Amazing sculpture, as always! I love how "imperfections" in the wood like the crack are highlighted rather than hidden, it makes the sculpture feel like it's at peace with nature, not fighting it. It also adds a lot of interest to the piece, and makes it more unique.
Thank you! It originally came from a place where that is all i had to work with, But yeah now i do kinda like the look of the cracks
Another beautiful, living piece, and yes the deep groove at the back was a great idea, and does break up the form dynamically. Your carving videos are one of the few I watch from start to finish, rather than skipping parts, they're really interesting. Well done
Thank you! I try to keep them interesting and it does make me have to think very creatively which i think is a good thing!
I love the oiling part. Besides satisfying to the eye, it make me happy to see you have reached the top of the mountain and can, finally get you're deserved rest.
Thank you! That is a very good point and i sometimes look at my sculptures and remind myself that wow i went through with that!
What a beautiful sculpture Jonas I like that you don’t let a small crack get in the way of the piece thank you sir
Thank you so much!
You talk about taking all of the cut-offs and gluing them together, and making a carving. And since you will have a bunch of different types of wood, you should carve a duckbill platypus. Since it looks like a bunch of leftover parts
Youre falcon came out buetiful. By making the head of the falcon made it so you could add alot more details which is really cool. The best thing about youre woodcarvings is that you have not only made it youre passion. You also were able to show youre passion to the world for everyone to see. That's what will keep you going.
Thank you! To be honest half of the time spent is probably editing and filming. Sometimes i think about quitting youtube, But i am afraid of it because it does give me a lot of motivation
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft your craft is exquisite, listening to your voice reminds me of a warm summers day by a calm waters edge, gently trickling away. you consistently deliver quality over quantity. you’re genuine and it shows. keep it up luvli, you’ll reap what you sew.
The floating of the sculpture is really creative! It looks beautiful
Thank you so much!
Another beautiful sculpture. Thank you for taking time to carve, film, edit and post this video.
Thank you! I am motivated to edit so that i can start my next project 😅
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft that's great to hear, I can't wait to see it!
A beautiful man with incredible talent!!! Wow, well done!
Thank you!
The contrasting colors on each side one really dark and other lighter is so beautiful like you caught the diffrent personalities of the bird. One strong and angry like and other peaceful like. Love it
WOW!!! The amount of talent you have......!!!! This is gorgeous!!! Greetings from Greece.💯🌟
Thank you so much!
Humility is the keystone to life I am so proud of your outlook and your work, Thank you for sharing your gift with the world Jonas. This Hawk is stunning.
I love how you embrace the cracks in the wood for most of your sculptures, you embrace your imperfections too and I absolutely love it!
Thank you! I have a lot of fun doing that
A predator bird sculpture would lend itself so well to be suspended from the ceiling. Like it's diving down to its prey.
Also love the idea of a frankenstein sculpture of sorts. Meaning just different scrap blocks glued together and sculpted.
Thank you! Yeah it would probably be a lot of work, But it would be a meaningful sculpture
I love that the crack looks like a battle scar on the head but is centered well through the body. Beautiful work!
Thank you so much!
I really love when you oil the sculptures and show the grain reveals.
Thank you! Always a satisfying part!
Wow, this walnut sculpture is incredible… with the „scarf“in his face it seems to be a very old and wise natural goodness you’ve designed. Personally love things with special imperfections. It gives an unique character you can’t duplicate. Thanks for sharing and when your stress make such creativity it’s worth it
Thank you!
Hi Jonas! I probably won't be too unique in my question. I've been watching your channel for a very long time and I admire your work every time. Is it possible to get a couple of your sketches, I dream of hanging them in frames at home. Your style is unique :) Thanks for the content!
It has been so much fun watching your work progress in each video. I applaud your consistency and vulnerability in sharing the creative process. It’s no small thing to put yourself out there like this and you continue to inspire me each time I see a video drop.
Thank you!
Your talent is awe inspiring. The way you incorporated the bow ties into the sculpture worked well and sets you apart from others. Hopefully you will consider incorporating, as needed, in the future and maybe even embracing them as a feature. The symbolism that can be found in having something large being held together by a couple of small pieces resonates deeply with me. Using a different type of wood for the bow ties could help with the overall design as well.
