Probably my second favourite fight in the DLC so far, only losing out to Bayle which is up there as a favourite in the entire series. In terms of difficulty I'd say Messmer is easier than Rellana and Bayle to no damage, but I really enjoyed the fight overall. The only odd thing was that the second phase felt significantly easier than the first, despite being more of a spectacle.
Build: 2x Blood Great Stars +25, max strength and dex, 43 arcane. Scadu +13. Ritual Sword, Claw, Green Turtle and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia talismans. Raptor's Black Feathers cloak. Cragblade and Royal Knight's Resolve ashes of war.

his second phase is just so ..chaotic

In a fort, east before messmers castle underneath it, you can find marikas great rune, which looks exactly like messmers eye he broke. It gives 80,000 runes so theoretically he popped a great rune to level his character to enter phase 2 😂😂
These videos are pretty misleading. You do a lot of damage to poor Messmer. Does no one care about him? Smh
