By the way, just for future reference, shabriri's woe doesn't actually increase the amount of aggro you attract, aggro is kind of like a stat buildup and once it procs the boss will attack you a certain number of times, and shabriri's woe just increases the number of attacks the enemy does, the 3 ways to build up aggro are to attack the enemy, be in the enemy's preferred attacking range, or to be inside of the enemy's aggro circle.
Are you sure about this? I used it against gaius with only the fingerprint Stone Shield and he almost exclusively attacked me when my two friends were jumping him

Well he honestly is. His dragon heart is different and has lore just like the remembrances. I think it’s more fitting thematically for it to be a dragon heart cause you don’t go to boring round table to get the items but instead you got the biggest dragon in a fromsoftware game
Well, why not give the heart and a rememberance? The heart could be used an incantation that's similar to placi's ruin, and for the rememberance you could choose between a weapon (maybe a scythe in the shape of his wing?) with his fire lightning incant as an aow, and something else, like a talisman or a dragon cult incant for his flame lightning.

These challenge runs are fun to watch, but I don't think I have the patience to do them myself. 😅 I noticed you like to kill the Night's Cavalry in Dragonbarrow for runes, so I thought I'd share an even easier strategy than the one you've been using. Across the bridge he patrols (more easily accessed from the Bestial Sanctuary side), there's a large root near the rock face on the right facing the bridge that you can stand on. Equip a bow for aiming and a couple of kukri; throw one at the pillar to attract the Night's Cavalry, and then throw another at the top of the branch that curves toward the bridge. The Night's Cavalry will follow the kukri and plunge himself into the ravine below. Hope this helps! Oh, I also wanted to add: I wonder if the Iron Jar Aromatic would be helpful for getting the full cast on Rotten Butterflies. 🤔I bet you could do that until the enemy is rotted and then use the Poison Flower Blooms Twice Ash of War to deal a significant burst of damage.
If your wondering why the rotten stray builds up more it's because it has 3.3% max health damage per second instead of the usual 0.33% Scarlet Rot. I don't know if that's a bug or not because the only other thing to do 3.3% in base game is Malenia herself. Still trying to figure if the dlc has more 3.3%.

I'm currently running a Flower themed build so it's encompassing scarlet rot/bleed/perfumer/poison/faith. I had to use *other* methods to acquire everything. I couldn't play the whole game to get it all just so i could do the run as the finalized character in NG+. So kudos to you for torturing yourself to do this lol. Great video!
Little fun fact but I couldn't be wrong but I'm pretty sure the blue dancer charm stacks with rot breath because its a physical attack I don't know how rot breath does physical damage but it does so maybe you could squeeze a little extra damage out

kinda surprised you didn't fight malenia to get scarlet aeonia, it rots in one cast and has massive hyperarmor, i did a similar run using that incantation and a greatshield
@@ZomgLolPants Unlikely, quite possibly impossible. I believe Malenia isn't just immune to rot, but actually heals off of it if you proc it. Same with poison if I recall. So you'd likely simply get outhealed if you attempted to use the Dragon Incantation.

The poison flower blooms twice AoW “detonates” poison/rot, supposedly dealing all its damage plus extra at once. Rot might still do more damage if you let it play out, it still needs some testing
Post butterfly buff it's actually great against final boss if used with the right timing. It'll carry you into his phase 2, then when he grabs a summon if you use 2 butterfly's against him you can just wait it out
The hefty rot pot saved my bacon in the Consort Radahn fight. In fact, he was in meteor form, bearing down on me, when he died in midair! It was glorious! I’m very impressed by the sheer number of attempts you made at some of these fights. 119?! After about 30, I’d be thinking there’s no possible way, but you persevered. Nice work! 🖖😀
You could’ve used mimic tear and he would’ve thrown your pots infinitely. They never run out of what’s in your equipment slots so the pots he throws would never run out. Great video love these challenge runs. I think you could’ve gotten away with a weapon that adds rot but the challenge makes it even more interesting
I feel like reallocating flasks to mana and grabbing Heal From Afar to then use rot breath more, over Antspur Rapier for Romina would've made more sense. Regardless it seems like a fun challenge/playthrough! 😄

if you talk to the priestess she gives you a buff called Ancient Dragon's Blessing that you can use, it negates all damage types by 10% for 70 seconds!
Honestly the craziest part about this is that, when you beat radahn, the dlc basically goes into new game plus mode. All the enemies and any remaining bosses are buffed. Wild that a buffed bayle is easier than an unbuffed radahn lmao

