The back cover of the Raphael Micro-Series #1, Casey's first appearance, you can see Raphael and Casey coming down from a rooftop, and Casey is slowing his fall with an umbrella. I don't remember him using an umbrella other than in that one drawing. So it's a deep cut.
I haven't been able to find this Casey in any of my Targets, but I keep checking consistently and I hope I can snag him soon. This is actually what should have been the regular release, and the white shirt should have been the variant (the white shirt being based on the recent IDW recolors of the Mirage comics, since in the the originals he always wore red). But they released the "alt color" first just like they did with Renet. This does make me wonder if they'll release properly colored Foot Soldiers, Foot Enforcers, etc. after all the "shadow" blue ones they've released...
Love the passion and effort you put into your vids! I'm so thrilled to see the spotlight on the grittier Mirage side lately, the comic reissues, kickstarter rpg, & figures. The childish looking "Nickelodeon" logo on the box does a disservice to the grittier tone on these figures, but since NIck ALSO does more ADULT content these days, I think I can overlook it. Nice unboxing!

Yeah it's a weird one. I think they say "classic" as that's what most people associate with the Mirage Casey, but yes, you're right, in the original he was black and white, and the first coloured cover he was on, it was a grey shirt. Technically, there's a yellow shirt that pre-dates even that one (I think the TMNT RPG comic). I don't mind the grey shirt one, as there's too much red in the Mirage line already, but I think I might grab this one at some point.
I like the colors on this one. Hopefully this is easy to get at the Geek Out or otherwise. Have there been any updates on a Mirage April re-release, variant maybe? Wasn’t there a big NECA to-do in April about the Year of the April or whatever, but, so far, we only have that new cartoon version (which I love)

Mcfarlane has been wearing it out with the repaints for 10 dollars more here lately. I bought in for a few but I’m weary now, it’s gotten a tad out of hand unfortunately for that company. At least neca hasn’t done it quite as often
Do we know if the 4 Pack of the Turtles will ever go up online? I'd like to get into this line, but I still haven't seen those and I don't want to jump into Mirage until I can grab the Turtles.

Hatter, variants can get you, look at me I have all the Thing Macready figures. Last one hit my Target. Same guy but some tweaks in accessories and paint jobs. The box also got some artistic embellishments. Cinematic masterpiece. I did like the prequel. I hope I am not alone.🙈🙉🙊. Casey Rap, Play it again. Cuz Casey sez so😄✌️
I'm fine with variants, but I think it's kind of scummy that they released this one second. I hate when companies release a "corrected" version or the like. Sure, you can say they listened to feedback... but you can also say they knew they weren't releasing what people wanted, and wanted people to buy it anyway before buying the new version. Feels manipulative and anti-consumer. That aside, this figure looks mostly good. I just wish the red was more washed out. Looks too saturated to me.
@@anthonium. Honestly I have no idea. They also had the Creature from the Black Lagoon for the same price. It’s like the stores are just making up a price. There’s also a blank white sticker over the barcode on the bottom of the box. If I had to guess, these are supposed to be online only and got shipped to random stores which don’t have any proper sku to use in store so they’re just pushing em out asap. Completely pulling that outta my ass so I could be way off.

I just got my first Casey Jones, and found your video, amazing man, congrats.
This is the version I would put with the original mirage turtles. Having the swap out arms is a nice touch as well to makr it stand out more.

Black n white is really always been black n grey. Red is its "Color" outside of "black n white"
