i may or may not have forgotten about the dragon communion seal at first and was stubborn with upgrading my lil finger seal
By the way, just for future reference, shabriri's woe doesn't actually increase the amount of aggro you attract, aggro is kind of like a stat buildup and once it procs the boss will attack you a certain number of times, and shabriri's woe just increases the number of attacks the enemy does, the 3 ways to build up aggro are to attack the enemy, be in the enemy's preferred attacking range, or to be inside of the enemy's aggro circle.
I wish it made enemies attack you without you having to attack them, it'd make aiding hosts during boss fights a lot easier

Are you sure about this? I used it against gaius with only the fingerprint Stone Shield and he almost exclusively attacked me when my two friends were jumping him
@@MrMathman13 pretty sure at least, might not work exactly how I worded it but I worded it to make it easier to understand, it's probably more of a state than a status effect

Poison moth flight is better for poison rot builds, tpfbt removes rot and procs the damage immediately but the problem is the hp% damage is completely ignored making the best part of rot wasted
@@whatthewhatthe9117 it also requires you to stand still awkwardly and has very low range, I love how this new one works. PMF does look at the % of dmg? Can always keep that one for poison consume

I knew that there were different forms of rot. Like the weapon version is the worst. But it’s funny the best version is apparently on the dog.
Just as there are two versions of poison, the standard one and deadly poison, and two versions of sleep, standard and eternal, there are two versions of rot. There's Scarlet Rot, the weaker version, and Aeonian rot, the stronger version.
@@firekeeper1870 There are about 8 billion different types of rot lol. All of the sources have different damage values based on percentage of health they take off + a flat value. The scarlet rot dog is notorious for having one of if not the the largest rot damage values. Doggo is in fact best boy.

Well he honestly is. His dragon heart is different and has lore just like the remembrances. I think it’s more fitting thematically for it to be a dragon heart cause you don’t go to boring round table to get the items but instead you got the biggest dragon in a fromsoftware game
Well, why not give the heart and a rememberance? The heart could be used an incantation that's similar to placi's ruin, and for the rememberance you could choose between a weapon (maybe a scythe in the shape of his wing?) with his fire lightning incant as an aow, and something else, like a talisman or a dragon cult incant for his flame lightning.

Being somewhat of a "stereotypical" girl in gaming, seeing Rotten Butterflies be added to the game made me want to make an entire build around it. Romina's poleblade, rotten butterflies, full Malenia outfit and... The struggle was real. WHY DID U MAKE THE PRETTY SPELL SO SHIT FROMSOFT I HATE YOU

Lucky for you it just got buffed and is now one of the better incants in the game! So glad this spell is at least decent now.

I was watching this while playing bloodborne. Gave me motivation to continue, "if this guy can beat a dlc with only rot, I should be able to beat this game."
Your determination is commendable. These challenge runs are fun to watch, but I don't think I have the patience to do them myself. 😅 I noticed you like to kill the Night's Cavalry in Dragonbarrow for runes, so I thought I'd share an even easier strategy than the one you've been using. Across the bridge he patrols (more easily accessed from the Bestial Sanctuary side), there's a large root near the rock face on the right facing the bridge that you can stand on. Equip a bow for aiming and a couple of kukri; throw one at the pillar to attract the Night's Cavalry, and then throw another at the top of the branch that curves toward the bridge. The Night's Cavalry will follow the kukri and plunge himself into the ravine below. Hope this helps!
Oh, I also wanted to add: I wonder if the Iron Jar Aromatic would be helpful for getting the full cast on Rotten Butterflies. 🤔I bet you could do that until the enemy is rotted and then use the Poison Flower Blooms Twice Ash of War to deal a significant burst of damage.

If your wondering why the rotten stray builds up more it's because it has 3.3% max health damage per second instead of the usual 0.33% Scarlet Rot. I don't know if that's a bug or not because the only other thing to do 3.3% in base game is Malenia herself. Still trying to figure if the dlc has more 3.3%.
kinda surprised you didn't fight malenia to get scarlet aeonia, it rots in one cast and has massive hyperarmor, i did a similar run using that incantation and a greatshield

@@chonker9228 rot breath's physical damage is a potential route if you wanna give malenia the romina rule
@@ZomgLolPants Unlikely, quite possibly impossible. I believe Malenia isn't just immune to rot, but actually heals off of it if you proc it. Same with poison if I recall. So you'd likely simply get outhealed if you attempted to use the Dragon Incantation.

I'm sure somebody has said it, but I looked at the first 20ish comments and didn't see it, but if you team up with Leda in the Shadow Keep to kill Hornsent, he won't show up in the gank fight. Might make it easier on later challenge runs.

