He is absolutely horribly wrong about Predator not dating well. Movie is a masterpiece.
Con air is stupid fun. One of my all time favs.
Everyone who loves it also know it's a terrible movie at the same time
This was fucking excellent .. I agree with Shea, Predator is a Mt Rushmore .. if it’s not, Commando surely is!!
Wild At Heart ,Raising Arizona,Joe,Con Air,Mandy,The Rock,Trapped in Paradise,Face Off
Connery is terrific in The Rock. He's terrific in everything. Were you all high recording this?😂
They aren’t the brightest guys
The Rock is a lowbrow guy movie doused with testosterone. It is only "great" in the unintentional comedy department. As for Connery, he plays Sean Connery. People love Sean Connery. It's why he's the best Bond. But he's mailing in this performance and typecasting is never ever a great performance.
He was not terrific in Highlander or the league of extraordinary gentleman.
Buschemi ‘Irony’ speech is the most rewatchable scene
Sally can't dance was also in a movie called "Hackers"
I love your work, you guys are consistently on point and hilarious. However, that being said... WHAAAATTTTT... just heard 'Connery is bad in The Rock'!!! It's one of, if not the greatest, roles in the second half of his career. I worked at a cinema the summer that came out, and me and my friends quoted him all summer. Then years later, got working in film and tv, and that one is a huge favourite among myself and several friends in the art department. We always cited that as one of his best. When he died, it was Last Crusade, Untouchables, Bond and The Rock that made everyone's top Connery performances... I can't believe you said that, haha... only time I think you've all been absolutely 100 percent wong. He's majestic in that movie and doesn't have a bad moment in the whole film, take it back!
They talk bout how bad Conner is almost the entire podcast and think its the best out of the rock and face off. They are tripping.
Does anybody else believe that Cameron Poe (Con Air) and H.I. McDunno (Raising Arizona) are twin brothers that were separated at birth?
My Nick Cage Top Three: Wild At Heart, Adaptation and 8mm. Honorable mention to Moonstruck.
I love this podcast!
Tom Hanks run, 1992-1995: League of Their Own, Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Toy Story
Con Air 2020, with some Rewatchables favorites in mind
Whichever Hemsworth = Cameron Poe
Baby-O = O'Shea Jackson, Jr.
Jesse Eisenberg = Vince Larkin
Michael Shannon = Cyrus
Chad Coleman = Diamond Dog (this could be Michael K. Wiliams if you want, but he isn't big like Rhames)
Garland Greene = I don't want to recast this, but MAYBE Daniel Radcliffe?
Bruce Willis = Duncan Malloy
Tyler, the Creator = Pinball
Owen Wilson = Swamp Thing
Pablo Schreiber = Billy Bedlam
Danny Trejo remains Johnny 23, of course
argument can be made that buscemi's apex mountain was the year before this, in Fargo (1996)
Walking through the gunshot is maybe too short a scene for most rewatchable, but man is it epic. Zero flinch. I feel like I would. also have zero flinch if I got shot my in shoulder. Me and Poe are just built different.
I agree with Bill, think most people over 40 know Monica Potter
Two of the nicknames are classic glam-rock album references: Bowie's Diamond Dogs and Lou Reed's Sally Can't Dance. Weird for a movie like this.
I probably enjoyed this podcast as much as I enjoy the film and I fucking love the film.
"Dear Casey" in Nicoloas Alabama hahahhah
Was he serious with that Epps comment lol
A Remake with Bernthal as Poe. That is a great movie!
I saw this twice at the theater lol
Steve Buscemi was Garland Greene in the movie
Im surprised the didn't mention that Cameron Poe killed the guy that played Waingro.
I would put Adaptation, Raising Arizona, Bringing Out the Dead and Matchstick Men ahead of this but Con Air is a very enjoyable movie.
However, my fav Nic Cage doing Nic Cage-isms, probably The Rock and Face/Off
Bubba Gump should win the " they knew " award
Is 2012 Lockout then the sequel to Con Air? Because it’s prisoners in space taking control of space station.
Ummmm Crouching Tiger, anyone?!
Was face off not made?
1:06:51 - max max: fury road
Snake Eyes is good
Bill! Renoly Santiago was Phantom Phreak in Hackers! What are you even doing?
Do kiss of death
Steve Buscemi Apex = Ghost World
The Hard Rock is not located ON the strip.
Face Off and Gone in 60 seconds
It's just dumb fun, just got off rewatching it. It wouldn't make his top 10, he's had a fantastic career
Omat Epps had Juice
Not even close. Moonstruck, Adaptation, Raising Arizona.
Con Air it's a meme. Raising Arizona, Mandy, Wild At Heart and Face Off are way better Cage's movies.
True…but are they more rewatchable?
Yet, in the Rewatchables episode of 'The Rock', Bill says that Sean Connery is the greatest thing, is a total badass, and won the movie. So weird and disingenuous to hear how he flips.
He says inconsistent and incoherent things all the time. The problem is, most of the time his fellow podcasters (most of whom worked or still work for him) so they tend not to disagree with him…
Snake eyes is a heater wtf are they smoking lol
Let's face it, this movie never gets named this if there wasn't a blow dryer company with the same name.
Dumb.
How do you basically talk about how bad this movie is the entire podcast and then think its the best out of The Rock and Face Off which are undeniably better movies than Con Air?
Tih coh tin not tuh kah tin
I want to like these so bad. But three nerds talking over each other and constantly laughing at nothing is brutal. So many times you can’t hear what anyone is saying.
Lol.....he barely had any muscle
Movie was wack...Bill is clown!
Youre the 🤡
