One of the major things that I will miss from Burnie's Vlog is the inside look on Rooster Teeth, which isn't something we see anywhere else. With RT Life not being as prevelent, this Vlog, while it had its adventures elsewhere, was a way of knowing where the company was at and how it operated. So while I am sad to see it go, I do wish for something else that would help fans like myself who are fascinated by the company and its growth.

Burnie is like my second dad. While my own father has taught me plenty, he is rather terrible with words and feelings. Between him and Burnie, who somehow manages to talk about something I need to hear, I find the energy to keep going. Thanks Burnie!

Jonathon Benham but Burnie should be there too, the whole reason of this is to make her his protector during Apocalypse right? And he can grade her at the end to say if she has learned all she needs or "this will take more work than I thought". But Elle is pretty bad ass that I now wonder if there's someone at RT as bad ass or if she'll be "Rick" of RT during the apocalypse.

Burnie is inspirational in many ways. He's open, honest and accepting that even his mistakes have a value to them that allows him to progress, either through not making the same mistake, or solving the same problem from another angle.
More importantly, I feel that what he radiates out is something even more amazing: He gives people the motivation and the gentle encouragement to just *try* to begin with. He knows you'll make mistakes, he knows it might not even work, but he's proud that you've just *attempted* something, and that's a quality you really have to cherish in a person.

Man. I used to watch RT a lot a few years ago and eventually drifted off from it. Then I saw Burnie's vlog one day and thought how cool it was to see the up close and personal of the people that made my favorite show (RvB). It was cool to meet Ellie and all the odd tasks she was put to do. Anyway I'll probably miss it much more than I thought and will definitely be in anticipation for whatever comes to take its place.

This is my favourite kind of Burnie Vlog; the ones in which he gives advice and sheds light on his beliefs and philosophies. It's fascinating to watch and to try to adapt the things he says into my own life to help me grow both emotionally and professionally, as a lot of his advice doesn't really shoehorn itself by its own nature. I personally hope that the last few vlogs are more of the same. The lifestyle stuff is fun, but the insight into the mindset and philosophies of such a successful person truly make for an enthralling watch. Sad to see it go, but happy that the time it frees will be put to good use!

I am literally working my last day of work tomorrow from my retail job, to invest full time and money into my own business. It'll be the last day of my two weeks notice. I've planned it for awhile now and had a lot of backlash from people(friends, family, coworkers), but something inside me has told me it's the right choice. Pretty much everything around me has pointed toward that path in life. I believe in myself that I can do it, but I will say, at this point, as it's getting closer, it's a little bit nerve wrecking. This is the exact thing I required hearing.
Thanks, Burnie, for all the great content and the great advice! I hope you all continue to thrive and prosper, as a company and as individual people.

Ever since i was introduced to Rooster Teeth ive been a fan ever since. I cant call myself a huge fan yet since im only new to the RT fandom for about a few months. That aside, i LOVE everything about them. The Lets Plays, The Animated Adventures, The web series such as Camp Camp (i swear this needs as much seasons as RWB/ Red vs blue has, seriously its a WONDERFUL series. Pls dont end it at season two), RWBY, etc. The live streams and everything else. Some of the most notable stuff for me is Michael's wild party animal personality and colorful language, Miles Luna being a dorky cinammon roll and Geoff's kid, Millie, being a total savage badass for a kid her age. And lets not forget Joey the cat along with the other RT pets. Pls dont ever stop being awesome. I know you guys will never read this. But i just felt like showing my gratitude. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

As an aspiring entrepreneur, this advice speaks well to me. I've failed on so many endeavors spanning years at a time, but the one thing that motivates me is knowing that I only need to succeed *once*. I'll try and not lose sight of that whenever things get super rough, and they have. But I learn nothing if I don't make mistakes of course. Papa bless Burnie.

I just recently moved 1700 miles away from home (from South Louisiana to North Dakota) for a well paying job for a relatively new company (4 years old). I use to work as a wireline operator before I got laid off in 2016 and I recently had been wanting to get back in it. My old wireline company wanted me to come back and I told them yes. Not long after that, this company called me. I had been thinking of moving out of state for a while, but now it was actually happening. I talked it over with friends and family and decided to make the move. I couldn't be happier. These vlogs have definitely reassured me of this decision and kept be going when I started having second guesses. Thank you :D

I fell in love with rwby at episode 8: players and pieces and that's because of the huge action scene with both main teams. I had no idea if the show would be any good but it was interesting enough to watch but that was the moment where I started telling people about it, and it has been one of my favourite shows since then.

    • @DexterNewton32
      @DexterNewton32 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Same for me. My problem atm is the choreography and action he talked about in this very video is something that has been waning and kind of weak (for me personally and some others in the community) in past Volumes. I hope that they can - since Burnie seems to be aware of this appeal of RWBY - get back to form with that. I'm not expecting Monty-level stuff, but something that strives to be similar.

