You might wanna aim a bit higher man. This is cheaply made, and while that's not a crime, it's pretty obvious. And not in a satirical or even kitschy way. It's just okay.
For once, a fan film where you don't have to say "it was good for what it was." That was legit GOOD. It was actually great! Professional quality, and it has all the things a fan would want to see. Even for someone who's not an enormous Turtles fan, like myself, this was a blast and then some! In a just world, this would be the kickass pilot episode to a Casey Jones series.
This was awesome! Very well done. Metalhead at the end was a nice bonus and that post-credit scene was really cool. I think you all could do a nice job bringing our TMNT Amnesiacs, The Chronicles of Casey Jones comic to life.
What a show! As a die-hard Ninja Turtle fan, I had an absolute blast from beginning to end. My own Ninja Turtle cosplay could have used a few tips from your team! It's the perfect way to honor the incredible legacy that Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird have left us. This is a love letter to the Ninja Turtles franchise that will be cherished for generations. Simply amazing!

Casey Jones, definitely underrated.....glad to see there are Casey Jones fans out there doing him justice. Casey is definitely one of my favorites!! I love this video
Was at the premiere and it was absolutely awesome. All the tropes you love and all the fun of Casey Jones but with more depth into the mind of masked crusader off hours.
I love the fact that they show Casey LIVES on TV and it's amazing. Besides, I love the detail of the mask with the United States flag, it's a reference to one that he used because the other one he gave to Raphael to use as a prosthetic, because his face was burned with acid.
This is super cool. Some of it was done really well, a couple things felt a little off. Good casting, good vibe overall, dialogue was sold enough save a few super cheesy lines, I love Casey Jones and want to see more. The use of the smart phone was weird. I thought this was suppose to be the 90's and then April says "you went viral". That derailed the vibe for me. Smart phone tech throws part of the narrative off, but maybe that's just me. Could get into the weeds with this one. Choreography could use some help but it was good enough. This was more entertaining than most modern Hollywood/Netfilx crap. Good work.
Bruh! This is one of the BEST fan films I've seen in along time and it was a breath of fresh air! Not only that, but it's a clear example of nostalgia done right! They got Casey's personality down to the T! The got April O'Neal fighting along side him! They got a robot made by Donatello to fit into their budget & it works! Even the last fight scene in the film got me excited, and I damn near NEVER get excited. They got numerous references from other 80's films! They got Bebop & Rocksteady before they got mutated! They got 2 secret endings that have one with Shredder & one with Triceraton (with practical effects)! They even have an original 80's style soundtrack with a lead single and a music video for the lead single! And they didn't even need hollyweird to do it! If they had enough budget to make a series of this, I'd watch it! 🙌💯🔥
Thank you so much for all the kind words! We're so proud of our crew and the love everyone poured into Live Wire. TMNT is something we all grew up with and it means a little something different to everyone. It's so awesome to see the community connecting with the film (and all the easter eggs!) A Casey spinoff show sure would be RAD!👻
April fighting worked well, too; It didn't feel like she was being made into yet another dime- a- dozen "Invincible Amazonian girlboss" type! I mean, A) After all the times in the past that she'd needed to be rescued by the Turtles and Casey, it makes sense that she'd start pursuing some self- defense training. B) Her using that tazer/ stun- gun to augment her fighting also made sense, especially when it became clear to her that their opponents were robots. C) (This is what really helps separate her from those obnoxious "Invincible Amazonian girlboss" types) We actually see her taking a hit now and then!
Also gotta say this is my favorite incorporation of mirage comics Casey being a fan of action movies. Hell yeah to him imagining himself as rambo, robocop etc. April's "you know i hate flies" had me giggling like mad, esp as a Baxter fan glad to see him get a nod
Thaddeus Manning here, Thank you so much for this awesome Fan Film and for featuring me in the credits. Much love and respect! Looking forward to the sequel!
Ok, I’m not surprised at how good this is, I am shocked! Jokes that landed perfectly (This guy’s an idiot. Subscribed!) production value that immersed, acting felt natural, and set design were all very impressive! One critique I could give is that the action needs a bit of polish, but the more in the film you go the better it gets. You should all be very, very proud of your work!
