Furnace Golem being designed with crit mechanics in mind is what makes it basically unstoppable in boss v boss battles, as bosses cannot crit each other. I wouldn't be surprised if the final DLC boss couldn't beat it, either.

The final boss of dlc beats bayle as well. Also, If malenia proc rot with her first aeonia, she'd probably win as well. Malenias rot is just insane, and if she procs it on her opener, she beats even the dlc final boss. If she doesn't proc rot, she gets her face fucked, or sometimes it's a tie where rot takes them at roughly the same time, like the tie in this video, or even after. Seriously, her rot chunks like 1.5cms off a healthbar per tick, it's disgusting.
This boss is really cool! I love that super jump he does at the start, no way to move away from him. Those giant snakes coming from the ground reminded me of the Shadows of Yharnam.

Meaning despite still sharing the same body, whether it was always the case, or they did manage to separate for a time, they're no longer thinking the same way. Should also be said, Radagon is essentially a tool of the Greater Will, while Marika is the true vessel. Its why he stands before you, and why the roots would not budge. Radagon was still there, he was STILL the "Lord Consort" and he refused to hand over the crown of Elden Lord to you or any other Tarnished. The giving and taking of Grace is Marika's ability, not Radagon.

I just finished my first playthrough of the dlc on ng+2. I actually got Messmer in 4 attempts, he's not too bad. His attacks are very easy to dodge in second phase. Radahn took me pretty much a whole day though.

I think all the normal bosses should get the scadutree scaling too(not actual tier scaling of the base game so they dont end up overtuned) when they are fighting dlc bosses. The dlc scaling is based on scadutree progress and scaling soo much that all dlc bosses have both ultra high hp and dmg compared to base game bosses it makes the matches ultra one sided. We as tarnished lose our scadutree benefits when we leave the shadow realm to prevent base game from becoming ultra easy so why dont we make base game bosses scale with scadutree when they are fighting dlc bosses to make things more balanced to a degree.

You should really do Messmer at ng+7 or 8 like I'm on right now. It is INSANE how hard it is. Without the others and my mimic tear there is no way I could survive any of these bosses. Two hits and sometimes 1 hit your are toast with 3000 HP. The flame dragon is another who has insane amounts of HP. It took me 20 minutes to kill it and that is with my mimic tear being a punching bag because mimics seem to not know how to fight a damn dragon lol. I counted 70 hits it took to kill the flame dragon and that's with me doing 1000 damage to 1100 damage with blasphemous blade.
I love how relatively close the two mainly fire based DLC related demigod great spear users were to one another, that's fun. also, Messmer tying with NG+7 Malenia is crazy, shows how ridiculous the DLC is.

Beat messmer this morning and he is easily my favorite boss of all time the music and vibe when we first get to the second phase with that giant snake move, thats when i knew he was special.

Yeah lore wise the dlc bosses would have been much weaker, obviously they had to buff them because we would be much higher level but its still weird seeing Messmer low diff radagon. And they were buffed to new game 7😭
