Without doubt my favourite way of fishing for carp, even over floater fishing. Something special about watching a float bob and weave before it rips away
This is how my grandfather learned me how to fish when I was seven. I'm 42 now and having fished for tons of species all across Europe, I still seem to enjoy this the most. So simple, yet so rewarding. I'm going out to teach my son how to fish on the float next week. Probably my favourite trip ever.
Great video Phil, enjoyed that. absolutely love this type of fishing, nothing better then watching the reeds twitching, dropping the bait in, gets the heart racing!
I caught most of my carp with lift method and paste. And after some years of bolt rig fishing with boilies I decided to go back to this. Works great!!!
So much more enjoyable than sitting behind buzzers .My kinda fishing. This and surface baits, I turned up at a lake once and all the other angles where at on end sitting behind three rods/boilies/bivis etc none of them catching. I walked to the other end, one rod ,landing net, loaf of crusty bread, found the carp, four doubles. Don't mind if I do, lol.
I fish like this for the bream on the canal they dont seem to swim away with the bait so a lift bite is perfect to see even with a abit of wind and movement of the water
a great video phil...fishing the lift for carp..i fished it in my teens and still fish it now...we call it catching carp the proper way in my neck of the woods...cant beat the buzz..ya get when ya hook em! tight lines .......
Love the video thanks. Did Phil consider using a hair rigged mini boilie and wrapping the paste around that to get less hook pulls? Works for me with Chub on a ledger so wonder if it would work with this method?
Hello Eddie, It was odd to suffer from so many hook pulls on this occasion? Maybe the jinx of the camera 😆 But a great suggestion, I've wrapped paste around a hair rigged cork ball before on a hair and it's worked well for Chub. Regards Phil,
Brilliant video, been trying the lift method recently, really interested if you have any links to the tackle you had in this video? Once again very good video Phil

You should keep things like that under your hat ❤ devastating.. I like to wrap my hookbait in boilie paste in the winter time when im single hook bait fishing. Ultimate attraction leaking for hours..
Excellent watch as always phill I’ll be giving this method a try for certain as I highly doubt it’s been used there before so could be a real winner, regarding the 10lb line is that floating or sinking
Thank you, after the 3rd hook pull I was nearly ready drive home 🫢😂 I guess it’s good to show the highs and lows of fishing and keep things real 👍 Regards Phil

Great vid - would be even better without so much background music. There seems to be an obsession with adding music to TH-cam films - it really isn't necessary. Listen to nature.
i fish the lift method, with paste,a 12ft road 6lb line on a centrepin reel, had 18lb carb on it,now that is fishing mate, but do like your videos, keep them comeing.
Without doubt my favourite way of fishing for carp, even over floater fishing. Something special about watching a float bob and weave before it rips away
Magical…proper old school fishing, I’ve been fishing this way for years…

The simple tactics are often the best 👌
An interesting fishing method. Great video! Fantastic fish size!
Now thats proper fishing for carp as it should be done! Excellent
Thank you Steve, glad you enjoyed the episode 😊
The best Carp ive caught have been fishing on the surface with light tackle.
10 to 15lb Carp are just so much fun.
Sounds like great fun 👌
Thanks for sharing, it brings peace to watch
Carp fishing on a waggler is just amazing so simple and so enjoyable
Fantastic video Phil this is my favourite way to catch carp . A few pellets in the edge a nice big earth worm for bait . Easy simple fishing
Glad you enjoyed the video 😊 Simple fishing is often the best fishing 👌
Regards
Phil,
Fantastic video, this is why we love fishing 🎣
Really excellent ,Phil ,you are a complete natural angler and presenter ,well done ,.
Hi Chris,
Thank you for the kind comment 😊, hope you're keeping well?

I like a quick change olivette instead of the shot/tungsten, works well and easily adjusted
Great tip 👍

Exciting, busy fishing 👌
Nice show buddy, would like to see another, but using a "Centrepin". (That's proper old school, & my favourite method)
Thank you ☺️
Maybe next time I'll dust the centrepin down 👌
Regards
Phil,

is it better to fish it on the bottom when the lake im fishing in have a muddy bottom
Awsome video Phil. I love waggler fishing i find it very theroputic watching my float catchin all mixd species on a nice hot day🎣
The only thing better than the appearance of a float is the disappearance 👌
(Quote from Chris Yates I believe)
Good luck with your fishing

Glad you enjoyed the episode Aaron 😊
Another great video Phil 😊
Excellent watch as always phill I’ll be giving this method a try for certain as I highly doubt it’s been used there before so could be a real winner, regarding the 10lb line is that floating or sinking
Hello Liam,
A sinking line is better as it prevents the float being dragged out of position in the wind 👍
Good luck
Regards Phil
Well done Phil this was absolutely rollercoaster, very very nice video to watch 🎉
Thank you, after the 3rd hook pull I was nearly ready drive home 🫢😂
I guess it’s good to show the highs and lows of fishing and keep things real 👍

Phil
Would be more exciting with a centre pin reel !
I nearly spooled the centre pin reel up with some 10lb line 😂
Maybe next time 💪
Regards Phil
Albert Buckley would be proud of you Mr spinks 😊
Hi Phil, nice to see you on again, you make my day 😊 I'm having to put the rods up for a while, doctors orders. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you for your kind comment again 😊, glad you enjoyed the episode. Fingers crossed you can get back on the bank again soon 🤞
Regards
Phil
What equipment are you using?
1.75lb tc Advanta Barbel rod. 10lb line.
Another great video in the specimen series.
Thank the Lord the background music for once didn't sound like someone singing on helium😊
Thank you Andrew. Glad you enjoyed the episode 😊
Not a fan of the background music
Can’t always please everyone with music choice, hopefully you enjoyed the fishing 🤞
Hi what is that rod you are using

Ur a great angler mate... But ur hook choice is the worst.. Stop using korda they are awful
What do you use, out of curiosity
Definitely not korda.
Nash twister much sharper and stronger
@@joeking57so what ya using ??
Kamasan

That sounds great fun Michael, I did contemplate taking the centrepin on this trip 😊
Glad you like Specimen Series