Thank you!
Just to reiterate what all other commenters on here this is amazing craftsmanship and I can see a successful career in ur art. Ur efforts will pay dividends for rest of your life
I love how is looks like wind wisps, very good pick for a falcon. Turning imperfections in the wood into part of the sculpture is very impressive. Amazing piece as always 👍
Thank you! Yeah that crack wasnt easy to digure out where to have in the sculpture
Jonas is a true artist
Thank you so much!
I want so badly to see a flock of these falcons suspended from the ceiling of a gallery. Excellent work!
She may have flaws but her strength shines through...❤🌸❤
One of my favourite sculptures of yours. Really creative and beautiful flow trough out the hole sculpture
Thank you wo much!
Once more a beautiful piece. I think the split in the wood came out nicely and gave the falcon the look of an older member of it's species that saw quite a few things and came out ok, after all of it.
And yeah #3 was my first pick. Thoug the mix you chose also ended up looking amazing. ^^
Thank you! Yeah would be fun to see the #3 carved as well
Enjoyed the video! It’s amazing how black walnut always gives such satisfying look after sanding and oiling. It’s another great piece in the collection!
Thank you! Yes it is, But i feel like its time to try some different wood species soon!
First off, you do amazing work. Very inspiring, which is why I'd like to ask, if you would do an equipment video. I'd like to give this a try. Thanks in advance. And keep carving!!
Thank you! Perhaps in the future i can do that
Absolutely beautiful! Your artwork has inspired me to start carving myself... Not on the scale you are doing, but I am fighting severe arthritis in my hands and at times need to stop myself from carving because of the pain and inflammation, but I won't stop because it also helps me to fight stress and depression.
Hey i am glad to hear that you are making stuff and i takr motivation from hearing about your perseverence! Much luck with your carving!
Watching you work is incredible! I was watching the little fox or dog not sure which with all of the swirls.. and it made me think wow what could you do with a horses head and the swirl in the middle of their foreheads not to begin to think of the mane wow I would seriously love to see that
A masterpiece, hello from Vancouver Island 🏝️🇨🇦👍
Jonas, the falcon is beautiful! I love how it looks like the wind is lifting the feathers. Flows wonderfully. Love your work.
Thank you so much! I kind of had the same thing in my mind when i looked at it. It wasnt intended, But it really got a heavy element of wind in it
It came out so beautiful! I'm so glad that the gluing worked out so well!
Thank you! Yeah it made a pretty nice fit
Walnut would look beautiful with large cracks filled with putty and capped off in some slabs cut to fit of well polished tigerseye ( a very affordable material too)
Dear Jonas, thank you for all your exquisite work. It is a true pleasure to see your sculptures blossom and to witness your art journey. You have a quality and brilliant character, thank you for sharing your sincere thoughts and experiences. You are a true inspiration and I wish you the best in life. Don't be hard on yourself, those who care about you won't judge about minor details (your sculptures are breathtaking as they are genuine pieces of art).
PS: The stargazing owl is such a magical sight, right out of a storybook, with a captivating charm.
Thank you! Funny how you mention the stargazer. Its probably one of the sculptures i might never part with
Craftsman? Artist? A master at his unique style! I love your work.
Thank you so much! Inspiring words!
Beautiful, well done
im always blown away by your art
i know the cracks are part
and parcle of using logs,
but i would be tempted to fill them with resin..
looking forward
to your next upload.
simon uk
Thank you so much! Hmm i dont know about resin. I kinda like to try to give honour the how it originally looks even with the cracks, But i so some some people working with resin that makes truly epic artwork!
I love all the art you have created, each one is unique and beautiful.
Thank you! That is where my focus is
Stunning carving!
Thank you!
Just as I was thinking to myself that those placeholder rods would look amazing if they were brass, you mentioned buying some brass rods. Amazing sculpture as always, man.
Yeah brass is beautiful… and expensive apparently!
Your work is amazing and inspiring. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽
Thank you so much!
