1852 Atlantic Hurricane Season Animation

The 1852 Atlantic Hurricane Season is the 2nd oldest AHS in the official HURDAT tropical cyclone record. Every tropical cyclone intensified into a hurricane, one of 3 seasons to do so. With likely more tropical cyclones that are unconfirmed, unreported or lack data. One also known as the “Great Mobile Hurricane of 1852” was the most well known and significant storm of the season when it made landfall near Mobile, Alabama at peak intensity. Hurricane Two “San Lorenzo” was the deadliest of the season killing at least 100 people. It was a season where every storm made landfall or at least affected land in a way.