I love going in and killing radahn with hand of malenia, scarlet aeonia, and now rotten butterflies, and just giving him ptsd from his previous encounter with malenia hahaha. I love thinking that he's having flashbacks and traumatized lol. Also he's just hella weak to rot. Pretty much everyone is. That might sound mean but radahn is so annoying and this is a way to end him easily. Also "rot-weiler" 😂 that was pretty clever. Never heard anyone see that before in reference to the rotten stray ashes. Edit: I hated rotten butterflies when I first used it at the games release, I was so disappointed cause it was awful. But I started playing it again a couple weeks ago and I'd heard it got a patch along with rain of fire, another terrible but potentially amazing spell. Upon trying them both they are definitely way better than they were. They do really good damage now. Rotten butteflies does big damage on some enemies and almost always rots them. Of course scarlet aoenia is still better.
I did rot Consort with Scarlet Aeonia in my actual DLC playthrough, because I thought it was funny, I had to time the flying animation so he misses with his swipes. Was kinda easier than fighting him normally.
I'm curious why you didn't do the jumping cast of Rot Breath ever, would have been good to ignore those finger creepers, and any other ground AOE while getting damage in

This is a really awesome idea for a run, really forces you to learn the boss movesets when you're sitting there and waiting for them to die of (absolutely not) natural causes. Shame it's only Rotten Stray, Finlay (with certain moves) and Mimic (in certain cases) that can cause Rot for the summons. As for the day, it's DAMN hot in Boston. It's been like, 95 for 2 weeks. Really hoping that doesn't keep up.

Weird idea. Purifying crystal tear is useable with one of the explosive tears. When this happens you actually throw your physick and if it hits Mohg he only heals 25% of what he would have, but you take the bleed damage.
i would recommend use ezykys decay(idk the exacat spellings), you basically get it from killing that dragon near the church of dragon communion i think
Rominas scarlet butterfly spell is so weak, its a remembrance boss spell, it should be great. She is literally the saint of the bud, the creator of scarlet rot.
I think you could have gotten antspur and poison flower blooms twice fairly easily to make your run a bit faster. The rotten butterflies got buffed with hyper armor and increased rot built up but you should have went with the pole arm (which also got buffed). Oh and I beat Rahdan with poison flower and antspur the first time I played. I think I have a recoding of it on my channel if you’re interested.
Thanks wasn't sure if it ran out during phase transitions or whether the triggering rot determines the dmg There's a dung npc and shackle for mohg so if u have the time he won't be that bad. Melanie isn't immune like another rot goddess is and she gives u scarlet aeonia which I'm pretty sure can't be cancelled out of during the descent and gives a few s. Maybe ironjar. edit: I'm making too many edits. Got Radahn down by having rotten breath on my bar and hefty rot pot. The mimic threw it. Then got him again with the 2 summons. Rot is extra strong when there's summons cuz it's %hp dmg and the bosses get more hp the more npcs there are. Could also just get 2 cooperators and one of them to carian sovereignty him twice.
Wow, what a tough challenge and congrats on that! I certainly take nothing away from you having to use your fist to move the tree avatar onto the next phase. Question though, how did you get so many hefty rot pots? I thought there were only so much of the ingredients available or do they respawn and so can be farmed?
both the ingredients are farmable, i used the village of flies to farm for the fly mold and the scarlet bloom had a farmable spot just before romina you can swoop it and grab a couple then teleport back to grace and repeat there were many hours of me just killing flies because the drop rate can be horrible LOL
@@curtisthecactus Thank you, Curtis! FYI, there's a fly mold bell bearing called Moldmonger's Bell Bearing and after turning it in at the Twin Husks, then you can buy fly mold for 2500 runes a pop. Pretty pricey but better than farming. :)

Since the first time we've seen the hefty pots, I'm in love with them (I find them really funny). So I've implemented different kinds of hefty pots for my main character (no matter what build it's running), mostly frost for the bosses. But the hefty rot pot is crazy. Radahn is easier with it, because he gets damaged even during his freekin' long combos. GJ on the vid, just one question, why did you exclude Romina's spear? Isn't that procs rot as well? Also, I wish we would have rot perfume bottle as well (it would make a perfume build valid).

Poison flower has higher DPS which is what is important. I was able to detonate back to back is seconds instead of having to wait forever.