Post butterfly buff it's actually great against final boss if used with the right timing. It'll carry you into his phase 2, then when he grabs a summon if you use 2 butterfly's against him you can just wait it out
The poison flower blooms twice AoW “detonates” poison/rot, supposedly dealing all its damage plus extra at once. Rot might still do more damage if you let it play out, it still needs some testing

Really cool run. I dont see why people would get upset if the weapon naturally procs rot. Seem within reason to me. Really fun to the creativity the game creates with a challenge like this.
Little fun fact but I couldn't be wrong but I'm pretty sure the blue dancer charm stacks with rot breath because its a physical attack I don't know how rot breath does physical damage but it does so maybe you could squeeze a little extra damage out

An advice i have used and i think you could used, use the mimic when equipped with a talisman and only the scarlet rot spells. He will only use it.

Honestly the craziest part about this is that, when you beat radahn, the dlc basically goes into new game plus mode. All the enemies and any remaining bosses are buffed. Wild that a buffed bayle is easier than an unbuffed radahn lmao
I'm currently running a Flower themed build so it's encompassing scarlet rot/bleed/perfumer/poison/faith. I had to use *other* methods to acquire everything. I couldn't play the whole game to get it all just so i could do the run as the finalized character in NG+. So kudos to you for torturing yourself to do this lol. Great video!
The hefty rot pot saved my bacon in the Consort Radahn fight. In fact, he was in meteor form, bearing down on me, when he died in midair! It was glorious! I’m very impressed by the sheer number of attempts you made at some of these fights. 119?! After about 30, I’d be thinking there’s no possible way, but you persevered. Nice work! 🖖😀

You could’ve used mimic tear and he would’ve thrown your pots infinitely. They never run out of what’s in your equipment slots so the pots he throws would never run out. Great video love these challenge runs. I think you could’ve gotten away with a weapon that adds rot but the challenge makes it even more interesting
i would recommend use ezykys decay(idk the exacat spellings), you basically get it from killing that dragon near the church of dragon communion i think

Malenias incantation has honestly been carrying me in the dlc lol

There is also a rot dagger in the base game, but it does take a fat minute to get to. Some where over by the rot lake in the underground

A bit more seriously, Antspur Dagger or more likely the Scorpion's Stinger could've been an easy tool to use for the Sunflower crits. I see you did get it later, heh.
P.S. Golden Vow and maybe Braggart's Roar on some weapon would've probably helped with surviveability.
You could have use roar medallion and flame grant me strength to make your rot breath even more stronger basically it’s rot build up is good but even still it’s damage can be crazy without it

I feel like reallocating flasks to mana and grabbing Heal From Afar to then use rot breath more, over Antspur Rapier for Romina would've made more sense. Regardless it seems like a fun challenge/playthrough! 😄

You don’t need to fist attack the flower - it will transition after a few seconds
true, but i believe when it does it spawns at full hp and i needed all the damage i could get.

I did rot Consort with Scarlet Aeonia in my actual DLC playthrough, because I thought it was funny, I had to time the flying animation so he misses with his swipes. Was kinda easier than fighting him normally.
Totally shouldve nicknamed the rot dog, "Hot Dog", due to his spicy nature.

I'm curious why you didn't do the jumping cast of Rot Breath ever, would have been good to ignore those finger creepers, and any other ground AOE while getting damage in
This is a really awesome idea for a run, really forces you to learn the boss movesets when you're sitting there and waiting for them to die of (absolutely not) natural causes. Shame it's only Rotten Stray, Finlay (with certain moves) and Mimic (in certain cases) that can cause Rot for the summons. As for the day, it's DAMN hot in Boston. It's been like, 95 for 2 weeks. Really hoping that doesn't keep up.

Melanie isn't immune like another rot goddess is and she gives u scarlet aeonia which I'm pretty sure can't be cancelled out of during the descent and gives a few s. Maybe ironjar.
edit: I'm making too many edits. Got Radahn down by having rotten breath on my bar and hefty rot pot. The mimic threw it. Then got him again with the 2 summons. Rot is extra strong when there's summons cuz it's %hp dmg and the bosses get more hp the more npcs there are. Could also just get 2 cooperators and one of them to carian sovereignty him twice.

also you can kill hornsent pretty early before fighting messmer so he won't show up at the gang fight
I think you could have gotten antspur and poison flower blooms twice fairly easily to make your run a bit faster. The rotten butterflies got buffed with hyper armor and increased rot built up but you should have went with the pole arm (which also got buffed).
Oh and I beat Rahdan with poison flower and antspur the first time I played. I think I have a recoding of it on my channel if you’re interested.

The new poison support is pretty strong, just with the poison flower blooms twice , you have a realy boosted burst damage , and a poison reset
@@xernashbut that would add rot into the mix aswell, as the slap applies rot.
So you woild probably have to go for the poison moth flight AOW instead.

You should redo the magic challenge, because you missed a lot of schools of sorceries, like the dragon communion, and the Gelmir school, and half of the carian magic in the game a of different schools.
