Just being at one with nature is stunning, then watching Phil. Smashing super day, gosh my heads mashed these days Phil I was diagnosed with the C. But we press on your videos help so much you should do a fishing series Phil, trust me you would be the new john Wilson, go for it you'd smash it.
Eat SourSop fruit every day for a while and take the supplement! and then/or do huge long Fasts of more then 14 days usually to cue cancer! Or do it the other way round perhaps! Also supplements like Fulvic Acid Minerals has also been proven to cue it! Much more safer and natural then anything that the hospitals or Big Phama will give you!. Hope you get better soon.
Fantastic fishing. This is what summer fishing is all about when you want a few bites. I got to a similar pool as the first one when I want days like that. I do like a day on the slider for Bream.
Great video Phil! I subscribe to most of the angling brands for their TH-cam content. And your videos are our favourite. Keep up the good work, tight lines 🎣🙏
I've always enjoyed tench fishing. The baits, rigs and tactics are fairly straightforward and their behaviour is more predictable than carp. An added bonus is you're likely to catch several in a session. However, being by the water is what it's all about for me and any fish caught are a bonus. There's more to fishing than carp.
I have to agree with you on that Ben, whether float fishing, quiver tip fishing for chub or maybe surface fishing for carp....the moment you time the strike perfectly is a great feeling 😊 Regards Phil,
Dynamite baits used to do a GLM liquid which was devastating with luncheon meat for tench. Shame there aren’t more tench only venues, fantastic fish to catch.
Great stuff Phil, absolutely love Rockland mere it is indeed a treasure, but also enjoyed the session on the gravel pit reminding me that the slider is a lovely way to fish
"good cast Phil". I say exactly the same, except Jon. What a beautiful spot and outstanding Tench. Thank you for the tips. I'm off early tomorrow morning to fish solely for the tincas.....Also, I love your care with the fish. You to me are an excellent angler. Subbed instantly.
Another great video by the latter day John Wilson. From my two favourite venues, favourite swims in fact. But I get my gear from wensum valley angling 🤪🤪
Thank David, Being compared to JW is a huge compliment 💛 John was an inspiration and a friend. I'm sorry to hear about your shop choice 🤭😉 Good luck with your fishing Phil
Absolutely cracking video and my type of venue and type of fishing..just one question the last time i used a proper slider float must of been over 20 years. What would you say is generally the shallowist you could use the slightly float ?
Another great video, Phil. I also fish a slider a lot when float fishing for tench. I also fish this method in quite shallow depths as it makes casting so much easier. No swishing a long float over head. A simple underhand swing will place your bait exactly where you want it and the float will cock over where the bait has landed. Phil, could you tell me a bit about the distance of your droppers on the hook length?
Hi Robert, I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😊 Fishing the slider float definitely makes float fishing much easier at times 👌 We have filmed a separate QuickBite video explaining how I set up the slider in a bit more detail ⬇️ th-cam.com/video/m0Qz2qJk4fQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Mrp8V7uOfHuAQK4- Hope this helps? Regards Phil,
I was using an Advanta EVA luggage set. It can be used for tackle or bait. Makes the perfect bait station for a days float fishing 👌 www.anglingdirect.co.uk/advanta-eva-fishing-luggage-set?queryID=f06b255586469b5abb815c6c97dd75f3&objectID=104734&indexName=live_ad_uk_products Regards Phil,
How long is the hook link on the 2nd venue? I've only just started Tench fishing and have been using the lift method. Everything I've read recommends using a very short 2" hooklink.
Hi Grahame, The hook length when slider float fishing is normally around 18-24 inches. Having a small dropper shot 3-4inches from the hook helps improve presentation. I've filmed a separate video to help set up the slider float, I'll pop a link below ⬇️ th-cam.com/video/m0Qz2qJk4fQ/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps Regards Phil
@@AnglingDirectTV thanks Phil. I really struggle to get my head around using a hook link of that length, as in my head the tench could easily pick up the bait and swim around with it and spit it out without getting any indication? I'm assuming the olivette is on the lake bed and needs to be moved to register a bite. All that said, the sun is out and we're in for some lovely morning and evening sessions this week so I will give it a shot and see what happens.
The Olivette doesn’t sit on the lake bed, it’s there to cock the float rather than several bulk shot. Just the hook and last tiny shot are laying on the bottom, hence superb bite indication 👌 Regards Phil
Thank you Andrew, glad you enjoyed the episode 😊 I was probably being a tad heavy handed playing that first Tench on the slider 😯 They often make a dash for those over hanging tree's so was being "firm" 🤣 I'll give your video a look Regards Phil,
Thank you ☺️ There's a time and a place for both approaches in my opinion, but if I can catch Tench and crucians on the float it's such an enjoyable method 👌 Regards Phil,
Hi meskiukas, yep Phil show's his favourite baits in the video 👌 Guessing you hadn't watched that far before you commented? Hope you found the video helpful 😊

Amazing!!! Absolutely look the fact there are no carp and it’s a tench and crusian venue!!! 👏👏👏 who ever created this venue is my life idol!!!
Make a refreshing change to fish a lake with no carp 😊

Either a size 10 or 12 would be perfect.

Yes they do 👍
The correct way to catch tench so well done. People's insistence on legering for species like tench and crucians baffles me. Nice work.

How can it not have carp in it, but it has crucian carp?
Maybe I should re-phrase that, it doesn't't have king carp in it. Just crucians 👌
