- India, Delhi. I went to explore one of the most beautiful and largest masjid in Delhi - Jama Masjid (जामा मस्जिद का इतिहास )
Built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 and 1656, this truly is one of the most beautiful and largest mosques I have ever seen in my life. The courtyard can accommodate more than 25000 people. The mosque also has three domes surrounded by two minarets on either side of the mosque

You should visit religious places like Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara in Kelaniya, Jami-Ul-Ufar Masjid(Red Mosque), Kathiresan Kovil, Sikh Gurudwara in Colombo and National Basilica at Ragama if you're visiting Sri Lanka again.

Incredible, how many layers of history are in this city, Delhi. Perhaps 1000 years or more. I read It was founded by Turkish / Turkic origin people, and the later Mughal Empire is a variation of the name Mongol..

Not really. Delhi is one of the oldest cities in the world and records trace it back to atleast 3000 years with continuous inhabitation by various dynasties. However, the current standing monuments were built by Mughals, the existing ones were raised to the ground.The only structure that's left from Pre Islamic era is the Old Fort and ruins of 27 temples that were used to built the Qutub Minar complex and the Mosque next to it (Quwwat-ul-islam Mosque)

Please be sure to visit different places in different regions of India, land of diversity. all other countries are made on sameness but this is the only nation which has has been made on diverseness. every state would feel like a different country. in every 50 km dialects, foods, culture change in the country. jungles, deserts, mountains, beaches, volcanoes india has lot to offer . in india temperature ranges from -60c to 52c. though the north india has taken lot of battering from invasions over last 2500 years, the south still maintains some of traditional india's culture. North, south and north-east of the nation are completely different to each other.

Brother you need to visit the northeast part of India….you will feel like you are in Sri-Lanka with a hint of South-East Asian touch. The State of Assam in the northeast is famous for tea production. Maybe you could explore the wonderful tea estates. April is the best time to travel in the northeast plus there is a huge festival coming up there at that time.
