dedication bro that’s why wayne used that word for his albums. something i need to work on. we won’t always be inspired to go out and do stuff so instead we have to be disciplined enough to and be dedicated to what we do
That's a good point: skate parking does seem to be closer to the ground and I think that's part of what's brought me back into the sport. Coming from the 90-00s era of skating, it was all about big sets, big gaps, big rails, or bust. Now, people seem to love either the steez in a simple trick or something more tech.
I don’t get what you’re saying, this was a whole vibe in the 2000s but they didn’t build skate parks but skate spots? I think the video basically shows that this skate park is for a more experienced rider and has some questionable add ons
The amount of work you put in skating while doing the video portion talking explaining and show the rails transitions and all the lines you can session… props you’re a dedicated man I enjoy you’re videos . Keep that passion alive brother
Hey John, I have a video idea. I just watched “Elf” for the first time and there’s a scene where Michael gets a skateboard from Santa. Santas book says he wants a “real huf skateboard with high 145 Thunder Trucks, 52mm spitfire classic wheels and bolts”. Thought it was funny that they actually said real parts and pieces. You should ride it and see if the kid had good taste. As usual, loved the video. Happy Holidays John!
@@JohnHill It’s during the scenes when Santa’s sleigh has crashed in Central Park! The book is only shown for a second or two but you do see the board after.
Skateboarding has got to be one of the hardest sports to be consistent and good at! Coming from a snowboarder that can hit 90% of rails and double backflip and more in the park! So fun to watch!
I love getting to my office job and eating breakfast to a new John Hill upload. Keep killing it dude, as a non skater.. I am a huge fan of anything you do.
I love skateboarding so much. I want to be this good one day but dont have the time, money, or health insurance, and i started way too late. 24, skating for 2 years, broke my collarbone twice. Id be too scared to get hurt to skate at a skatepark. Too scared to try an ollie with no insurance. Just broke my collarbone for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago and hit my head. Watching guys like you skate so well is the closest ill ever get to skating video games irl. Im extremely envious when i see guys like you doing grinds down and up rails and jumping down stairs. Keep inspiring.
I know this spot, that's the skatepark right next to Dorsey. John coming here to the hood is something I never expected but I'm glad. John, if you see this, you should go skate at Rowley skatepark in Gardena. It's a smaller skatepark in terms of size, but it's a great park for lines and ledges. It even has the flat bar you were looking for
that final 50-50 was impressive, fun video my guy. as someone from small town middle america i WISH my town could get like a quarter of this park, currently it has absolutely nothing. a long time ago it had a flat rail and 2 wooden quarters and they called that a skatepark, that was like 15+ years ago though
Always interesting seeing how park development has improved over the last twenty years. Parks built today are so sick and the one my city built us back in 2001 when I was 17 is sooooooo dumb, lol. Also, I think you mean "disproportionate," but I was following and see how goofy some of those obstacles are.
Front tail to fakie!!!! One of my favorites. I had them on lock and would pop out so good. The pop out was my bread and butter for that trick. Doubt i could even do a sloppy tail now. Havent skated in years
What do you mean. I posted skate tech terminology less than 24 hours ago on Facebook and tagged random skaters. 20hrs plus time zone lag.... naw skaters definitely be on timing.
Your videos always make me want to skateboard again. I think back in the day, they were trying to replicate dimensions of street spots - and that’s why it’s so big.
Dude, that oversized square rail-hubba thing down the 3-flat-2 is proper street level rail steez, it's huge!! Get comfortable on that and it should up your street rail game big time.
Wow, I forgot u; could sk8 like that: I would've liked to see a "flip trick" off the Manny pad(when u did manual down? 😅 But those obstacles are big! And your flow was on point.
If you ever come to the uk there is a really big skatepark i think one of the biggest in the world called oxhey skatepark it has some cool features i would say go look it up
Dude, you have no idea how good you've got it in SoCal. There's honestly like 5 good skateparks in the whole Bay Area, and you'd definitely call all of them gnarly. I skate transition, so I love them, but a really good plaza skatepark like that is rare.
Rob built a skatepark in city, Shreveport, LA The city stole half the money and made the worst excuse of a skatepark. Rob told them to take his name off it.
😂❤ I know my skate techs and I know when I'm supported. We know time lag is real and I've been talking about my skateshop for years lol. Let's reopen CT Bike. Make me manger! Aren't Renki from Skate8 the animation?
The real name of this park is “Rancho” and it’s in the heart of bps territory (bloods) like down the street from where training day was filmed do not go to this park alone or late at night.
Haven’t seen you for like a year or so. I seriously hope everything is okay In your life. I’m not trying to be rude or a dick I just oddly care you made me love skating again. But you don’t seem as uppidy as I remember I just hope mentally and medically you’re doing fine man. Best of wishes and I hope your career keeps taking off.
Could have been the lighting in this video but just what I saw and don’t wanna see another legend go down a bad road. Just know your fans care or subscribers or community everyone does care about you.
Kind of random but anyone reading this comment remember a place called the Burden Lake Bowl in upstate NY? Also known as the Albany pool or bowl. Legendary location
You guys have no idea how much it cost for excavation grading, rebar, concrete, building permits, labor, dump fees Tools, time steel for the rails. They build something to last forever. It has to hold up to the winter.
Thank you Rob Dyrdek for being a part of changing so many lives for the last 15+ years
Thanks to all the skatepark builders you guys should be given awards on a national level.
The consistency of this man is inspiring

