Concorde isn’t coming out of retirement, but supersonic jets are, United just ordered a bunch of supersonic jets from a company called Boom! And there are a bunch of private supersonic jets coming out soon aswell!

They haven't placed direct orders. they have expressed interest and put bids to buy into the type once it enters production but they are not contractual purchases - United could easily pull out of the deal at any time.

@@mrspecs9211 Yeah. BOOM has a test platform in the XB-1 but no Overture test platform yet. Pretty sure they're working on the full-scale mockup as we speak and as soon as they have engines available they should hopefully have an airborne Overture prototype.
That last bit's rather 50-50 though. Initially they were working with Rolls-Royce to produce high bypass turbofan engines that would be able to handle supercruise-type flight under the wing of an airliner, but Rolls have stepped out of the partnership and no other engine manufacturer wants to take on the task of designing the engines with BOOM (yet)

Even when subsonic I doubt the Concorde could operate out of many domestic airports due to noise regulations favoring the high-bypass fans everything is using today.
Speed isn't even a major factor with modern airliners as they all fly well below their max to save fuel as much as possible.

1000 Word Explain Of The Concorde.
The Concorde was a supersonic passenger airliner that was developed jointly by the British and French governments in the 1960s. The two countries were looking to create a plane that could fly faster than any other commercial airliner, and they succeeded - the Concorde could reach speeds of up to Mach 2.04, or over twice the speed of sound.
The first Concorde prototype was built in 1965, and the first test flight took place in 1969. After several years of further testing and development, the Concorde finally went into commercial service in 1976, with British Airways and Air France as the primary operators.
The Concorde was a marvel of engineering, incorporating some truly revolutionary technology. Its most distinctive feature was its delta wing design, which was optimized for high-speed flight. The plane was also equipped with afterburners, which allowed it to reach supersonic speeds. Its engines were designed to be as efficient as possible, and the entire plane was built from lightweight materials to help reduce fuel consumption.
One of the most impressive things about the Concorde was its speed. It could travel from New York to London in just 3.5 hours, compared to a typical flight time of around 7 hours. This made it an incredibly attractive option for business travelers and anyone else looking to save time. The Concorde was also known for its luxurious amenities, including gourmet meals and personalized service.
Despite its many advantages, the Concorde was not without its problems. One of the biggest issues was its high operating costs. The plane was incredibly expensive to build and maintain, and its fuel consumption was also higher than that of other commercial airliners. This meant that ticket prices for Concorde flights were prohibitively expensive for most people - a round-trip ticket from New York to London cost around $8,000.
Additionally, the Concorde was not without its safety concerns. In 2000, an Air France Concorde crashed shortly after takeoff from Paris, killing all 109 passengers and crew on board as well as 4 people on the ground. The crash was caused by a piece of debris on the runway that punctured one of the plane's tires, causing it to explode and damage one of the engines. The Concorde's fuel tanks were also located in a vulnerable position, which made them more susceptible to damage in the event of an accident.
In the wake of the crash, public confidence in the Concorde began to wane. Many airlines began to retire their Concorde fleets, and the plane's reputation never fully recovered. In 2003, both British Airways and Air France announced that they would be retiring their Concorde planes for good. The final Concorde flight took place on October 24, 2003, bringing an end to an era of supersonic passenger travel.
Despite its relatively short lifespan, the Concorde remains an iconic symbol of aviation history. Its sleek design and incredible speed captured the imaginations of people around the world, and its legacy continues to inspire new generations of engineers and designers.
Speaking of travel, have you thought about where you'd like to go on your next vacation? Maybe somewhere with a beautiful beach, or a bustling city full of culture and excitement? Whatever your travel preferences, there are plenty of amazing destinations out there just waiting to be explored.

    Wrong, that is a myth.
Noise clearly was not why it failed. The Concord cost way to much to operate and inefficient rightful use with low weight carry capabilities. That is why it failed. It was a complex, expensive to maintain. The nose that hinged down added a lot of weight and complexity, while innovative for the time is a major flaw adding lots of wasteful weight and complexity.
I have been on one, it fusalage is a tiny tight barely usable tube that can barely carry any liggage. So noise clearly is not who it failed. It never made money, that's why it failed. It didn't make money because of it's economically poor design.

Though the Concorde is capable to fly at mach 2, that is almost three times speed of normal jet planes, they can maintain supersonic speeds only over oceans and after leaving lands far behind. Again at destination, they need to decelerate before they come over land. So real time saving in flying is far less for the ton of money on tickets.
Next as on date, at any major airport anywhere in the world we waste a lot of time at the airport, from checkin, baggage checkin, emigration, security check and wait at gates, boarding time and and at destination deboarding, to immigration, baggage collect, customs checks and reach your destination. You won't really feel any time saved or gained at all by flying supersonic.
So for a (say) seven hours flight across Atlantic, you may save only three hours by Concorde for the ton of extra money. But, add total travel time other than actually being in the sky is anywhere between five to eight hours from home to destination. So what did you save?
