I can switch screens with a keyboard shortcut, but I cannot get the screen to switch by moving the mouse to the edge. I have set up the PC under Screens and Links.
I am sorry I missed this comment. I am sure by now you have got it figured out or moved on to something else. If you still require some help just let me know!
so im using barrier in a virtual machine but it's not using my local ip address but the ethernet adapter from the virtual environment. how can i change this so the client can pick up the keyboard and mouse from the server. the server is running barrier in a virtual environment.
@@_CyberMe i dont quite understan the question but the ip in the command line for the vm is different than my loca network ip which is what the client is on
@@_CyberMe i just dont think it is possible. i am using linux chromeos virtual environment. it is debian based and i was able to install barrier in the terminal but because it is in a virtual environment it's not working.
@fastng It had been a while since. If I had my stuff set up I would try to replicate the problem and help you more but unfortunately my stuff is still in boxes for another month.
Is it a physical machine? The kali Linux? If so yes. With vm as described in this video i ran into some troubles. May be fixed now haven't used it in a while but may do so soon.

Are you able to communicate with the vm from client? If it's on a isolated network then obviously this will not be a solution that will work

@fastng are they on the same network? Same subnet? Can you ping the vm from client?

Can you use this for example while using Windows computer and my mouse and keyboard are connected to it and share it to the Kali Linux machine?