Hey Mr. Jonas; yayyy so happy for a new video. I would like to say first that, when you go through stress in life, then being creative is the best way to make feel better and so sorry to hear that you have to go through stress but believe in tomorrow, the sun rises and so will the stress also go away one day. Now to your sculpture, wowwwwww again such a stunning sculpture, the black base is perfect and perfect size for it and the steel is perfect for it too. You did it again, a majestical sculpture and I say it again, like I said in the beginning, I know you can do it, I have faith in you.
Jonas, have you considered doing a virtual exhibition of your sculptures and sketches? You could reach a lot more people, and I am relatively sure that your followers across the globe would be interested in participating. There is a lot of information on the internet and, I believe, even an app. Love your work ❤
Yes and i think that is a good point. Traveling with my sculptures to a physical location would take a lot of time that i would like to spend in other ways
Absolutely amazing!
Thank you!
The oiling part so good! You became a great ARTIST!! I've followed your channel for years and i'm so proud at your growth:)
Keep doing what you do and remember to do what makes you happy. Staying healthy is most important.
Thanks for sharing your talent with us. You are a great inspiration.
Hugs Lisa
Thank you so much! A few years ago my focus was on trying to come up with cool stuff that would be a hit here on youtube, But nowadays i am more focused on honing my skills instead too have a more reliable future projection.
Sounds like a man maturing aswell as your art :)
Thank you Jonas it’s a beautiful sculpture 🙏
Your amazing talent and art needs/deserves great quality wood 💫
Thank you!!
Beautiful soothing sculpture. Canada

Thank you!
Never failed to mesmerize us...what an incredible sculpture... beautiful and ecstatically magical ❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌
Thank you! It ended up more awesome than i expected!
Amazing job Jonas! 👏 👍
I love this so much. My wallet laughed at me when I heard you will be selling the next one since I'm sure it will be beyond my ability to afford, but that 2 second clip really made me excited to see it. Thank you for sharing your amazing art with us!
Thank you so much! Hmm i will have to think about the pricing. Time used, Material cost, tools and so on. Its exciting!
amazing work as always!! thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much!
I love this kind of creativity! I'd like to see you try something like kintsugi, with some kind of gold filler in the wood cracks to really highlight the imperfections sometime. I think with the right kind of wood it would be really spectacular. 😊
Thank you! That would probably look awesome combined with some nlack walnut
Yesss! Exactly. 🙌 I just recently made a flour based air dry clay at home and I'm doing this technique to embrace all the cracks in my sculpture. 😅
Gorgeous!!
Thank you so much!
Totally gorgeous ❤
Thank you!
What a true gift you have! I think whale 🐋 carving could be really majestic
Thank you! Yes i should try to do that!
Nice work my friend
You surprise me with these every time, good job, keep it up
Thank you! I plan to surprise even more in my next one!
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft Uuu, can't wait to see it

Yes! A good way to start the weekend. Thanks 🙂Any news on the exhibition?
Thank you! Hmm exhibition is on hold kind of, But i have 3 sculputures displayed at a local art display house. I will try to film some of it for my next video. Its a good start to get out there
Oiling is like coming alive... (great job by the way !)
Yes! Its a great part of the project
It's gorgeous!! ❤❤
Thank you!!
Jonas👌👌👌 masterpieces one after the other ... you are blessed brother🙏
Thank you! Many blessings to you as well!
Hmm, with battle scar ^^
This not only looks amazing, but would work great for a spell or something.
Just imagine this in, like, an ethereal, transparent blue as a magic missile.
Can we maybe have the silly guy from a few videos back?
Thank you! Well theres still snow here in Norway so maybe some silly scenes will come in the next video!
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft
A few Videos back, I think in the one with the Lion sculpture, you showed a sketch of a silly Guy, and I'd love to see how that one would look in 3D.
Edit: I can't seem to find the Video in question, but at 0:34 min in the Video with the Otter sailing on a seashell, you can see the silly Guy for a Moment on the upper right in the Sketch book.