I'm really enjoying having you talk to us as you skate! Thanks for sharing your skate adventures with us.
This was a whole Vibe in 2000s, they weren't trying to build skateparks. They were trying to build skate spots.

Your videos are one reason i started skating again after 2 years break 👍 keep on! Thank you!

Oh whaaaaat? That’s awesome

I also like this idea john
Jon I been watching your videos for a while now. You keep getting better and better bro. Don’t stop
Literally John is apart of my favorite TH-cam Skaters! (Andy Shrock) and SARA DIETSCHY is my favorite tech TH-camrs! (genius bar) 🧡
Skateboarding has got to be one of the hardest sports to be consistent and good at! Coming from a snowboarder that can hit 90% of rails and double backflip and more in the park! So fun to watch!
rancho locals baby, i remember when they built this park, my home! kept a lot of us safe tbh
Gojo shirt is too fire 😮💨 another great vid as always!
Thanks for really breaking down the elements of the park and explaining why they’re good, bad, or in between.
I love getting to my office job and eating breakfast to a new John Hill upload. Keep killing it dude, as a non skater.. I am a huge fan of anything you do.
Love the uploads coming up to christmas
Swapping my bushings with your videos in the background, much love from the UK:))
3:20 LOL. Was definitely not expecting that one in a John Hill video
You see that up manual pad you skated at 8:30 looks like so much fun.
Thanks for making these skatepark reviews. They do help with future design of parks and are a good reference material.

loving this park, it's like taking the street spots to a unique place
You’re actually a beast bro ! Keep it up 👌
Love the jazz in the background. Nice vibe compared to like metal or something. Love both, but the jazz is just relaxing, yet stimulating
I love these videos and you rip so hard

I used to be obsessed with that park haha. That one and Gardena
Salute J Hill, love your video's man.
I actually really enjoyed watching you skate here. The fs flip the 5050 the hard way we're nuts
Love Rob. He’s one of the people I look up to. In business and life.
Love your vids. Wish I knew how you get these parks essentially to yourself so often. Peace!
I usually show up around 7-8 am
that final 50-50 was impressive, fun video my guy.