Erik van Rijn I agree. This one at the very least got me thinking.
I'm at a point in my life where I'm content with what I have, and what I'm set up to soon gain (IE Home ownership and a marriage).
However, I still feel like something is missing. I think that thing is risk. I tend to play things very safe, and only make bets I know are in my favor.
I have this feeling of ambition, something I need to accomplish. I just don't know what that is yet. But there's something.
And I think that goes back to looking out for opportunity. I should probably open myself up to more experiences and opportunities, and the best way to do that is... take risks.
      Funny how that works out.

Burnie, as an aspiring independent artist currently going through the process of putting together his own studio (we're starting with comics and podcasting), and in light of this particular video, I feel I speak for all start-ups when I ask for a video follow up on this same video where you share your insights on the process of putting together the blueprints and lay the foundational work to establish a brand and building a artistic platform with a team. Your work and experience is greatly appreciated, and alongside Rooster Teeth, you have served as a role model, pioneering the journey from audience and enthusiast to creator and maker. Best of luck with your future projects and may all your risks bear the results you and your team dream of, realizing through your work, your vision. Cheers!

Dear Burnie, you are an icon and a true role model, an amazing, wise and absolutely great person, and this vlog series has been insightful and inspiring and I feel it has somehow improved my life a little bit. Please don't stop.
Regardless, I'm excited for the future, thank you for everything.

Yep. Ran my business for a year. It was the best time. Ran out of income/profit, literally down to the dollar. Biggest issue, leads. Talent is there, marketing not so great. But, I tried many things and had a great time doing it. One of the best/stressed years, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Now, time to go back to work for others again, stock up on money, and try it later, with lessons learned!

I'm going to miss the Vlog. You took us to places we haven't been, and gave us a behind the scene look at Rooster Teeth. Going forward, it might be nice to meet more of the talent at RT that we don't normally see on camera. The talent that's made the biggest impressions at RT. Thanks again.

Thank-you so much Burnie for making this vlog in particular about taking risks and how failures are just as important. I'm right in the middle of taking a Big risk career wise, and hearing this from You especially gives me that extra bit of strength and confidence in my decision. Thank-you.

These Vlogs are a highlight to my week. They're kind of relaxing in a way while I watch at work.

I am very grateful for the Burnie vlogs. They're been very inspiring and entertaining for me, and I loved watching them. As someone who's taking big risks with his life right now, these vlogs were of immense help, and has even inspired me to want to start doing some vlogging of my own, or at least keeping video records of everything that I'm doing. I'm sad to hear that it'll come to an end, but I really hope Ellie (or someone else) will keep making these vlogs. Thank you so much, Burnie and Ellie!

Gonna miss these! Even as my days get more busy and I can't watch as much RT content I always made times for Burnie Vlogs! Good luck on whatever you are starting next!

Sincerely, thank you Burnie, these vlogs have been funny, informative and just the essence of Rooster Teeth altogether. Sad to see them go, but I had to say thank you for the conversations you've had with us, they have had more impact than I think you realise. Not only was it a fantastic way to reconnect with you, but it gave us a look into the life you lead and the advice you gave us (personally for me) really helped me to do things I thought I never could achieve. Good luck with your future endeavours, I will definitely be keeping up to date with your content!!

Wait a moment, there is a gen:lock printed paper on the desk at the beginning. This video came out in 2017. Gen:lock starts in 2019. They have been planning this for two years!?!? At 0:49

I definitely appreciated the moments of getting to take a look behind the scenes of the company, not just of people goofing off, but also as real professionals doing a real job. I hope that there will be some other format that can give us that sort of insight going forward.
The other thing is that I hope that Ellie gets something to call her own. I think it's apparent to everyone that she's a good onscreen personality, and she deserves to have a dedicated platform for herself, or at least appear more often in front-facing content.

I have loved these last few weeks of vlogs especially. Like this one, the ‘saying no’ and ‘saying yes’ ones, some of my favorites, I would really like to see more of the behind the scenes of rooster teeth, and what your thought processes are. It’s really intriguing and I know I learned a lot, so just wanted to thank you for doing these :)

I'll be sad to see the vlog go. I've been a big fan of them and honestly, some of them have been very inspiring. Bernie isn't much older than I am and seeing what he's done, doing and capable of makes me look up to him.

In less that two weeks I will be graduating university and within the month I will be leaving the only home I've ever known, packing up my life, saying goodbye to all my family and friends and moving 5.5 hours away, from the suburban to rural Australia, in order to start my career. It's really scary and it's sure to be difficult and I don't deal well with change. But there was something you said in this video that really spoke to me: "I am a past version of a future me." I've never though about it that way before so, although I'm terrified about everything that is happening in my life, you've helped give me some confidence to take those steps, so thank you :)
As for the coming vlogs, I'd really like a video where we can see the culmination of Ellie's apocalypse training and maybe have her teaching you what she's learned. A sort of 'student becomes the master, handing over the reigns', sort of thing
