Your video will help me get it back together properly, I already see a rod I must have dropped that connects the throttle to the governor. Again, thanks for and excellent video.

Yes, idle adjustment screw that I set 1.5 turns out from seated initially and then did some fine tuning on the idle adjustment towards the end. I don’t think the end result was far off from the initial 1.5 turns. You can hear the rpm change slightly.
@@miguelroaming thanks for the reply man. I also got this exact pressure washer for free from a neighbor recently becuase it wasn’t running. Didn’t even bother cleaning the carb I got a kit with a new carb, gaskets, air filter, spark plug, fuel filter and fuel pump for 20$. Swapped everything out and it fired right up. New carb has a screw in that location just wanted to make sure it was idle adjustment in case I needed to mess with it at all since idk if the new carb has the rpm set correctly
Backfiring usually means running rich meaning too much fuel and not enough air. Did the air filter get wet or clogged for some reason? You can try removing the air filter and see if you get the same results. You can verify running rich by checking the spark plug. If it's black, wet or smells like fuel, you'd be on the right track trying to sort out the air restriction. It could also be a multitude of other things, but I like to start out simple.

I have the same power washer. It started backfiring and shooting out flames from the exhaust. Any idea what’s wrong with it?
