is a pure Natural or FN. Catherine Deneuve is not a SC, but a DC. Marion Cottillard is not a SC, but a SD. There is no very sharp edge, when it comes to DCs. If you look at Diana Rigg, Polly Bergen and Jane Wyman you can see, that they all have the same bonestructure. They don`t look super sharp or bony. If you look at pictures of Olivia de Havilland, you can see the difference between DC and SC. Her features are rounder and softer and her vibe is different. The problem is, that the recommendations often are oriented towards these wrong typed women.

    Love this video! One thing I would ask, as a flamboyant gamine, is that you make the flamboyant gamine outfit suggestions a bit more wearable. I know this video was like eveningwear so the outfits were not every day casual, but still, I feel like a lot of times the stuff you suggest for flamboyant gamines is just simply not practical and I would never ever wear it!

    • @anne-marie8018
      @anne-marie8018 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, FG style always seems to be shown as loud, in-your-face, extraverted, "I want to show you my quirkiness." Personality First. But what about regular people? At work or just hanging out, or maybe I don't want to advertise my personality and like it when people notice subtle details that are unique to me that they didn't notice at first.
      I would like to know more about the lines and less of the stereotype. It's mixed and unblended, as to bone structure, etc, with a little extra angularity, right? I want to see how to flatter these characteristics, and don't care about quirkiness or other personality things. Until after I have the outfit down, at least. It's then that I want to adjust for personality.
      I mean, I understand the concepts of broken lines and asymmetricality, but how that translates into clothes that help highlight or harmonize my shape or shapes is more complicated, and what I'm interested in.

    Thank you so much Aly 😍😍😍 I love your videos 😍😍 you are so educated and smart and your videos are so informative and intelligent!
    I'm really struggling to pin down my kibbe type. I'm 168 cm, have wide straight blunt shoulders, narrow chest with not much breast, narrow waist, wide hipbones (like my shoulders) and my bones (except my fingers unfortunately) are delicate. I have small hands but not small feet, short muscles that show, but I appear soft. My head seems small in relation to my body, my face seems rather soft, although I have a pronounced jawline. Overall, my body and face look mostly delicate.
    As for clothing, I think DC and TR suit me best. According to the tests, I used to be SC, C of TR. Honestly I‘m totally confused 😟😂

      Audrey Hepburn was a FG and her style was very classic and elegant but in gamine lines and she looked just right!
      How and where can you add FG lines in a classic style? Wearing heavier fabric, wearing short pieces (midi length or showing your feet), breaking your line with waist emphasis, wearing a classic symmetrical blouse but with contrasting yet simple button (Gamine is about details) wearing something soft and femenine on top (yin) with some minimalist tailored pants (yang)
      Gamines are a mix of both at the end

      Both wear structured fabrics but Gamines prefer close fitted items with more detail and Classics look better with silhouettes that skim the body with a bit of ease. Classics can look very finished and pleasing in a quality plain sheath dress. Gamines will look matronly and boring in the same dress, like its "not enough" and feel suffocated by the lack of detail. Gamines are much smaller in bone size. Don't worry about proportional or symmetrical as it confuses everyone. Most Classics have something that is not symmetrical about them, its part of being a unique individual. Their overall theme is balance but there is always other things that bring character.

    Hey Aly, a please just a question. If I open a channel and talk about Kibbe types for the Spanish audience like your videos, can I monetize my content? or it's copyrighted to Kibbe? There will be no music, just my voice and celebrity photos. Is that okay to monetize? Or kibbe himself can strike my channel if I monetize these videos? Thanks🌺🌺🌺

      Pia I cant answer your questions but I thunk that would be an excellent idea.I live in Central America and it would be very popular. I have a local young friend and I so want to teach her how to dress. She is the first woman in her family to not wear indigenous clothing so she has no clue about shapes that look good on her. She has worked hard to become a manager and has the means to buy nice clothing she just doesnt seem to know what suits her. I am old enough to be her grandmother but I do know and wear fashion that suits me. She needs a Spanish speaking mentor closer to HER age mid 20s but she needs tomumderstand executive wear ...I do for me but for her not so much. I think your idea is terrific! I wish you great success with it.

    Aly (or anyone who may know the answer) are strapless dresses for FNs a do or a don't? Since our shoulders must always be taken into considerarion, I think this question is of ultimate importance. Thanks :)

      FNs can definitely do strapless dresses. Its literally the definition of an open neckline so should be perfect as long as the cut isn't too stiff or overly ornate

No,but I think helps with some of the things that explain the logic behind the kibbe,for example the reason why gamine are told that they look great with short hair,is because elongates the body,since they are short people, or romantics need a wide and round neckline because if is too closed can creat the ilusion of the person beeing restrit and the bust despropotionaly big. Dear Aly, can you maybe explain how to dress when you're a mature woman (where "'Mature" is precisely a polite term for a middle-aged woman, which is associated with 40-50s for men and women - just a friendly reminder) whatever mature but not to mature (by word "'Mature" iI mean a polite term for a middle-aged woman, which is associated with 40-50s for men and women - just a friendly reminder to make sure everyone is happy) years old. Maybe using 30s was a way of being polite. By the way, I saw a female senior citizen last week who looked terrific (not trashy nor trying too hard to look like a teeny bopper) in a mini skirt. She had great legs.

    • @palomabarol

      @@jadakowers4727 I'm sure that older woman looked great. That's not the point. But let's call a spade a spade. 'Mature' is precisely a polite term for a middle-aged woman, which is associated with 40-50s for men and women. Nothing wrong with aging but it would be like saying a 42 year-old was a senior citizen. On the contrary, if we don't try to hide age and actually celebrate it, we won't have to hide behind political correctness. Just a friendly discussion, of course 😊

      SDs primary characteristic is bold yang which is their elongated and angular bone structure which R and TR don't have
      *TR also do have sharpness but they don't look elongated and tall at all*
      SD won't look good in an overly fitted dresses especially if the fabric is lightweight and the details are small and intricate that will suit R and TR. Dresses that has a long and straight silhouette that drapes around their body and oversized ornate shapes and details will work for SD, but not for R and TR.

    • @princessstella6552

      @@tomjones2157 SG is nothing to compare in SD. SD is still YANG because it has the bone structure of D that is covered by R flesh which you perceive them as tall + curvy or tall + fleshy, SG has thecombination of Yin and Yang in bone structure that you can't see on SD (e.g.: petite frame + short arms + long legs), but they have something in common when it comes to body flesh. TR basically a narrower or compact version of R, and they both have shorter bones.
