It's often the other way around, 40k took inspiration from a plethora of sci fi universes and built its own identity around that. GW has admitted to taking inspiration from the original Starship Troopers novel formula when creating the space marines and mad max when setting the tone

One mind syndicate is my bridge into the 40k universe. Other than playing some of the pc games, i have no experience in the 40k verse. The lore is so vast and deep, i love it. Often ill have these clips playing in the background. Love the lore, i always look forward to more!
History fact: "Princeps" is Larin for "The first citizen". To what we now we now refer as the Roman empire, in early years was called the Principality of Rome. Augustus was referred to as the princeps, for example, instead of the Emperor, though he held that title as well.
For a more visual and kind of visceral idea of a princeps/Titan relationship read Imperious Dictatio from the Warhammer monthly comics. In which a princeps (Macabee) is killed in action and a princeps cadet (Hekate) is put in to place during battle. No spoilers but it does explain the the titans ghost link better.
Agreed, they have the iron will needed to rein in the AI, and there are at least some who are already entombed in dreadnoughts, which is much the same as being placed in amniotic tank.
As i said, the tech used to implant a critically wounded space marine in a dreadnought is essentially the same as an amniotic tank, so i don't see why not.

This is something I think is caused more by digital communications being more prevalent than verbal. People just are not hearing other people SAY words anymore. Mispronunciation is rampant, I hear it on the radio, YT, fucking movies... People just don't talk that much anymore and so they only ever encounter words in text and never have a chance to say them and hear them to get corrected on their pronunciation...

Good question consider this...a knight titan requires alot to move it around buttons and lever alone cant get the job done as the power output is insufficient so thats where the piolt comes in...think of the piolt as a power source extension. The process is painful and almost permanent. The only example of a successful "driver" unit that can leave at will is Canis Rex/ Sir Hektur. Knight Titans are amazing. The Adeptus Mechanicus created the perfect embodiemnt of man/machine