I had to cheese him with zamor ice storm in the corner spot. I'm on ng+ and I'm gonna try and beat him without a cheese this. Keyword "try" haha. We'll see how I feel after 10 or 15 tries lol. Edit: what is this bayle buff you keep mentioning? I heard it in the last video and this one and I've never heard of this before.
if you talk to the priestess she gives you a buff called Ancient Dragon's Blessing that you can use, it negates all damage types by 10% for 70 seconds!
Honestly the craziest part about this is that, when you beat radahn, the dlc basically goes into new game plus mode. All the enemies and any remaining bosses are buffed. Wild that a buffed bayle is easier than an unbuffed radahn lmao

An advice i have used and i think you could used, use the mimic when equipped with a talisman and only the scarlet rot spells. He will only use it.

I love going in and killing radahn with hand of malenia, scarlet aeonia, and now rotten butterflies, and just giving him ptsd from his previous encounter with malenia hahaha. I love thinking that he's having flashbacks and traumatized lol. Also he's just hella weak to rot. Pretty much everyone is. That might sound mean but radahn is so annoying and this is a way to end him easily. Also "rot-weiler" 😂 that was pretty clever. Never heard anyone see that before in reference to the rotten stray ashes.
Edit: I hated rotten butterflies when I first used it at the games release, I was so disappointed cause it was awful. But I started playing it again a couple weeks ago and I'd heard it got a patch along with rain of fire, another terrible but potentially amazing spell. Upon trying them both they are definitely way better than they were. They do really good damage now. Rotten butteflies does big damage on some enemies and almost always rots them. Of course scarlet aoenia is still better.
I did rot Consort with Scarlet Aeonia in my actual DLC playthrough, because I thought it was funny, I had to time the flying animation so he misses with his swipes. Was kinda easier than fighting him normally.
I'm curious why you didn't do the jumping cast of Rot Breath ever, would have been good to ignore those finger creepers, and any other ground AOE while getting damage in

This is a really awesome idea for a run, really forces you to learn the boss movesets when you're sitting there and waiting for them to die of (absolutely not) natural causes. Shame it's only Rotten Stray, Finlay (with certain moves) and Mimic (in certain cases) that can cause Rot for the summons. As for the day, it's DAMN hot in Boston. It's been like, 95 for 2 weeks. Really hoping that doesn't keep up.

Weird idea. Purifying crystal tear is useable with one of the explosive tears. When this happens you actually throw your physick and if it hits Mohg he only heals 25% of what he would have, but you take the bleed damage.
i would recommend use ezykys decay(idk the exacat spellings), you basically get it from killing that dragon near the church of dragon communion i think

I think you could have gotten antspur and poison flower blooms twice fairly easily to make your run a bit faster. The rotten butterflies got buffed with hyper armor and increased rot built up but you should have went with the pole arm (which also got buffed).
Oh and I beat Rahdan with poison flower and antspur the first time I played. I think I have a recoding of it on my channel if you’re interested.

Melanie isn't immune like another rot goddess is and she gives u scarlet aeonia which I'm pretty sure can't be cancelled out of during the descent and gives a few s. Maybe ironjar.
edit: I'm making too many edits. Got Radahn down by having rotten breath on my bar and hefty rot pot. The mimic threw it. Then got him again with the 2 summons. Rot is extra strong when there's summons cuz it's %hp dmg and the bosses get more hp the more npcs there are. Could also just get 2 cooperators and one of them to carian sovereignty him twice.

Wow, what a tough challenge and congrats on that! I certainly take nothing away from you having to use your fist to move the tree avatar onto the next phase. Question though, how did you get so many hefty rot pots? I thought there were only so much of the ingredients available or do they respawn and so can be farmed?
both the ingredients are farmable, i used the village of flies to farm for the fly mold and the scarlet bloom had a farmable spot just before romina you can swoop it and grab a couple then teleport back to grace and repeat there were many hours of me just killing flies because the drop rate can be horrible LOL
@@curtisthecactus Thank you, Curtis! FYI, there's a fly mold bell bearing called Moldmonger's Bell Bearing and after turning it in at the Twin Husks, then you can buy fly mold for 2500 runes a pop. Pretty pricey but better than farming. :)

13:05 AGREED, out of all the other bosses in the Land of Shadows, this guy is the most annoying one to fight.
Since the first time we've seen the hefty pots, I'm in love with them (I find them really funny). So I've implemented different kinds of hefty pots for my main character (no matter what build it's running), mostly frost for the bosses. But the hefty rot pot is crazy. Radahn is easier with it, because he gets damaged even during his freekin' long combos.
GJ on the vid, just one question, why did you exclude Romina's spear? Isn't that procs rot as well?
Also, I wish we would have rot perfume bottle as well (it would make a perfume build valid).