That is stunning 😍
Thank you so much!
very beautiful, i like your style and humble energy ❤
Thank you so much! I think i may have talked too much about myself in this video. I am trying to make it more about the creative process
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft perhaps. Part of the creative process is making the video and it will often express where you are at the time you make it. I've found that with my videos, sometimes I like them, sometimes I don't. But they all reflect the state I was in when they were made. It's useful to look back and learn :) I think you're doing great. Your videos are very pleasing to watch and your carvings are excellent. It all seems to moving forward in a very positive way. Stay faithful to the Greater Plan at work. Much love brother.
Another gorgeous piece!
Thank you so much!
Yes you are right I like #3
Another beautiful creation 💛 thank you 😊 it is so lifelike 🦅
Thank you! The colors on the one side really made it pop i think!
Yes! Absolutely and those lines and curves are amazing ❤@Jonasolsenwoodcraft
Soooo beautiful 😮❤
Thank you!
Very beautiful 👍👏
Thank you!
JONAS. !!!!!! You should do a carving on a LIVING. TREE. And. Watch. It. Grow. That. Would. Be. Cool. !!!! Branch. Out Sorta. Speak. lol.
Underbart vackert i vanlig ordning! 😍
Tusen takk!
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you Iona! It honestly became better than i feared a while into the project.
Amazing work as always! I really enjoy your videos and artistic creative designs.. every single one of them is unique. Somehow you can tell though, that they come from the same head ;) If I may, I have a suggestion regarding this particular piece. As u said at the beginning of this video, this cool falcon looks a bit angry, and it really does. so.. it would be better if it were leaning forward as if it is diving steeply attacking its prey. This would make it possible for someone facing this piece, to see the interesting falcon's back better than its belly.
Pekerjaan yang luar biasa, ini karya seni original dan senang bisa melihat proses pembuatan nya .
Keren kawan, anda benar benar seorang seniman 🎉🎉🎉
salam 👋
Love ur Work. Such a Wonderful Skills u have, Wish you Great Success ahead.
Love From India 🧡🤍💚.
Thank you! Cheers back from Norway!
Nice Jonas!!
Thank you so much!
Отличная работа👏👏👏🔥
Как всегда красавчик👍
Watching your videos is always a pleasure
Thank you so much!
Always love watching your videos, especially after a really stressful week. This sculpture looks amazing! How do you feel your art has grown since you started this process?
Thank you! Well i feel like i stand more on solid ground and i definitely have some sculptures i can say i am very proud of. I have gotten quite far the past year i think and i should be very hopeful for the future based on that.
Достойная работа настоящего мастера!
Thank you!
Hi amazing sculpture and video as always. I realy enjoy your videos every time and to be honest you inspired me I also want to do a small exebition in one or two years. You know I was a carpenter before and now I am a 3d artist. I love 3d printing and I feel like it would be nice to combine 3d printed sculptures with wooden elements. I will see if I can do that in the next years ^^.
Oh you where a carpenter? I wish i had that kind of knowledge. Good luck with the future plans. Fingers crossed you make i your plans come true!
Просто КОСМОС. Фантастично👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Fantastisk Jonas🤩❤️
Takk 😊❤️
Absolutely delicious! Love! Love! Love! You are too hard on yourself.
Thank you so much! You know its a really odd balance because i do this to bring meaning to my life and if i dont dig a bit for something a find interesting it doesnt become that meaningful, But honestly i have a lot of faith in what i do and the support i get really helps me stat in the zone to find new designs for the future!
Incredible! 🔥🌹
Thank you!
Amazing work again ❤ i would love to see you making a hognose because them face is so cute and awesome
Thank you so much!
Do you sell these sculptures?
Did not see them for sale on your web site.
These videos give you a lot of exposure to the world.
I would think the time and effort is worth the investment.
I like how the piece turn out.
Havent sold yet, But now i am in the process of having them displayed at a local place where they might be sold
@@Jonasolsenwoodcraft Good for You. Congratulations.
The falcon turned out nicely. You might consider putting them on your web site for sale.
Very very very Gooooood‼❗👍👍👍👍👍😍😍😍
Thank you so much!
Beautiful👍🏼 but i think the base could have been even shorter and also higher🏆
Thank you! Oh interesting feedback. Perhaps i should try to see how it looks in photoshop
Please share if it seems interesting👍🏼