Dude, I just now found my favorite summer movie and it's independent short here! I watched this twice and... it's definitely true to the spirit of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I've seen plenty of Casey Jones fan films but yours is definitely fun, action packed, has comedy in the right places and time... I LOVE this fan film. I absolutely do! And the soundtrack by Wolfgrave... PERFECTO, BELLISSIMO! You have captured a retro vibe which blends the 80s and the modern era! I will be watching this movie over the summer blockbusters coming out within this month... Seriously, you did a kick-ass job!
Wow thank you so much!! We love crazy Casey but knew he needed to have heart as well. We grew up loving the classic era films and this was our homage. And thanks for noticing the music too 🎸 You rock 👻
Thx for making this. It makes me very happy to see independent art like this. It's inspiring. Great fight scenes, montages and cool effects. Can't wait for the next one!
This is awesome. I loved Metalhead's appearance at the end. Nice. I'm with Casey after seeing that laser attack. "Holy Shit!" Also, I noticed that teaser with Shredder at the end. Also really cool.
Not bad at all!!! I always had a dream of making a tmnt prequel specifically about the rise of the foot in America, it never occurred to me to include Casey Jones. I'd wish you luck but you don't need it, this is by miles the best fan fic/sequel prequel for comics stuff I ever saw on TH-cam. Of course, that's not a great compliment, but I'm really impressed. This not taking itself too seriously set's the right tone t9 overlook the limitations, but even still, everything about this is top notch and way ahead of all the other things in the same league I see on here.
Thank you! Our team had so much fun making Live Wire ⚡️ We think Casey has a ton of potential and are glad we can finally share this project with fans👻 FUN was totally top priority.
Holy crap, just when I thought I caught all the fan refs turns out there's a bunch I missed. Still can't get enough of that soundtrack either. Will prolly play it til my ears bleed. Goongala!!
This is brilliant on so many levels! The characters, the fight choreography, the pop cultural nods, all of it! I love that after Casey takes that shuriken to the head in the climax, we then afterwards see the little gouge- mark it left in his mask! Amazing attention to detail!
So good! I love the Easter eggs in the video game end credits. Like the high score being 041985 (Casey's first appearance was April 1985). And the street name being E Laird St (a nod to creators Eastman and Laird). Alexander St seems to be a dedication to one of your "In Memory Of" folks? Related to the producer? Anyway. I'm sure there's more, those are just the ones caught.
Glad you caught those!! Alexander/Decatur (due to the perspective, you cant reeeaaallly tell) is a nod to an album from Wave MMLZ, the rapper who is playing during the animation. There are a few more easter eggs throughout the sequence btw! Some deep cuts.
That’s all we wanted to make was something that felt nostalgic and didn’t take anything too seriously. Just wanted to make a fun adventure and follow what we thought Casey and April would be doing a couple years after meeting the TMNT bros!
WE LOVED THIS SO MUCH. The music, the comedy. the special effects, the combat, the SCRIPT??? What??? I don't know how y'all pulled this off, but I absolutely need more. When do we get to see the next one??????
This has been our love letter to the fun action films of the past! Though our crew was small, and budget tiny, everyone involved really poured their heart into this. Thank you so much for checking out the film 👻 Hopefully we can continue Casey’s adventure in the future!
This is awesome! Excellent job!!! Definitely adding to the crowd funding if you guys do more. Hope to see more from yall! Ps using New York Groove was a lovely touch
Thank you for the great content. This was awesome to see and faithfull to the source material and we can see the love that was put on this project. Thank you :)
This came out awesome. It's nice seeing all of your work finally come together. Sorry I couldn't be there for the original opening. I really wanted to be there.
Love that Casey Jones uses his Metal Bats, his Rambo look and was tempted to use a Gun but never used one ever (also i feel like an idiot for not noticing bebop, rocksteady and vernon too)
@@ShatteredLimitYT The "Alexander" street sign, the "Make Music Live Zen" tag, AND ESPECIALLY that Alexander Decatur album poster on the wall! So awesome to see Wave getting that kind of attention.
I couldn't be happier with this :) such an awesome collaborative project and im proud of the entire team. Definitely hoping for more adventures with Casey
the two guys in the barcade fighting Casey Jones are supposed to be the pre-mutated Bebop and Rocksteady, awesome!

Fully agreed!
Such an awesome touch.
If I were Nickelodeon, I’d give these guys enough freedom and budget to make this a show for Paramount Plus.
