Mount Marcy - New York's highest point

- At an elevation of 5,343 ft, Mount Marcy is the highest point in both the Adirondacks and all of New York state. Mount Marcy is the 5th state high point I've visited on this road trip and the 15th state high point I've visited in the past two years. Not all state high points require a hike but Mount Marcy sure does. It's a 16 mile round trip hike to the peak and back with elevation gains of almost 3,600 ft.

Nice how long did the hike take?
It took 7 hours exactly. That's with only a small break at the top. Almost 16 miles and 3,570 ft elevation gain. I was pushing hard. Pushing hard for me anyway. 😀
