- The 40 Years of the Kawasaki H2 celebrations at Spa in Belgium - 1st July 2012. I was riding my H2c Street "Drag Bike" - any more than a quick burst of speed and the motor would not have lasted for Four laps . . It performed well, even though the clutch gave up on the First lap.
the power of the 2 stroke
Thank you for this. It's a pleasure watching 'liftoff' as it comes on the pipe.
2 strokes are phenomenal
short power delivery, but twice as strong as 4-stroke (no empty stroke) and they have a great character.
So you gotta love 2 strokes
That Kawa two stroke drone sound!!! Could listen to it all day.......
ace
What a cool track...I had a '72 that was ported and carbed up and chambered when I was in H.S. (at the time I had an AMA expert license for motocross)...needless to say I was hell on wheels....had it 2 years and was never beaten...it would eat Z 1's for breakfast.
You HAVE to love Two Strokes! - Good luck with the GT! :)
LOVE that techo needle - talk about constant info !!!! - hell it moves around - 2 Stroke magic ! - THUMBS UP
Fast bike! Two stroke forever!
Hi
The bike has a Fast By Gast Stage III motor in it which should be 130 BHP ish, the pipes are FBG sidewinders which were modified for street use, reeds would help the bottom end a LOT, the bike is quite hard work at anything under 5,000 rpm.
I LOVED Every second of it . . . I wish I knew the track better - and I wish I had taken a slightly less highly tuned (reliable) bike round . . . I would have been able to concentrate on riding and not on whether or not my motor was going to go bang! :)
There were at least 5 Purple '75's - all looking FANTASTIC in the Belgian sunshine!
That was great, makes me want to go ride my H2.
Rocket Thrusters engage at 7000rpm
Looks like a great time with all those H2'S I'm sure you see some awesome looking bikes besides all yours! Thought i saw a couple purple 75'S like mine!! ,Great video as always!
oh the good ole days, I'm not sure what got my heart pumping more, when I twisted it or coming into the corners...
Great video - that H2 really flies.
Good to see they only let out 5000 riders per session.
Its a; parade lap, 40th anniversary of the H2, [ Laverda"s too ]. , I rode, 750 miles each way to Spa, , 2 strokes are reliable too.
Hey Rick I have a 74 H2 and was wondering what all was done to this drag bike. How many horses? I want to do some work to mine as well.
Ahhh . . It was 4 "Parade" laps . . and of course, many of the guys had to ride the bikes home after, so, some were cruising . . . and some were "playing" :)
hi rick gary lacy here, looks great I miss my old h1b
that sounds like an absolute nightmare... but thats still a hell of a bike. unreal powerband. whats its ET in the 1/4?
Amazing!simply amazing!!
Wow, thoroughly enjoyed that! If it's a drag bike, it must be a handful in the corners. But didn't seem like it from the vid. Nice job.
ahhhhh j'ai juste un peu bu ce soir.... mais c''' est trop bon ta video... merci
Nice one rb,sure looked like fun !
Ahhhhh . . You have never owned a Kawasaki Triple - They are notorious for worn out locks, every bump you hit the key leaps out and if you are lucky it falls onto the frame under the fuel tank . . . but you need the key to get the seat up to retrieve it! - Endless hours of fun!
Awesome, just awesome
Love it what's with all the lads ridding 3 a breast . Looks like you were enjoying yourself .. Long live triples eh!
Super Kawasaki
Nice one Mr B ,told you it was good !!!!
Next stop Mallory
Lawman
You must have an extra set of powerbands on that bike. Only kidding but that thing does hit hard.
Right, I'm off the bathroom with my Cycle magazines. Buck rogers over.
Exzellent Exzellent Exzellent

I HAD A 74 H2 750 4-STAGE PORTING,DENCO'Sect.,AN IT DID'NT HIT AS HARD AS THIS ONE SEEMS TOO. IF I COULD RUN ACROSS ANOTHER H1,OR H2 I'D HOLD ON TO IT NOW THAT I KNOW WHAT I HAD!!!
