Will have to say , using a G1 mask is nice , the visibility you have is nice , I dont notice the frame of the mask when i am wearing it.

I am on two departments, we have the MSA on one and Interspiro on the other , the MSA field of view is much better in my opinion although we’ve experienced some less than stellar batteries on those MSA’s G1’s . Pretty disappointed for brand new packs.

Why would you want to have constant airflow in your mask wouldn’t you loose air and isn’t that what the bypass is for?

You’re not being feed air like your usual regulator for scuba diving. The air is being fed into the mask itself so that it’s a positive pressure system so that it a break in the seal does happen it keeps the smoke from getting in. Plus it’s kinda like air conditioning which is pretty great when you’re in the interior of a building doing either search or fighting the fire. Which can get damn near 1000 degrees pretty easily. So it’s nice
