    The dart pegs you removed are not trash. They are perfect for mixing 2 part epoxy. 👍🏻 You could hit the black body with some rub&buff to get some copper tones on it!

      I never tried buff and rub before.
      I totally had the dart pegs in my hands, about to go into my warhammer bits box before I just tossed them. I'll have to save them next time

    I just painted one of these for my Hellboy cosplay, I might have to re-open it so I can fix the dart thing! Fun video!

      Thank you,
      That's actually a great idea! I don't know why I didn't think of Hellboy when I saw a massive, huge gun

    could you repaint a thundershot and have it be like the 'toon' pistle eddie valint had in who framed roger rabbit?

    Thank you for this. I found me one of these at the Goodwill and was wanting just to paint it but sense the modding of it seems pretty simple I'll probably just go ahead and do that as well, would also help when painting it. It sorta reminds me of Hellboy's Good Samaritan, why I got it.

    I havent ever had any wild west larps here but im always happy to be able to help you guys out! This thing looks like you could 3d print quite a lot of fun parts or adapt already existing ones. for a wild west larp i really dont like the handle since even painted brown it makes the whole thing look like a very modern revolver. My favorite foam blaster revolver is actually the accustrike alphahawk which you can modify to get rid of the big crossguard in the back and use as a GIGANTIC big iron of a revolver.

      Thank you! I like to give credit where credit is due. and Yes! I loved the alphahawk! except when I painted mine, I gunked up the internals and it doesn't fire right. I'll have to thrift another one

    That thing looks prime perfect for a bladerunner Deckard’s gun cosplay

    This looks like a really fun project!
    One thing that might help with disguising logos with that much dimension is epoxy putty (like WaterWeld) - you could fill in the recesses (and maybe even the back of the raised areas) and then sand it after it cures. Even if you can’t level everything out entirely, it might help sort-of disguise things a bit.
    Thanks for such an informative video!

    Now you just have to build a holster!

    You can always look at epoxying on a thin metal plate over text or logos after you stamp it or scribe it with your choice of fictional manufacturer and serial number.
    An option that may improve performance is to add something like a half inch of 17/32" brass tubing right at the very lead edge of each cylinder. Make sure that the rear of your brass ring is not crimped in from your cutter and make sure that the lead edge is very slightly flared out. Definitely give a test run with one slot to start with.

      Thanks for the support! I've been told there's two sets of internals floating around? good ones and bad ones?!

    Good to see the new ones don't have that really long dart holder. It's now a short nub.

    I found the plunger and o ring was very loose so I tightened up mine with some thread tape and grease. Shoots like a boss now. Anyone know what kind of mod spring would work?

  • @LookIfBored

    Would you say the hammershot springs work on it? Trying to get one to upgrade it

    Will it Re-assemble without the barrel and still fire? making that into a snub-nose would be interesting

      @breakingcharacterlarp8236  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe so, shortening the barrel would be interesting

    I know this was 1 year ago but do have a Challenge for you turn it into A Pepperbox based on the The legend of Vox Machina "The List", also how was the the gun upon removing the pegs as according to some it is 40 or 50 FPS any sudden changes?

  • @thetribunaloftheimaginatio5247

    Yeah, the dart-posts on ANY blaster are... pretty much useless. At least on the blaster. But as others have pointed out, you can always keep one or two to mix two-part epoxy or the whole lot for miniatures-terrain.
    And yeah... Army Painter and Citadel rattle-cans are expensive. I go for Krylon Short Cuts... yeah, you don't get as much, but they're cheap and they make excellent undercoats. But one of these days, I'm gonna bite the bullet and get a rattle-can of Leadbelcher.

    • @breakingcharacterlarp8236
      @breakingcharacterlarp8236  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used Citadel paints on my first nerf paint job. I hand painted parts of it and then used a matte spray for protection. You're right, the leadbelcher popped! But I don't know if its worth the time. I have used that same blaster for over 4 years now so...

      @@breakingcharacterlarp8236 I use Citadel paints in all my Nerf-mods... and oooooh, the UNSPEAKABLE things I want to do to those new Dragon Power blasters... well, the FireShot and the EmberStrike, any old how.
