Your drop-off isn't far from where I live. It's interesting watching someone who's not from the area drive around my neighborhood. If you ever get back to Hillsboro and have time, stop in at Three Mugs Brewery and tell them Jim sent you. Also, the drive out to Seaside might not be as much fun as you think; crossing the costal range on 26 can be tricky if the weather turns, especially after dark. Also, kudos for successfully navigating the tunnel and interchange between routes 26, 405, 5 and 84. One of the worse highway interchanges I've ever experienced, and I say that as someone who drove around NYC and NJ for most of his life.
Even in the 90s Portland was a bowl of spaghetti with a few broken noodles. 46:14 - Exit 17. North side used to be Kruger's truck stop. Bit rough, but excellent food. South side, the T/A was Burns Bros. and Love's was a Flying J.
@@JuanRempel That Flying J was the one where I first rented an audiobook on cassette, and could return it at any Flying J. It was a really nice place unless you wanted food. I usually stopped at Kruger's unless it was full. I think Kruger's shut down in '99. My run had changed a bit by then and I was stopping at Gee Cee's in Toledo WA. Another great place for food. Then delivery in Rainier in the morning, and on to Portland and Medford.
Oh, about 25 years of delivering in Portland and all around the area, so glad we moved to eastern Oregon, don't miss Portland in the least, lots of memories though.
See you next time Juan
Very relaxing video, thankyou
Those clouds look a little troublesome.
Those clouds really troubling.
Love the stormy days
Winter has found us. It was quite warm yesterday and quite nippy today
Funny enough it's quite cold here today too
Thx. For your work on all the vids. Bud
You bet

That's awesome, hopefully we will be back.

The good old days when truck stops had real food

Good afternoon
I suppose having a dust pan/trash bag would eliminate messing up a customer’s clean tarmac.
Some customers bring out a trash can and I sweep the deck into that.

Yea, it's a mess these days
