It was a Juvenile Ghost Leviathan in this video. Thanks for letting me know ☺️ Also, should have used the regular arm. I learned that it does more damage. Got the Adult Ghost later: th-cam.com/video/PHnjIRGbF28/w-d-xo.html
Tip for those who want to conserve cyclops power but also waht to use the sonar : the sonar uses 1% of power with each scan. I reccomend learning to click it on and immediatly turn it off afterwards, sending in one quick scan which will cost 1% of your power. This will allow you to see how far away you are from the nearest object/obstacle. Wait a little while before launching another sonar scan. Just use it sparingly. If you're close enough to an obstacle then there is no need for sonar scan. Just use your lights. Also in lava zone have thermal power upgradr.
Hate to break it to you but that’s a juvie ghost, the adults can be found in the void, blood kelp, and grand reef. (The ones in the void are 15% larger than those in the blood kelp and grand reef, the ones in the grand reef and blood kelp are about double the size of the ones in the lost river)
@@Hobynist id recommend the easiest way to kill any leviathan, fill up your inventory with gas pods from the gasopods, then hit the ghost with the stasis and drop them on it. It dies in seconds but it’s a little cheap and this video is about the prawn so good luck with that.
If I remember correctly, the hull reinforcement only works with impact damage, and it does not help with the damage taken to the prawn suit as it does not take that damage even without it 🤔
To drill the Ghost Leviathan is a pain in the ass because they try to escape once they receive enough damage. The worst part of it is that they can phase through the wall. So, if you hook one DON'T LET IT GO, no matter what. Is a very long battle of endurance.
Yeah, all of the leviathans like to go through the walls. I´ve spawned a lot of them with console commands in the lava lakes, and especially the Sea Dragon likes to go into the walls. Had troubles keeping that one in sight when making this video. And the adult ghost leviathan is another story, when grabbing it with drill arm in open space it goes all around the map 😊
@@Hobynist Yersterday I drilled the GL of Lost River but escaped because I unhooked it (it was a long ride and I was very tired). I returned to my base to resupply and the bastard phased BELOW my base and proceeded to destroy my prawn. I will gas it today. The Prawn is fun to use but is not a combat mobile.
@@bondrewdthenovel3598 Wow that must have been quite a rare incident! Never had that happen to me 😊 Yeah the Prawn is not the best for that but it's a nice option

@@Hobynist Subnautica is really good but the creature swim ai and animations can be badly scuffed. Sometimes it looks beautiful others you see a reaper breach the surface only to just drop back in at a 90 degree anagle lol
Thanks! It was not that long. Maybe approximately 15 minutes per guy , the dragon was a bit faster because it´s not movingso fast and the hits with the drill go in more. And they didn´t respawn so it´s a one time job per playthrough I think.
@hobynist Hitting with the drill arm is the wrong way to go BTW. It does less damage than just punching them. Common misconception among the community.
@@lilyflower5895 ok but personaly im not getting out of the prawn suit to take off the drill arm if a damm leviathan is charging at me (i always have the drill arm equiped)
Imagine yourself in a situation: you are in the Lost River entrance with your Cyclops&Prawn. Suddenly there's a monstrosity on your way. Maybe you can get through with the cyclops, or you could find another way below. You could also return to the surface to get gasopods, or wherever they are. But it surely is now proven possible just to stay there, and do an easy kill with the Prawn and get rid of the problem ☺️ Just with the regular arm, not the drill 👍 and of course you will need one repair tool. Just don't go for the adult ghost leviathan, that is pretty tough!
Yeah I think so too. Someone might have mentioned that in the comments, so I tried that in the adult ghost leviathan video. Worked out OK 😊 can' t wait for subnautica 3!
Yes 😊 I did not know that when making the video. I was informed on a previous comment about this so I have another video on the adult. It was a bit tougher. Should have used the regular arm instead of the drill arm
Yeah for sure! I tried that in my playthrough to get past some of them. I wanted to try out the prawn suit, it was much slower with this. Worked best for the Sea Dragon.

I never knew the sea dragon had a biting animation 😮
Neither did I, but it´s amazing 🤩
Sooo true
I just found your channel, and you’re definitely a new creator to watch if you keep making subnautica content
That's nice to hear, thanks. Subnautica is always on my list so definetely yes I will be making those videos as well 👍

The adults are bit trickier with the prawn, been tryin it now a few times. They go all over the map

I would change out the storage module for hull reinforcement personally

That's a very good question 😁 I haven't tested it myself but the Internet says it has no effect with creature damage on the prawn.