The steeze was absolutely overflowing in this one. This was a dope watch!
Sqaurespace you say? Good, I plan on getting a business started very soon and this will help loads.

you are a super gnarly dude John. Keep it up my guy
This is nostalgic. I rolled my ankle at this park years ago and it never fully recovered. It’s only cruising for me now.
Front tail to fakie!!!! One of my favorites. I had them on lock and would pop out so good. The pop out was my bread and butter for that trick. Doubt i could even do a sloppy tail now. Havent skated in years

I agree with JH, not really into watching people jump off a 3-storey building but really do like more technical skating.
Wow, I forgot u; could sk8 like that: I would've liked to see a "flip trick" off the Manny pad(when u did manual down? 😅 But those obstacles are big! And your flow was on point.
I have never seen any footage of that park ever and now I know why.
If you ever come to the uk there is a really big skatepark i think one of the biggest in the world called oxhey skatepark it has some cool features i would say go look it up
Would’ve been hella gnar if you did front 50-50 pop over to fakie Manuel on the that down manny pad on the stair set
when you upload I go out of my way to buy breakfast and park up in my car for 10-15 minutes
the Gojo shirt goes crazy

Rob built a skatepark in city, Shreveport, LA

Found it thanks man
sick gojo shirt brother
Hi john hill i really love your videos❤ have a Nice day
Rob D is the man
$50K for that is a good deal!
We know you landed it first t bro you the best
man this would be a sick park for aggressive rollerbladers tbh
Certainly a nice park for the experienced homie. I prefer the smaller/easier obstacles, for now. :)
that park looks great for bmx riders
😂❤ I know my skate techs and I know when I'm supported. We know time lag is real and I've been talking about my skateshop for years lol.
Let's reopen CT Bike. Make me manger!
Aren't Renki from Skate8 the animation?
Which skatepark is this???? Since your in LA now like me this might be close to me??? Which park is it buuud?
Masterpiece
Is that Gojo on your shirt! where did you get the shirt?!?!?
The real name of this park is “Rancho” and it’s in the heart of bps territory (bloods) like down the street from where training day was filmed do not go to this park alone or late at night.
If only he could see Stoner Plaza in Shreveport LA 😂 Rob did that one dirty
You’re definitely gnarly John Hill
U should bring an umbrella with a small tripod to shade your camera
3:20 what did he say?? 😂
You are a pro, do it so easy. Keep in mind one trick takes years like gymnastic
Thank you
Continua com vídeos assim, muito bom de assistir

3:19 did bro just say what i think he said
Kind of random but anyone reading this comment remember a place called the Burden Lake Bowl in upstate NY? Also known as the Albany pool or bowl. Legendary location

You should skate Rob Drydek’s park in Ohio, just bring a paper bag to throw up in 😅
Come skate the park he built in Shreveport
Skating is feeling like the early 90s again. Everything has been shrinking.
I’m intrigued as to what philosophy you subscribe to in life. 🤔 Have you heard of radical non duality or Jim Newman? ☯
cement block are tight
So cool
This park is so ghetto and sketchy. Always candles and people getting shot here. I’d say try Harvard for something better.
this dood is the adam ragusea of skateboarding
Maybe it doesnt look right on camera, but there wasnt anything wrong with the run up for thay double set from my pov chief 😂
Cool park but yeah the stuff looks pretty high
Good video
Are you going to be at Victoria Texas Comic-Con bear margera is going to be there
Bro I would love to skate that all day everyday 🫣
It ain't no "Fantasy Factory". 😏
cool video bro
This man complains about him getting old and shit, but literally like two months ago he started doing parkour lol😂
YOU ARE MY SPECIALZ 🤞
i vote usa or worldwide skatepark tour
Average skater cant use 99% of this. Bad park.
More Dan Corrigan please! 🤔😂
Suburb ah, kick it wit some real ghetto skaters, all rich Starbucks groms in these vids
I guess they're training to put Sand in skateparks again. 😂
it’s built like the streets! cool idea as a training ground but for park skaters not the greatest
Hi John
