Dan blew up TH-cam! The internet is talking about this boy! God given talent! The miracle lives in your throat! .....and the hard work that got him this far!
I love that Dan keeps surprising you with his talent and versatility. I watched your reaction to 24 Dans singing Hallelujah yesterday and I’m still cracking up at your comments!😂 His wide array of musical interest and ability to perform them all so exquisitely is beyond astonishing. Dan has so many unique layers and each one is more impressive than the last. He is quite a gift to the world. P.S. Dan has 989K subscribers as of today….. he’s getting SO close to his dream and he deserves every bit of success that it brings!
Beautiful performance! I think that sometimes that when Dan sings with a female, he holds back some with his voice. If he really let loose, he would drown them out. Thanks for reacting to this.
I think completely opposite. Dan doesn't hold back - Ofcourse, in an opera duet, he's not going full out metal.... In every song duet I've heard him sing with women, he's given exactly what he's supposed to, and what the songs need, without holding anything back. The difference is, that he hasn't yet made pure metal duets with women, but even if he did, I'd bet he wouldn't hold back there either.
You wouldn't think it to hear her, but Rehn Stillnight fronts a gothic metal band called Nocturna. They've released two albums so far. Her singing partner is Grace Darkling, who's a mezzo-soprano. I'm sure you can imagine the harmonies! Glad you enjoyed this, a great version of my wife's favourite song.
What a beautiful collaboration. These two voices are simply breathtaking together (and separately too!). And yes, the visual production was perfect too! The whole video…. just lovely.🙌 Corey, I pronounced it Pie Jesus the first time I read that too…. I’m sure many people did. You can show your wife this for confirmation. Lol!😉😂
I just love Italy. I used to drive paper and stuff from Norway to Italy and vines and stuff home to Norway. This was in 1994 when I got my truck license. I loved that job. Driving a 50 tonner through Europe alone as one of two women who did that. I falled in love with Italian food, the people, their energy hehe and cursing. My dream is to buy a little house there in the south and stay there for the rest of my life. I love Dan Vasc’s voice and that he is every song that he sings. So by mixing Dan and Italian = goosebumps all over. Love from Norway❤
You did a FABULOUS job with this reaction, Corey! You are not alone in not speaking Italian, so probably at least 90% of the viewing audience, here (including myself, though I know enough of the Latin languages to understand SOME of the lyrics) are in the same boat, with this song. Here are the ENGLISH lyrics that I found. I find it quite interesting that even without them, the FEELING of what is being sung, makes it so that when I found these (after your reaction, not before), I realized that I kind of had an idea of what was being said, even though I didn't understand more than a few words here and there. This is because both Dan and Rehn have the ability to SHOW what they are saying, by their faces and their body movements. It's really very fantastic! - - - - - - - - - - LYRICS... FEMALE... When I'm alone I dream of the horizon and words fail; yes, I know there is no light in a room where the sun is absent, if you are not here with me. At the windows show everyone my heart which you set alight; enclose within me the light you encountered on the street. Time to say goodbye. -- I'll go with you to countries I never saw and shared with you, now, yes, I shall experience them. I'll go with you on ships across seas which, I know, no, no, exist no longer; it's time to say goodbye. -- with you I shall experience them. MALE... When you are far away I dream of the horizon and words fail, and, yes, I know that you are with me; you, my moon, are here with me, my sun, you are here with me with me, with me, with me. Time to say goodbye. -- I'll go with you to countries I never saw and shared with you, now, yes, I shall experience them. I'll go with you on ships across seas which, I know, no, no, exist no longer, BOTH... with you I shall experience them again. I'll go with you on ships across seas which, I know, no, no, exist no longer, with you I shall experience them again. I'll go with you. You and me. - - - - - - - - - - Now...how all of that can be INTERPRETED, is another story altogether! 😀 - - - - - - - - - - My family is (on my mom's side) Scotch-Irish and English, plus (on my dad's side) Polish. Because of those origins, I basically have NO true genetic ties to any one place, because the peoples from all of those places are already hybrids of just about any race. Basically, my mom's side would probably go back to Roman times, and my dad's side would be Germanic, and could have originally come from any mix of the countries that surround Poland. Also, both Mom's and Dad's families have relatives who came to The Americas on the Mayflower. So...then I married my David, who is also Scotch-Irish and English. HIS family is still prominent in England, and actually has regained the ownership of Wingfield Castle (the ruins), though not the land/full estate. We always have to laugh at our solid, now almost 41-year-old marriage, because HIS non-direct relative (through his father) is Captain Edward Maria (pronounced mah-RYE-ah) Wingfield. MY non-direct relative (through my mom's father) is Captain John Smith. If you search for: Edward Maria Wingfield online, grab the WIKIPEDIA article. It will explain the FEUD that occurred between our two families way back then, and even into "modern" times! TRUTH! Another of my non-direct ancestors (through my mom's mother) is Thomas Eakins, the renowned artist. (By non-direct, I mean that the persons mentioned were related closely to the actual people in their families that OUR families go back to by lineage.) - - - - - - - - - - SO...every time I hear Dan tell the story about his father's lineage (and therefore part of his own lineage), I remember spending time, when I was little, with my Grandma Shishnia, who would talk to me in Polish, AND swear in Polish sometimes. She was a WONDERFUL woman, who also presented me (for every birthday and every Christmas), with at least one jar of her home-grown and homemade Polski Wyrob (crunchy dill pickles). Since she passed away, I have never found any pickles anywhere, to match up with the flavor and texture of hers.
Those lyrics are deep for sure, probably a lot of different ways to interpret them! Family heritage is wild, you never know what you’re gonna find when you look back! That’s awesome about your grandma, our grandparents always had a garden and so many things we ate there were home grown and nothing could compare!
So beautiful and heavenly at the same time. A dream couple. Dan Vasc has a magic about him that does you good. ♥️. Thanks for sharing. It's always a pleasure to hear your pleasant reaction to my favourite singer. 🤘

I would really love for you to react to him singing the song A Tale That Wasn't Right by Helloween. In the outro he explains that he practiced that song over and over when first learning how to sing falsetto. He did a great job. I look forward to the next one.

At the windows
